Mario Land 2 is one of the best Mario games ever made, top 3 2D Mario for sure.
These classics are finally getting the exposure they always needed.
The kids gotta learn about Mace: The Dark Age sooner or later

The colour hack of SML2 is fantastic, best colour I've seen on gbc and it runs better due to the gbc being slightly more powerful
Loved Super Mario Land 2 as a kid. I probably beat it 10 times.

I didn't remember whether or not I ever played Mace: The Dark Age back on N64 until I heard Executioner's fireball noise. The sound combo "Foom AAHHHHHHH!" will always have a place in my long-term memory.
The world needs a 6 hour amiga stream.
I played a lot of War Gods on my N64 back in the day.
Coincidentally just played through the NEW Super Mario Land SNES homebrew/romhack of SML with my wife the other night because it shockingly has coop. She had never played it before so it was a fun way to introduce her to the game

Back in my dos PC days, my family first owned a tandy. Which had three voice sound, which sounded like a symphony compared to the PC internal speaker. And then we purchased a Game Blaster sound card from Radio Shack haha.

I played too many hours of Mace: The Dark Age on N64. I can still recite the voice samples in the numerical sound test order.

Big Burger would pretty highly on a Ranking of N64 games. Scientifically its got the biggest burger
First time I ever played SML2 it felt like it shouldn’t have been possible on the Gameboy. Much love to the Gameboy, but decades later, and even knowing it’s probably just the big sprites, I feel the same. It’s just too good.

When it comes to 5th gen console fighting games, I think The Saturn probably wins overall, if you count all of the Japanese exclusive stuff, and I do love the AM2 fighters.
But the PS1 is a really good contender and has a large volume of 2D and 3D fighters.
I guess the original Smash is the best fighting game on the N64 overall... or at least the most popular one. The console is mostly remembered for the WWF/ WCW wrestling games, as the majority of the 1v1 fighting games are a strange collection of misfit fighters.
I always liked the N64 though, but the fighting game genre is rough.. (as well as many other genres for that matter). MiSTER N64 FPGA compatibility looks great though. That's a plus.
This stream has been great for low bitrate voice samples. War Gods and the busted low-pitch audio of the X68000 version of Strider in particular.

objectively good thing about war gods: the scarlett bordeaux looking lady has a fatality where she turns the opponent into stone with a giant medusa head that shoots eye lasers
the big stone guy has a unique reaction to it where he mockingly goes 'nyeh nyeh' and then yells 'OH NO' when the lasers come out
You gotta check out Fighters Destiny 2. Dennis Rodman vs a clown. Score points with piledrivers.

The N64 might as well be the "Pilotwings 64, locked to Birdman-mode"-machine for me. And it would be fine as such.
It shows a real lack of confidence to continue making games after that, but far be it from me to backseat-CEO Nintendo of the mid-to-late 90's.
I am the exact same with drinking.. Whats the fucking point in drinking 2 beers and feel a little typsy, I would want more of that feeling. The pandemic happened and i stopped drinking entirely

I don't know if it's still the case, but when I looked in to MST3K, a decade plus ago, there were episodes still missing as some people just didn't circulate the tapes, or even tape them to begin with. It might be worth checking they're already recorded and distributed. To be honest though, it's incredibly unlikely and also probably not even an issue today, I could also just be flat out wrong.
I traded my copy of War Gods towards MK Mythologies Sub Zero. That’s the shame I carry with me. Dammit I was an idiot. I blame EGM though. I’m pretty sure they told me both those games were good. That’s what I get for trusting the fake gaming news media.

If you've got the storage space, I'd absolutely recommend captuuring those MST3K tapes. Hell, I wouldn't even throw out the tapes, I don't trust anything to remain available online with how little trustworthiness major platforms and copyright holders have displayed. Before watching this I was just thinking about how I'd like to have an actual stereo system and start collecting physical CDs again.
I actually really liked War Gods as a kid. I think it has a cool atmosphere and music.
