Why is One Man Karaoke a Thing in Nicaragua | Vlog 4 June 2022

Just be talking from the house. But today I went out for dinner and to see "live music" and it was a guy doing karaoke, but just him, with a laptop and a speaker. It was perfectly nice and he did a good job other than having constant feedback because the sound wasn't set up correctly. But it seems really weird to me to use karaoke mixes and a guy with a microphone just playing karaoke songs and singing. I know Nicaragua has a LOT of live music compared to the US so you need more styles and more performers. But... it's just weird, lol.

Hey Scott, I've seen the person hosting the Karaoke sing solo between others vut never JUST them singing. I agree that would be odd to see here in the states.

oh sure, joining in or filling in when there is no one else. In this case, there is no "showing the words", they normally sing lyrics they know or from a phone and it's just the karaoke recording that they've practiced. It's SO weird.
