Okay, but imagine an absurd twist of fate where he ends up adopting Luke without knowing they are related (let's say Luke gets a different surname and doesn't end up with Lars family)
Genuinely great idea I wish they listened to more ideas like this rather than recycling ideas (not fantasy folklore others who just recycle the same shit in a different way)

I like how this one went pretty similar to the events of the movies, having drastic changes in these what ifs are of course great, but every once in a while its cool to see one where the changes run parallel to the original for the most part.

What If Vader and Anakin came into balance while serving the Emperor. Together to fix the problems with his armour and respiratory system, as well as start to grow stronger in the force despite the pain, the grief and the self-hatred. Both of them working on the problem, they figured out a plan to use the Emperor's own arrogance and powers against him, all the while seeming the perfect servant.
Vader being the mental shield of Anakin who was doing all the planning.
The plans came to include Luke, once they discovered he existed. Carefully leaked information allowed the rebel alliance to score key victories, gain supplies, weapons and disrupt the Emperor's plans. Vader, with Anakin supporting him within, becomes Fulcrum for the alliance.

The ending was a little disappointing, Galen and Luke implementing aspects of the dark side into their students training will doom the galaxy to even more death and destruction, the dark side is a cancer that infects and corrupts all who use it and should never be used
