I really like how easy this pattern is. But I would like to add....This is cotton thread, so it will shrink when it is washed. So, always wash in COLD water and NEVER dry it. Also when she says a pillar, the term is a double crochet. The hole or gap is called a space. All single crochet and double crochet are stitches. I really appreciate this video. I only add the above because if you look at a pattern in a crochet book those are the terms you need to know in order to learn patterns. Also, when she says skip three stitches, she is only skipping two stitches and double crocheting in the third stitch. Just a friendly information so you can get the best results. Many thanks though to this really sweet youtube user for sharing this. Big hugs. PS: I would still use cotton yarn for this so adorable crochet top or sweater.

I would like to ask if 90 chains will be enough like how do I know that it will fit me do I measure my bust or my wait and make chains depending on that?
Almost finished making this, so excited to wear it. Before its even made ive had people asking me to make them one so clearly im doing it ok 😂😂 Thank you so much for the tutorial!!!
I’m confused on calculating how many chains I need for the sleeves. I have 30 holes arm hole so would that mean I should crochet 90 (30x3) chains long for the arms?
Hey Olivia, just came across this video and subscribed, could you do one with bigger holes and if you know how to design names on them it will be very helpful. I wanna crotchet one for college thanks 🤲
Hi, so is it correct, that starting from row 3, I end one row with 5 single crochets and 1 double crochet and then start the next row with 5 single crochets? Thank you very much for your help:)
Loving this tutorial, I have my two panels done but I'm still confused about the "right side" vs "wrong side." I used black yarn so it's hard to tell :(
When you’re making the second row of squares to do thread into the middle of the hole in the chain or do you loop around it, and then do a double crochet?
When you are just starting the mesh row, you say skip three stitches and double crochet in the thied stitch. Im confused, isnt it suppoused to be crochet in the fourth
hii, i loved the tutorial. i just started with the project but the number of loops/mesh stitch in my first row isnt matching with the one in my last rows, should i start again or can i continue? the difference is of 3 loops/the mesh stitch . i hope im making some sense
Yes, Chain 3 then double crochet into the last gap. Then chain 5 to start the next row. It will look wonky, it doesn’t look exactly straight, as long as you’re not advising stitches as you go along, it should work out
I love this top it’s so cute!! I just started the front and back pieces, but I’m confused on the math you did for the sleeves? I saw that you times the stitches on the sleeve area by 3, would I do the same?
@@sarahann6126 yes i think it’s because of the pattern. like you skip 3 stitches when creating a hole. because she counted the holes, she multiplied the number of holes she had by 3. therefore she knew how many stitches she needed to crochet to create that specific number of holes. because one hole = 3 ‘normal’ stitches. that’s why you have to multiply the number of holes in the sleeve area that you counted by three i hope that helped i am not that good with explaining and english is my second language :)
Thank god you said it's forty cm. Ty. I was kinda pissed you said to chain so much on such a small hook on thicker yarn as it's impossible to then guess. This is perfect to make as a first piece of clothing. If it doesn't fit give it away or shrink it in the washing machine. Your work will last much longer with your smaller stitches. It's so fiddly with a small hook so bravo for that. Do you recommend tape or blu tack or anything on a hook handle to help learn your own handling of the small fiddly hook? 🧡🔥
Hello ! I finished the first panel and did 32 rows, but I just realized it's way to large for my shoulders and go down my arms almost. Is it still going to work ? How can i fix this ? I guess i can just make the sleeve shorter then ?
I've tried this twice, I did chain 5 as you advised but the single crochets at the start still rippled badly. Any advice would be really appreciated xx
It won’t be straight, it does ripple as long as your not increasing( causing the panel to jutt out its fine) & decreasing (which causes the panel to go in). You can message me on instagram if that’s easier Xx

Ooooohhhh I see like the width is too large… the only thing I could think of is decreasing in a few rows but not sure if that would solve your issue. Did you make the sleeve separately and then attach them or did you work from the sleeve whole and then down ?
