This thus far is my favorite interpretation of the sonata. Years ago I heard Segovia perform it at Orchestral Hall in Chicago Il. I couldn't figure out what he was doing for the slow movement. The man next to me thought he was improvising. My teacherm(Richard Pick) told me that Segovia played the slow movement from Sonatina Meridional.
Excellent, it's the first time I hear this and I love it. I'm gonna learn it for sure. But what happenned at 1:19 ? Lol you are a real thug, you don't mess around. Good.
"Humphrey "Millennium" style?" - Comment by 'Young Penny, Answered by the performer with "it was made in that style, but by a different luthier :)". I wish there was the name of the luthier but alas.
Steven Walter, now living in Chicago, makes the Guitar that Ms Eres has used in previous performances. This style is his tribute to a previous Luthier. Steven's own music is outstanding, especially his Chaconne, though he is a reclusive performer. Please find him in youtube music or spotify, but his sound lives on in his guitars that others enjoy
Really lovely, musicality, technique and interpretation all rolled up in one gorgeous package. Long may she reign.
Amazing
