    I really like how easy this pattern is. But I would like to add....This is cotton thread, so it will shrink when it is washed. So, always wash in COLD water and NEVER dry it. Also when she says a pillar, the term is a double crochet. The hole or gap is called a space. All single crochet and double crochet are stitches. I really appreciate this video. I only add the above because if you look at a pattern in a crochet book those are the terms you need to know in order to learn patterns. Also, when she says skip three stitches, she is only skipping two stitches and double crocheting in the third stitch. Just a friendly information so you can get the best results. Many thanks though to this really sweet youtube user for sharing this. Big hugs. PS: I would still use cotton yarn for this so adorable crochet top or sweater.

    Thank god you said it's forty cm. Ty. I was kinda pissed you said to chain so much on such a small hook on thicker yarn as it's impossible to then guess. This is perfect to make as a first piece of clothing. If it doesn't fit give it away or shrink it in the washing machine. Your work will last much longer with your smaller stitches. It's so fiddly with a small hook so bravo for that. Do you recommend tape or blu tack or anything on a hook handle to help learn your own handling of the small fiddly hook? 🧡🔥

    I love this top it’s so cute!! I just started the front and back pieces, but I’m confused on the math you did for the sleeves? I saw that you times the stitches on the sleeve area by 3, would I do the same?

    • @sarahann6126
      @sarahann6126 Рік тому

      i dont get why you multiplied it by 3, wouldn’t you multiply by 2 because you have the 2 sides of 12 for the sleeve?

    • @sarahann6126
      @sarahann6126 Рік тому

      or is it 3 because of the type of pattern?

    • @mariaromy2869
      @mariaromy2869 Рік тому +4

      @@sarahann6126 yes i think it’s because of the pattern. like you skip 3 stitches when creating a hole. because she counted the holes, she multiplied the number of holes she had by 3. therefore she knew how many stitches she needed to crochet to create that specific number of holes. because one hole = 3 ‘normal’ stitches. that’s why you have to multiply the number of holes in the sleeve area that you counted by three

      Not really to be honest… you can always add a row by crocheting down the side.

      hi idk if you've started this yet or not but I'd recommend using a different shirt as a guide when you're making the initial chain; it helps get better measurements. I tried just following the tutorial and it came out Way too big. hope this helps!
