I can't help but cry while watching again this concert. Freddie has a unique talent. He is a person that despite any situation still sees beauty and positivity. He's a man of courage and braveness. I love Freddie and the band (original)! Hope you can also react to Somebody to love - live concert . Love of my Life and Take my Breath away. There are so many QUEEN song that for sure you will never be disaapointed. Thank you for your great reaction and God Bless!
I haven't read all the comments - but Freddie is mentioned - not Brian who wrote the song - melody and lyrics - så heartbreaking - and Freddies rendition is so good because it also speaks volumes to him.
This song always makes me cry. I know it was written for the movie, but knowing now that Freddie would be gone in a few short years makes it seem it was written about him, just sad.
I am so glad I walked this earth at the same time as Freddie. So exciting when Queen put out new music. I've never seen someone react to Queen without a smile or tear.
This song live is unbelievable, I was lucky to get to see them live at St James Park in Newcastle in UK in 1986. Never forget Freddie he was all I could watch his stage presence amazing
His LAST time on stage. Nobody else knew yet, but he knew he was sick. It wasnt confirmed till 87 when he was full blown, but he hadnt told the guys yet. Brian said in an interview that Freddie got off the stage and said, I cant f***ing do this anymore. He thought Freddie was just being Freddie. Little did he know. Documentaries are awesome too!
I was at this concert sitting in the director’s box basically the same concrete seats painted a different colour!). I was with John’s mother and his sister (my wife). We had our two young children with us, but they don’t remember too much of the concert. I can hear how his voice sounds near the end of a punishing tour, but I honestly don’t remember it at the concert. The overall sound was so powerful you can’t really appreciate it on video.
Please sir send our best to John and let him know he is always in our thoughts and hearts when we watch any of these videos or listen to any of Queens songs.
@Richard Laurence, thank you for sharing that ☺️. @Nanner, yes that would be fantastic, not to disturbing him, but just to let John know how much he is missed and that he is not forgotten ☺️🙋🏻♀️.
The expression on your face is priceless and shows the honest emotion and love for Freddie and the band....Thank you for this wonderful reaction -Love, Peace and Joy ☮
I read a comment once from a man who was at this concert (lucky guy :-) when he said that the audience was so quiet during this performance, there was such silence you could hear a coin dropping on the ground - Everybody just stood there, listening like hypnotised. And so many years after it has the same effect. What else can you do? And, Hap, it's OK to cry. The moment when Freddie sings "But touch my tears with your lips,Touch my world with your fingertips" gives me goosebumps and chills every single time, no matter how many times I already saw and heard this performance. It's like he activated every cell of his body, emotions and voice, even all his physical strength into that part (and the whole song). But that is why he was Freddie Mercury - the Raw Power, once-in-a-century unique voice combined with three other equally talented men. For me, and it is just my opinion, no matter how beautifully and accurately someone else can sing this song and reach all high notes (respect to them for even trying), this Masterpiece belongs to Brian who wrote it and Freddie who brought it to life with his voice and sensitivity and it will stay so for generations to come. Thank you for this long-waited reaction :-), it paid off ! But more importantly, you have experienced this historical moment with us, that was and is the goal on your channel - Sharing love for music. One more musical point in time, hopefully, engraved in your memory. As it is in all Queen fans, myself included.
I was at this concert on the Saturday. Yes the crowd went quiet but it wasn't a pin drop moment. The Friday performance of this song is much better IMO, after seeing it on UA-cam. I think FM's voice on the Saturday had a few glitches because of the effort he put into singing on the Friday. Although I am glad I didn't go on the Friday because it was pouring down. Still got my ticket for the concert somewhere 😅
Great reaction! Beautiful and emotional performance by Freddie! I also like the way he defends the band at the beginning. It's a little sad though because he says they'll stay together until they die and that's just what happened. Great bass playing by Deacon too.
from start to finish of this song i get chills. You listen to the lyrics and knowing what was coming in his life, makes it even harder to listen to, but it's a beautiful song.
Oh my HAP. I absolutely loved your reaction. You brought tears to my eyes because you were reacting to FREDDIE'S voice. This version is my absolute favorite. This song is one of my absolute favorites also in a long line of absolute favorites from QUEEN. Thank you so much for going back and doing QUEEN videos I've missed them. Take care and have a good evening. Your girl, QUEEN BEE 🐝🐝🐝🐝
In my opinion the performance of this from the first night is alot better, but this is still amazing. I much prefer this song live over the studio version. It has more of an epic feel. ❤
Listened to this live version countless time, Freddies voice was beautiful and kills it. If you don't feel anything listening to this you're already dead. Thanks Hap!
I agree about Budapest. Always appreciate your reactions, especially to Queen. (It's worth watching the 1986 Wembley concert from start to finish - I think it's divided into 6 or so parts - to really get the experience of the energy building and building throughout the concert. I'm sure you'd have a lot of people watching with you. Someone out there will tell you which night is better.)
When Freddie was alive and in his prime we thought that he would be here on earth for a long time. Everytime I hear this song, I just makes me a appreciate the time he was here..
I read somewhere Roger said he still can’t believe how much noise they could make with just the four of them brilliant reaction such a beautiful song ❤️ you don’t have to apologise for getting teary it happens to us all 🤗❤️
Quiero ver nuevas reacciones tuyas me gusta compartir tus lágrimas por Freddie 😢 . Te queremos Freddie 🎉😢❤ 👑 nuestra reina único inigualable no habrá otro Freddie 😢🎉❤
This song is amazing and I love Wembley as much as Budapest, but in Budapest there's a moment when he's singing and he stands on his tiptoes and I always think he's about to fly away.
It's amazing that a song written for a movie has come to symbolize so much more in people's lives and has stayed so relevant. By the way, I love (want?) your t-shirt!
Love your reaction, thanks Hap! I appreciate the willingness to express your feelings. The honesty and expression is what puts your reactions above the rest. I'm going to have to go back and watch the other one because my memory sucks and I don't remember how it compares to this one.
I started watching your channel because you are real , and really feel the music and we can learn things from you! Queen is by far my favorite artist. I’m glad you get into it!
HAP3SPEAKZ this may be my favorite Reaction of yours to Queen. This song and especially this performance hits me right in the soul. Seeing it hit you in the in a very similar way very heartwarming thanks. Absolutely loved it! 😀👍❤️✌️🌼
The song was pretty powerful, thankfully the concert picked up the mood by following up the song with a very upbeat awesome rendition of " I want to break free"
A personal favorite also, so grateful to be blessed to see this as much as we want now thanks to the privilege of film. Freddie's minor voice imperfections only add to this special iconic performance. Loved your real, touching reaction, Hap! 💜🎵💜🎵
The first time I ever heard of Queen was in the movie Highlander. I thought their music was incredible then and I was only 11 years old at the time, and Who Wants To Live Forever brought me to tears. I'm forty now, and their music still has the power to move me in ways that other artists can't. Rest in Peace Freddie Mercury! You are loved and missed by your legions of fans all over the world. Love Queen!!!!!!
I loved your reaction to this performance. To me, it was the best. I am planning my memorial service, so my loved ones don't have to be burdened with it.
The first time I heard the song was in the movie. Just beautiful. Music, lyrics and performance. My thing is never how perfectly music is performed but is the emotion carried and transmitted to the listeners? It was in this.
Never saw you being moved so much as in here. I can retrace that. Freddie is literally talking and singing bout his own fate. What allways impresses me is the way he´s handling the mic and the pole. That´s something never seen before or after...
Esto es oír un ángel del cielo fn la tierra, gracias Freddie, primero por ser quien fuiste y después por darte por entero a quien supo valorarte , has sido , grande , grande, siempre a tus pies. ❤❤❤
The intensity! I never get tired of seeing this live. (There are videos of four different performances of this song, inc: this one at the Saturday Wembley show; the previous night's Wembley show on Friday; and from their concert at Budapest... There's also the performance from their last-ever concert at Knebworth, the video footage just isn't very great.) My favorite performance is from the Friday Wembley show, partly because his voice was in much better shape. During that whole Friday concert, he's also a lot LESS "politically correct" in some parts... During this "Queen's not going to break up" speech... On Friday he said "I CAN TELL YOU STRAIGHT FROM MY BOWELS, IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!"😆
What else is their to say Bam it's all down in ur comments their will never be another legend like him or Brian ,Roger an John ♾️💯💕🌹👑👑👑👑🙏☮️😘🥰 Happy Merry Christmas Hap 🎄☃️🙏🙏
The power of Freddie Mercury's voice never ceases to amaze me and Queen performances are always on another level. Can't get enough. My favorite performances of this song are Wembley Friday night and Budapest. But, all the performances are outstanding. Thank you for another great reaction. 💙💙💜😊🌞
wonderful reaction! As always - HAP, you're the best in enjoying & sharing music. I love Freddie's speaking voice when he addresses the audience. And when he sings! The emotion he carries is amazing. Those tiny cracks or breaks are often my favorite as it's his little imperfections that make him perfect. A bit sad, his comments, because we know what he didn't know then. What a brilliant talent. What a band. We are blessed.
Thank you HAP for your emotional react, you now I love your face, and I love this song to ofcourse. This is one of my top 3. I cry everytime I hear it, thinking of Freddie, even the song was not about him. Brian had made it for the Highlander-movie. But mg I thinking of everyone I have lost over the year, and that I sitting hear alone, in my age, Im long over the top…..much more close to 91 than 19 🤭 this is one of the most beautiful I ever heard in my life! If I should preferd one of them its had been the nigth before this, that was so powerful, this was powerful too, but he had get a flue or somthing from the nigth before becouse of the bad weather the nigth before….thanks alout HAP 🌹
Oh HAP, I can understand your kind of approach and I get emotional and teary eyed every time I hear this too 🤧😢. Especially the live versions they did and maybe because of Freddies speech before doing this song in Wembley. Perhaps he suspected what was going to be, so he gave the song an extra emotional kind of magic ☺️✨. Thank you for daring to do this and not to be shy to show your emotions. You do this reactions always so carefully and with such respect, priceless 🥰🙋🏻♀️
Oh brother At last, thanks so much Really appreciate all your love & efforts, professionalism & pride Stay well and healthy Love from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦 Barry
Oh thank you Hap- this is a glorious version- also my favorite is Budapest! Your’s too I see! But your face- your expression is heartfelt- you never disappoint Hap!💛
I love this one also and am also torn between this one and Budapest I was the one who recommended Budapest way back when. For some reason I guess it had an edge. Not so sure anymore. Maybe I should just call those two performances a tie. There were an awful lot of concerts during the Magic Tour and the lineup remained the same. Please don’t forget about Love if My Life live at Wembley 1986. It’s NOTHING like the Rock in Rio you saw.
Just want to reach out and grab Freddie & bring him back to us. His comment about 4 aging queens 30 years ago and here we are with Brian & Roger still going strong.
This song doesn’t have that many recorded live performances as it was on a kind of magic album. Freddie’s comments before they start adds a lot of emotion to this performance. Budapest is great too.
Thank you Hap, I love this version. Budapest though, just a fraction better I think. Lovely reaction, wasn't Freddie amazing? I think Freddie's voice was just tired, end of tour, but STILL great.
Freddie's voice, all these powerful and soulful instruments and your heartfelt reaction to them made me have teary eyes again! Such fantastic reaction and im happy to share songs and videos with you in the moments together. Thank you Hap ❤
Great reaction. Wembley was about mid-tour, Budapest actually happened after Wembley, but there were extra rest days before Budapest, I think that’s why his voice was less hoarse. Wembley, this version(Saturday night) for me, he hit extra notes and love the power of delivery on your favourite phrase in this one too. There is a high note near the end that he puts all his might in, many people miss it because of the instrumental 6:52/53 time on your video or just after John’s little twirl👍
I think the Budapest verson is the best, maybe Freddie's voice was better conditional. But Wembley has a special atmosphere. I do not know, I love both :) I like your reaction Hap!
I like Wembley was the best. I just feel all the emotions at Wembley. This and is this the world we created I can feel. I also just believe, that after Live Aid, Wembley held a special spot with Queen. (I also think Freddie knew about the time of Live Aid, that he would not be around much longer.)
This song and John's "One Year of Love" were so appropriate to "The Highlander" about the immortal warriors. Would you please considering reacting to "One Year of Love", although I'm sure you already know the song. If you have already done so, my apologies.
I know you just did this one. It's from Saturday night. I recommend watching the one from Friday night too. Friday night had a slight edge on passionate singing while this had the lovely chat during the intro. I'll go get the link and put it in here. I especially love his ooh yea ooh yea who wants to live for ever (with his spectacular vibrato) .... when love must die. Also note shortly after going up on his toes he sings with the most full sound his body and mouth opening he can do. ua-cam.com/video/MOhuK7aZayw/v-deo.html
"We stay together till we fucking die"
He kept his promise....
Miss you soso much Freddie...RIP Legend

👏👏👏👏eres el mejor cantante de la historia del rock
I like Wembley was the best. I just feel all the emotions at Wembley. This and is this the world we created I can feel.
I also just believe, that after Live Aid, Wembley held a special spot with Queen. (I also think Freddie knew about the time of Live Aid, that he would not be around much longer.)
FYI= I THINK BRIAN MAY WROTE THIS= WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER
Great choice, Zana!!
The chin motion he makes when he says "four aging queens" is an old gesture to indicate a sagging jawline. FYI.
Thanks. No one ever mentions that or knows what it means. Its so cute.
HA! At 61 I am well aware of the gesture and what it means :) Kinda makes me cringe just thinking about it.
Lovely reaction Hapz. Have you reacted to "Mother Love" yet?
This song and John's "One Year of Love" were so appropriate to "The Highlander" about the immortal warriors. Would you please considering reacting to "One Year of Love", although I'm sure you already know the song. If you have already done so, my apologies.
Фредди это Космос, обожаю, композиция 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You should listen to the version in Frejus (France 1986), it is even better than Budapest I think….
