Today we take Kat out to the street food carts at Iglesia La Merced, in León, #Nicaragua so that she can try the city's most iconic #streetfood: hamburgers. A #hamburger in Leon is an epic affair and generally comes in an option of one, two or three patties! Kat got the smallest option without any sides and it is a good sized meal all on its own.
We also went to Jugoso for fruit smoothies. Oh so good.

The Lezama family are our friends. There is a very long and interesting story to why they have a hamburger stand as well as Billares, that is near there. I'm going to forward this to both Emirs (father and son). I'm glad Kat enjoyed the burger. Ramon and I would split one, lol. I usually order the bistek burger if we are eating there. :)

Curious to know the cost of the burger and smoothie.
Burger was C$100 which is $2.78 USD. The smooth is C$90 for both of the ones in the video and that would be $2.51. Very affordable, especially considering that burger cut in half, and a smoothie is definitely enough for an entire meal. Even for really high quality, delicious street food that's quite a premium over the average, boy that is cheap. And obviously smoothies are a very premium treat.

It is THE food of Leon! I wish that they'd do veggie burgers like this, everyone reports that these are just so amazing.
