Thrilled to see you doing another Queen Montreal Commentary video. You're so sweet and really show appreciation for Freddie (and for Queen). I like the commentary because we learn the 'what's happening" even if we would never have noticed it. Why did a note go south or why did Freddie not sing a line or why did he change tone. They knew. Brian and Roger and John were ready to follow any change Freddie made. Done so smoothly that the audience wouldn't notice or if they did notice they wouldn't care. After all, it's Queen!
Love these commentaries. It’s great to hear the respect & sometimes awe they had for Freddie. I think it was Roger who once said we didn’t realize how great Freddie was until he was gone. A once in a millennium talent. The 4 of them coming together was lightening in a bottle.
Oh my, Hap... I bless you everyday I see a queen reaction from you. :) Your continuing journey is good for the soul. Freddie and Queen.....there’s just nothing like them. ❤
Despite interesting comments and information coming from our beloved duo, I always find it very hard to concentrate on anything else when Freddie is singing in the background ☺️ Not only you won't hear such voice in today's talent shows, but that specific vocal color, power and sensitivity probably won't appear in people's lives for a long, long time. Such talent is like a comet, a rare force of nature.
Freddie IS king of the emotional tug of the heart strings. I have always wondered if when he was recording his vocals in the studio, whether he was alone with only the sound engineer and producer in the booth or if all the band was there. Might just be my imagination, but I think it'd be easier to pour your heart out if you were there alone.
I loved this! Thank you! I always look at Freddie's eyes when he's singing. I could see the emotion in his eyes. What a legend! Found this: Queen co-founder and guitarist Brian May has been knighted. As one of the first to receive the honor under the recently crowned King Charles, as part of the 2023 edition of the King's New Year Honours List, he is now Sir Brian Harold May. He was knighted “for services to music and charity work.”
I love watching your reactions on queen ... I'm like you I get teary eyed everytime, it's the love for real music ... thankyou for the reactions mate keep going my friend ✌️🤘
❤🥳🎸🎶 Yea baby!!! The absolute 🔥 best. The song coupled with the commentary is just fantastic! And then if that wasn't enough, a phenomenal reaction by you Hap. The #1 King 👑 of Queen reactions. Thanks for continuing the journey. Peace J ✌ ☮ 💕🦂
You can really hear the power & control Freddie has in his voice. He never let his audience down. Neither did John, Brian or Roger.❤️ Love your reactions to Queen particularly. The music stirs your soul HAP.🔥Outstanding reaction 🥰
Freddie is in excellent shape in this concert, he nails all the bb4 high notes studio notes in the first verse and in the second verse in full chest voice, that "born at all" bb4 is just so much better than the studio, it's longer and it has more power and depth and not to mention the emotion that Freddie convoys.
I love your reactions to Queen and Freddie! I know you’ve done a lot and I’ve watched a lot of them but I’m always so pleased when I see you do more!!!
Just a WOW 💥🎶🎹 I remember like it was yesterday your very first reaction to this song and how it came about 😉. There's just something magical about it and I love this performance in Montreal. Yes, X-Factor... I can respect their decision because they had to find a way to move on. They love what they do and couldn't imagine life without being on stage and performing their songs. In the end they keep the songs alive and maybe pass them on to a new generation. I can tell you weren't alone tearing up💕. Thanks for this treat 🥰🙋🏻♀️.
Freddie was always amazing! I absolutely love the commentary by Brian and Roger really thrill me😊! Thanks Hap great reaction as always! Love from across the pond, Dee
I absolutely Love Freddie.... I am new to your channel, and what originally got me to look was your review of Mackelmore's Downtown.... I would LOVE to see you review his song Thrift Shop... same two guys Mackelmore and Ryan.... PLEASEEEE LOL
One of the very best concerts I ever saw was in 1977, Landover Maryland. The Eagles, Hotel California... One of the most iconic guitar moments EVER. If you look at the audience, count 23 rows back, in the center you will see my lighter! LOL. Seriously, I am an old hippie who attended the Original Woodstock!! Yes, I was there. I'll try to attach the link in this post. I am a new subscriber and I am here for the long haul. Good luck young man, keep it up, you're doing well.
Always a pleasure to hear QUEEN. ESPECIALLY the commentaries. Love the reminiscing. Thank you Hap, for this special unexpected treat! Loved your unique warm, emotional reaction!! 💜🎵👑
HEY HAP.... I love these Montreal commentaries!! (They always make me wish that Roger & Brian would do the same kind of commentary for some of the other concerts... Wouldn't that be NEAT!)
Everyone misses Freddie but I can't imagine their loss when he passed away. It's comforting but sad to hear them talking about Freddie and mentioning John Deacon. I'm so grateful for the quality of all of their videos, even early on they recorded on high quality film, from multiple angles and perfectly preserved these performances so their music will live on forever 🌟
Technically it was American Idol but point made 😉 Love these. I think because the songs are quieter in the background I can separate. I wish Brian/Roger talked more through these but what they do say is interesting. As a Brit. What comes first? Dr or Sir? Do you use one over the other? Do you use both? Sir Dr Brian Harold May? (that is a mouthful!)
Thank you Hap ! Excellent as always. Just reading your face, I teared up with you. - There is something I wanted to tell you: I get a lot of hate for the 2 leftovers, as they were called on Friday. Brian's and Roger's songs get ignored, they are called selfish and traitors. - How can I call myself a fan if I don't accept the decisions of these two? - Go ahead and erase my comment if you find it suitable. Just wanted to let you know. ☮Peace out ❣
Love this Hap … feeling all emotional. I still think Brian was jealous of Freddie … and Roger and John loved Freddie and probably still miss their buddy 💛 also … They are Grampas Now !!!
Thank you, Hap, for reacting to this commentary. There is another great commentary on the DVD Live at the Hammersmith Odeon '75 that is fascinating, as well. I recently saw an interview of Brian at a New York radio broadcast where the interviewer was asking Brian about his Knighthood. He indicated he was most proud of his doctorate because it was such hard work. So, I now refer to him as Dr. Sir Brian May CBE. I recently got Brian's CDs Back to the Light and Another World. The track Another World is my new favorite song. I would love to get your reaction to that. There is a video of it that Brian made not all that long ago. ua-cam.com/video/rJI_CkHJ9Z0/v-deo.html Cheers!
Im gonna TRY to keep and open mind here, but I'm already unhappy about Brian using AI to dub Freddie's "fake" voice over his. They are making more money in his name than he did! I dont like it. I dont need them to tell me anything.
Freddie was a genius... a messenger of the gods (Mercury) 😉.

R.I P. Freddie Mercury.

I love Queen and Freddie was amazing!! It still makes me sad to know he is gone🥲. Love him ❤️ Thanks Hap 👏🏻 this was wonderful with the commentaries .
The commentary is nice to hear. Thanks Hap
Freddie's brilliance...never gets old ❤. Yes, that piano run is amazing. He was apparently always glad to get it over with. Thanks, Hap. Needed that.

Haven't told Hap yet but they do reactions to some of their videos. Figured I'd let him finish this concert first 😄
@@nanner3200 yes, be strategic 😊🙋🏻♀️
@@nanner3200 Is that a fact? I didn't know that?!

yeah, it was American Idol but I did love that "you don't see this on x-factor" comment.
FIRE THANKS HAP HOPE YOU NEW YEAR IS GOING WELL ❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was a decision that only the three could make. I liked all four members, and I still do.
