100% this!! Been here 5 months 43 year old 6’2 190lbs athletic attractive and boy these woman are such players specially the ones i met on pina love. They juggling like 2-4 bfs. Now they expect us to spoil them like these lonely ldr simps. Had a girl ask me on first date why i didnt bring her a gift. Had another mad cuz i took her to a 39 peso coffee house instead of starbucks . The true test is act poor first date take them to a 39 peso joint or out to eat jollibees. And keep doing this. I had so many give up. At first we have so much in common or i am simple woman. But once you treat them simple after a few dates they will stop talking to you. Haha
That happens because Filipinas have adjusted their expectations! There's a flood of foreigners after the pandemic. The country has been hyped and westerners show up with their wallets wide open. Filipinas know that their inflated value and are taking advantage of it. There are plenty of Americans, Europeans and Koreans who compete for the same women. They're going for highest bidder.

I picked up my Filipina in my country (Canada) I strongly recommend guys to do the same! It's best to know them face to face. Plus, the ones all ready in your country are likely working and have money and won't chase you for yours. I'm in my forth year of marriage and it's the most amazing relationship I ever had. Those, are the ones you want.
Excellent information, Steve. Before anyone who wants to be an expat in the Philippines they need to take a discovery trip first, preferably 2-3 months and see if they're comfortable with the people and culture, then decide if their lifestyle is a fit. You mentioned some of the pitfalls and dangers to look out for, such as women who will scam you for money, I would like to add some things that expats may find difficult to handle: hot/humid weather, rainy/typhoon season, traffic, inferior healthcare, slow pace/lack of urgency, bureaucracy, bad infrastructure, to name a few. Coming from the West the Philippines could be a culture shock for a lot of people. They need to take caution and don't become jaded by the vloggers who paint the Philippines as a paradise. Although it is a beautiful country with its tropical beaches there's a lot of danger lurking ahead. So take a discovery trip first then decide with caution.
Hi Steve, your information is invaluable, and we appreciate it . The philippines is a very fluid economy, and things are constantly changing with all aspects of the environment. Constant updates to information keep us apprised of these changes and helps keep us from falling into the pitfalls that we can come across. Women are basically the same everywhere as that they are looking for security and love just as we are looking to be cared for properly and loved by women who need us . As far as family you need to have that conversation early in the relationship and let them know where you stand on that issue. The more mature women who aren't under their parents thumb tend to be more understanding and have a bigger voice than a younger girl. Distance away from the family is a blessing as it reduces the do drop in chances, and with the advent of messenger, they can easily keep in touch no matter where they are at .if you feel that you are being taken advantage of, then indicate that you may need to move on which renting makes it easy to do . Keeping money overseas is a good idea for emergencies and if you need to go back home.
What’s good about your videos Steve is that what you’re saying is Very True!!! Good advice GUY !! Anyone coming to the Philippines should watch your videos before coming!!! Thanks for the information!!! Good Job 👏
Thanks Steve coming over from Australia 🇦🇺 in February not going back. I've watched every negative video on the Philippines, I don't drink, smoke or take drugs, I'm 61 just got my black belt in BJJ, I've been sick twice in 38 years. I'm currently learning Tagalog and I speak some Spanish. Only problem is I don't know where to live so much choice. Going to start a business over there my brother has had his own business and is helping me. First thing I want to find a lawyer.
my suggestion like me is do a dry run for a month or 2 and see if you can handle the culture. and then go back home and prepare is the key and then plan a longer trip in the Philippine. do a dry run first.
Thanks for mentioning Belize. It's so difficult to find information on them. It's attractive because it's English speaking, close and a 2:1 living ratio to the USD. I've heard the crime is typically away from the coastal areas. That's about all I know. Will have to investigate myself one day.
It would be interesting to hear what you have seen, heard, been told about the cultural differences on the different islands, especially as it relates to the thought processes and behavior of women.
Wow very good summary of things to be aware of here in the Philippines. Granted I've only been relocated to the Philippines for 3 months, but I think I've found Paradise. But I can see that it really depends where you choose to live and who you choose to live with. And I admit I got lucky because there are tons of landmines that you mentioned.
Yes, in the beginning the majority of the vloggers were and like used car salesmen. Once the real truth started coming out, more and more started to join in, in order to get more views. Steve, you are helping many gullible and desperate people.
You're so right Steve and a lot of people should listen closely to what you're saying. I love where I live here in the Philippines (City of San Fernando, Pampanga) but it's not a paradise, and sometimes I still miss the life I had back in Vancouver BC. The issue as with a lot of others who moved here is the difference in the cost of living. Mind you when it's cool and Rainy in Vancouver and the rest of Canada is frozen it's a bit like a paradise as I relax by or in our pools. 😄
Hi! I had been here 75% of the time in te phillipines for the past 6 years. Got held in the US for 10 monhs for personal reasons . Just got back to my "paradise " one month ago and the changes in attitudes towards foriengners, and increased prices of things here is amazing here in northern mindanao . The language barrier has become more of a problem for me. The people in my city seem to resist English and kling more to there native language. @@EasternDreamer615 Inflation is running very high in the Phillies now. Food prices are rising sharply. Last year you were able to rent a decent condo in Cebu for around 23k pesos per month, this year the same place rents for 32k...That's a 40% increase in just one year. Many parts of the Philippines are seeing a flood of foreigners show up, driving up the cost of housing and other things.
@@garyzies3486 Thank you for letting me know! I tested what you said and checked on the Griffin Hotel in Cebu. I stayed there in January 2020 for around $25/night. That same hotel rents at $34/night these days and we're not even in high season. It seems like an island chain that imports oil would be especially susceptible to oil prices. Oil prices have increased substantially in the last couple of years and I'm sure that that is pushing up the prices of everything. When I am in restaurants or I’m trying to see landmarks the people will knock down five Filipino’s to get to me to beg money. That's a good point. Being hustled by the locals seems to be getting worse from what I hear. Haven't been there yet but it's a real concern for me. I don't want to be hustled non-stop. It's crazy to hear church congregation coming after you. They know better than that but apparently no shame.
Hi Steve!!! I hope you’re doing OK.😊I finally arrived here in the Philippines 31st of Aug. Stayed in the Zambales area for a week first then to Angeles City. The country has changed a lot, more people and of course more cars-newer and expensive cars on the road!!😮Ya, I think things are getting a lot better for the ordinary people-more jobs and good paying jobs. As well. I am very happy for some of them but with feelings of negatives along with it like overpopulation, pollution, clogged main roads due to like I said, more cars, and others. Some good and some bad happening. I found a small apartment here outside Angeles city called Pandan. Very cheap, one bedroom and only $65 a month-unfurnished. Well what do you expect right?-for $65. I was here before Covid and I bought a few things for the kitchen and the most important for me was an air conditioner. I left it here with my cousin and I started using it as soon as I moved in. I was really happy that I didn’t get rid of it before; the weather is just too hot for me. That’s OK I’m not staying here very long anyway I only have until the end of November and I’m going back to the states. But before that I would like to see everyone here in the Philippines- my friends and relatives. Wow did I said too much? Anyway maybe I’ll stop bye and say hello to you as well. Don’t worry I’ll call or text you first like you said ha ha ha!! Looks like you’re doing OK except your back so take it easy and be happy!! Your friend here online, Jean.

Looking forward to meeting you and your crew, and being on my best behavior. Patience is the key. And letting that baggage go!
Letting things go was the hardest; much more harder than my family expected; flying to P.I in less than 3 weeks. Downgraded a 5 bedroom home to a 5 x 10 storage; all the best!

Hey Steve. Truth is, a lot of guys getting with young, broke women do so not so much to save them, but rather, because such women are desperate, and will tolerate a huge age gap. Or that the guy is out of shape, or otherwise not too appealing. Finding someone close to your own age, and with a profession of her own is probably the best way to go if you're ooking for a stable and workable relationship. Otherwise, enjoy the ride. That is until the other shoe drops....as drop it certainly will!
Here's a story for your listeners. The guy that washes my truck has a good garage business..Him and his wife had a life plan in high school. Their plan was for her to marry a foreigner, which she did. Her husband built her a house near ours. He was from Sweden. She even moved there for a while. Mean while her boyfriend got a job oversees driving a truck and learning how to work on them. Well, she got divorced from her husband and got some money from it. And he came home they got married got a nice household and money in bank. That was a great business plan well thought out. And there are lots of stories like that here.. Guys, fall for all time here.
There is no divorce in the Philippines. So I am assuming he brought her to Sweden on a fiance visa. Lesson we learned for him. Don’t let them set foot on the place you left in order to get them in the first place. A lot of this can be mitigated by marrying them in the Philippines with a simple prenup. Philippines law is extremely friendly to men who just have a conversation with an attorney there.
@JamesDeanCrypto that is correct they got divorced in his country. He got the shaft she got the house with all the furniture as it was never his to begin with.
They do it because it works! Many of them have several westerners who are eagerly making money transfers. Most of these girls have several LDR's as their income source.

There are three types of girls in the Philippines, Visayan, Kapampangan and girls in Manila, there are three types of girls who are looked at by the locals in a certain way, Moreno, Chinito and Mestizo, this is what separates girls in the Philippines, and knowing what type you will date or search for is important, knowing the culture is what helps in how you get along and what will make or break you in a relationship, a girl from Samar or Pampanga or cebuana, are completely different in almost every way, same as a girl from Mindanao, when you are talking about a girl is only after your money, or another is great at cooking and looking after you or another just wants to party, these factors go with where she is from, and I can tell you if you ask a local guy or girl here, they will tell you exactly what a girl is like depending on where she is from, this is super important and Vloggers like this channel and a hundred others, get this wrong and dont understand this factor in dating Filipina
wait until the law make divorce legal in the philippines and it becomes similar to the western countries ... then a lot of expats will know if their really love them or iy was all for the money ... money is needed in society and sex is just pleasure for both men and women but for the most part that is not enough for a relationship ... a relationship without love is just a business contract ... providing 100% financial security and not showing her how to manage money foes more harm than good for the woman ... love is more than just sex and money ... and when the provider die and the woman don't know how to provide for herself and manage her money then she will be back how she started ... you can leave her money to survive when you are dead but if she don't know how to manage the money then she will be broke in less than 10 years ... woman spend money like there is no tomorrow and their custom is to provide for their family then she will lose everything you left her ... even if you leave her 1 million dollar ... she will be broke in less than 10 years ... plus most expats don't have that much money anyway ... teach her how to fish ... don't just provide fish so she may eat after you are gone

The (Change) your referring to is a sum of this. Feminism, Money, age gap changes for younger, an changes inside the family law code inthe Phils. Nuch has changed. For the worst part is the foreign guys have literally dumped so much cash in the phils. NOW since 2014 the filipina expects the money game. Phils is seriously changing. Everything your saying is VERY right.
Yes...they know their inflated value now. Foreigners are coming in droves with their wallets wide open. Filipinas have adjusted their expectations accordingly! Social media has forever altered their way of thinking and the new family code has many nasty surprises waiting for foreigners who decide to live in the Phillies.
i love how filipinos are sooo worried about saving face even when caught redhanded but these same folks have no interest in allowing a foreigner to save face. the lack of shame or embarrassment is a bigturn off ....but like has been said in the past if you set reasonable expectations early, be consistent ,and learn to say NO ,your life will be better ...for all the negatives there i still love it better than here in the usa. also i have seen and heard many stories about guys getting ripped off by the people closest to them..trust to a point In money matters ..family will Fk you over hardest
Haven’t seen any guys go with middle class women. It’s a social liability for them to date a foreigner unless maybe if they’re abroad. In the society they don’t cross class lines even if they come into money and/or education. You wont see a middle class man marry his maid or any maid or a male waiter marry a middle class woman. Most guys even good looking youngish professionals with bucks will be dateless if they go for middle class. Perhaps if you are involved in a church or civic group you might find middle class women there at. I can see people bonding with compatible values.
I am one of those mid 30s working professionals. I only go for working class professionals who have their career in order. I never sent a dime to anyone.
Basically women or men no matter where you go to visit or live is no different than what you are running from. Yes Asians in general are more polite caring etc but many are in the same boat as the west kids, debt, no job etc so choose wisely
There is a strange phenom, a kind of man who insists on finding the youngest woman possible. Sometimes i think its a middle-aged psychological thing going on, some 'restarting life' I don't know but it's a disaster waiting to happen most of the time. follow the time-tested maximum age-difference formula: half your age plus 7. that's the limit. a lot of good men died so you could have that formula so use it and use it well.
Hi Steve I was hoping to find about how to use the Philippines banking or which Philippine bank to open an account from NFCU. I'm a retired Navy still and in the US hoping to be in the Philippines soon. Thanks.
It can be very challenging for an American to open a a savings/checking account in the Philippines, because the US has financial reporting requirements that many Filipino banks will avoid. I've known many expats who've gotten their accounts closed because of this.
Great advice, have be extremely careful with the women. Healthcare is a problem make sure have a good bolstered insurance and have at least 5000 dollars cash fund ready incase something happens. Philippines is a beautiful place - you can relax but you have to keep your guard.
I am going to try to get my wife from Bohol to Europe, I don't like Philippines. Only good I see in the Philippines that people are mostly kind and happy, and some beaches are so beautiful, so that's all positive I can say about Philippines, sorry.
Right ! I stayed there and I studied the life and I know its very hard to stay there. They have very less good things to worth it. Maybe only with a good woman from your country you'll feel fine ...
Have woman in the United States face the same age issues the Filipina women face. If you are a woman over the age of 35 in the Philippines good luck finding a job it may take you up to a year. So of course they jump on exspat for security. Woman in the states don't have to sacrifice their dignity and give their bodys for putting food on their table and a roof over their head. I've had my share of 18,19,20,and 21 year olds over the last 20 years. All were great but all were the same. No man at the age of 50, 60,70 or older has anything in common with these girls except a trade security for sex. Ive found that rent is very reasonable but owning your own condo or house is better. No rent less hassle. Have had 4 American exspat friends in 2 years. All went back to the united states for different reasons. Where i live on Samal Island in Garden City i have seen very little of any exspats. Good video Steve.

Those vloggers are selling illusions and are making big bucks on YT. Making money in the Phillies is nearly impossible for most foreigners, unless you go on YT and tell people what they wanna hear.
Philippine expat vloggers selling this lie are cynically capitalizing on a perfect storm. Number one, you have impoverished Philippine women, desperate to feed and support themselves and their families. Number two, you have Western men eager to get with a beautiful, young women. The kind they could never dream of getting back home. And number three, you have the vloggers themselves, with the savvy to see the profit to themselves in getting these men and women together, unscrupulous enough at that to lie about the costs involved, and finally, to gloss over the tragedy of young women having to engage in the sham of being with men old enough to be their GRANDFATHER'S, because they are desperate, and have few other options. Very sad.
@@davetherave4599 Look at the bright side! Many of these girls will wind up in the West. Once in the US, they'll have plenty of options! They don't have to bow to grandpa for longer than about 5 years. In our Filipino church group, 8 out of 10 girls have divorced their husbands not long after receiving their green card. On top of that, they'll take a good chunk of grandpa's lifetime savings and assets. The girls that don't get divorced are the ones who have already lost their street value. So, in the end....grandpas as well as Filipinas are opportunistic. They all pay a price to get what they want.

I have just joined your platform, I am 11 years living in the Philippines, is your channel for Americans only, I am from Australia, and I live a very comfortable life here, but you must talk pesos not dollars, the exchange rate makes a huge difference,, you seem to always talk for American guys, where do you live, is it Dumaguette, like nearly every expat, besides, Angeles or Subic Zambakes and Cebu City, outside these expat communities is the real Philippines, I dont know you so I cant judge you, but if you are going to have a UA-cam channel, you want to educate guys on what the Philippines is like depending on your choice of location, and visiting here and living her are competely different experience, and being a retired military guy who was stationed in Subic or Clark doesnt mean anything

I have been here for over 5 yrs and you will see a lot of poverty here. You may need to find a working professional if you can't handle that. Just a heads up.
An open relationship where all partners are not aware of all other partners is NOT an open relationship. It is deception. A true open relationship is where all partners are aware of and approve of all other partners in that relationship.

Haha
Sounds like women not hot for you from the bey. Don’t wast your time. Put them on ice right away

Flying there Today! LA to Davao to General Santos
Thanks for sharing!
The truth needs to be told. The bad is never on UA-cam.

It seems like an island chain that imports oil would be especially susceptible to oil prices. Oil prices have increased substantially in the last couple of years and I'm sure that that is pushing up the prices of everything.
I hope that their pro-development attitude allows for quick building of new condos in the expat hotspots.
@@EasternDreamer615 Building costs have certainly gone up along with everything else. However, the real estate market is all about supply and demand. Demand is huge because of the influx of retiring foreigners and there are plenty of developers and landlords who will take advantage of it.

Hey Steve. Truth is, a lot of guys getting with young, broke women do so not so much to save them, but rather, because such women are desperate, and will tolerate a huge age gap.

I explained this already if you watched my videos before.....🤷🏻♂️

wait until the law make divorce legal in the philippines and it becomes similar to the western countries ... then a lot of expats will know if their really love them or iy was all for the money ... money is needed in society and sex is just pleasure for both men and women but for the most part that is not enough for a relationship ... a relationship without love is just a business contract ... providing 100% financial security and not showing her how to manage money foes more harm than good for the woman ... love is more than just sex and money ... and when the provider die and the woman don't know how to provide for herself and manage her money then she will be back how she started ... you can leave her money to survive when you are dead but if she don't know how to manage the money then she will be broke in less than 10 years ... woman spend money like there is no tomorrow and their custom is to provide for their family then she will lose everything you left her ... even if you leave her 1 million dollar ... she will be broke in less than 10 years ... plus most expats don't have that much money anyway ... teach her how to fish ... don't just provide fish so she may eat after you are gone

Social media destroys the humanity.

Dont yell at Filipinos even if you think you are right. You dont know what they are capable of behind your back if you lose their face.
i love how filipinos are sooo worried about saving face even when caught redhanded but these same folks have no interest in allowing a foreigner to save face. the lack of shame or embarrassment is a bigturn off ....but like has been said in the past if you set reasonable expectations early, be consistent ,and learn to say NO ,your life will be better ...for all the negatives there i still love it better than here in the usa. also i have seen and heard many stories about guys getting ripped off by the people closest to them..trust to a point In money matters ..family will Fk you over hardest

Bingo!
There are plenty of lonely professionals in the Philippines. The family is usually the problem, not the women.
Good (haha ) cuz that's my direction.
Bingo
I am one of those mid 30s working professionals. I only go for working class professionals who have their career in order. I never sent a dime to anyone.

Very sad.
Well said
@@davetherave4599 Look at the bright side!

If your wife or partners family is poor consider helping the family especially if your partner is not working because they are not helping their family. I have been here for over 5 yrs and you will see a lot of poverty here. You may need to find a working professional if you can't handle that. Just a heads up.
An open relationship where all partners are not aware of all other partners is NOT an open relationship. It is deception.
A true open relationship is where all partners are aware of and approve of all other partners in that relationship.
yes, you must lower the expectations keep things simple spending dating learning their culture everything because my experience there I love it but let me tell you the wrong girl can be a nightmare! if you get the wrong girl that grease can be really hot in the Philippines
Paradise can turn into a nightmare really quick!
1:58 they are...😅❤
You cant live here on little money, its a recipe for disaster, I live on 80 to 100k a month and that gives me a good life, and a comfortable one, you are right about not showing your money, dont trust anyone, there are heaps of scammers and there are heaps of people looking for ways of getting money from you, I dont hangout with a lot of expats, in my 11 years here I have chosen to have 5 friends, I live in Palawan now and I did live in Angeles City and Subic Zanmbales, too many expats here who are miserable and complain too much, go back home if you dont like it here, a no brainer right ? I gave myself 12 months and there has not been one day I regretted coming here
just say no or keep walking
How will they burn you with knowledge of how much you told them you have? I'm hoping to hear back from you. I am in a really messed up situation.
You should NEVER tell them how much you have!

No place is a paradise every place has an underbelly & issues but most problems are created or exasperated by ourselves.
were a wedding ring untill find the good one
Even in paradise, you find a snake. There is no perfect place. Just be careful where you tread.
WANG DANG SWEET POONTANG 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
This
they know your hotel and where you like to go and eat. they will wait on you and burn your phone up trying to find you..
How much $$$ would be acceptable to give a woman per month? If it goes over $100 a month it's too much??? If you're living with her and break up how did you get rid of her? When the lease ends. Move to another island? :) My info is I'm a poor guy from Cleveland. The girls in the south like North Carolina shouldn't be compared to a valley girl in LA or a girl from Montana.
Why should you give any money at all? Know your boundaries
A breakup can often turn out very nasty there! Moving to a different island is often your best option. Make sure you cut all your social media contacts before you do!
Thank you my brother
Women give you issues worldwide.
Sounds to me like it’s time for you to move mate, there’s thousands of other places away from Trece Martires -just stating the obvious - see some new faces and friends. People go stir crazy in a small community. It looks like you’re surrounded by a brick wall?
the more money you give them and try to leave them they get nasty man and its time to go but let me tell you they will follow you and not let go easy.
Why not tell about the filipinos customs? 😂 mosr not use toilet papers, most eat with their hands
Yes, I stayed in PH for 2 months and I felt I need to yell and scream to people many times, because their stupidity, very low manner, not paying attention or their malice !
Its tough to live there if you are civilized, serious and if you respect the rules !.... because they don't !!
