- This is a 4 part mini series on topical conversations in and around the sport of bowling. This will give you an indepth look at the thought process and mentality of Professional Bowlers, League Bowlers, and people that work in the sport of Bowling.
This is part 2 of 4
Ron Please keep this going. This gives great insight deep into the world of bowling. Forget MINI series this needs to be ongoing. Maybe once a month?
Absolutely love the candid conversation....
Great video!! Always impressed with the openness and candid conversation. Growing Bowling is the true answer.
I've been enjoying these conversations. Always interesting to get other people's perspective on the sport of bowling and what's going on in it
These videos are awesome! Hope to see more!
Absolutely love these videos. Awesome to see how real you guys are. Keep it up guys.
I'm really loving these videos, we need more podcasts that feature people in different parts of the bowling industry like this.
That was a great conversation, can't wait for the next one.
Fantastic job with this Ron! I cant wait for the next episode!
Absolutely a great video! Four men having some drinks who contribute to bowling in different ways but are "bowling" I like to call this "the meetings of the minds."
I’d Love to get tips on how to switch balls during League competition and not have catastrophic results
Glad Dustin had that view on the radical video. I thought the same thing when I saw it. The balls are not the same so they won't react the same. Bowling is all about adjusting to get the result you desire. Not just wanting to have the same outcome everytime.
This was really great
Who are the other 3 guys designing bowling balls? I know Victor Marion does, so that leaves two.
Also these videos are awesome guys, I love this type of content.
Hank boomershine for storm line
I’m with the other comments. And it’s even more legit when you have two of the best including the newly crowned PBA playoff champion in these candid talks. This is gold right now.
Soon you guys may be taking questions from the ‘audience’… like ‘do you think the general public’s perception of professional bowling is changing? Or did the recent spoof of ‘A League of Ordinary Gentlemen’ just set it back?
Motiv has nice logos but the Ed Hardy days are in the past.
Wow Ron. First i want to say respect to you. I didnt know ebonite let you go. Their loss for sure. You made it starting up your own company. Great job!
LMAO... I thought it was fabuloso 😂😂😂
Since you don't use cleaners (EJ, Simo). How do you feel about surface? I saw a video recently similar to what you addressed in this video that basically said changing the box surface was a less than intelligent idea since the manufacturer (who put the video on) said that the company puts the best surface on the ball to compliment core and cover. To be fair it sounded like it was geared to the typical house bowler and not necessarily the pros, still it seemed a bit of a radical position to me. I bowl amateur tournaments on sport patterns frequently so I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Full disclosure, I use Motiv, Genesis tape and Turbo switch grips. I do make surface adjustments for tournaments. Not always, but sometimes.
Did I just read fabuloso as in the cleaner or something different I ain’t watched the video yet
After watching this 3 words: people are idiots
What happened with TR? I have been searching far and wide for that stuff!
As some has already asked.. Why don't they use ball cleaner? It would have been interesting to see Ron asked them just out of curiosity. I get that they probably don't keep balls but if they do they Never clean them ?
As pros, they drill a new set of Arsenal basically every month (minimally) and don’t need the maintenance on each ball. It’s likely they won’t even get to 50 games on each ball they throw unlike regular bowlers bowlers like us who will use the same ball for hundreds, maybe even thousand of games, where maintenance becomes paramount to sustaining the balls’ performance over time.
Why don’t the pros use ball cleaner?
Rivalry and competition sells, that is true across all industries. I feel like Radical was trying to play off that but missed the mark in terms of their tone. Honestly I think the way voice over guy came across was a big part of the problem. You could probably make the same video even with the same script, give it a different tone and it would come off far better.
So since they don’t use ball cleaners, do they just get another newer ball?
Was wondering the same thing when I hear them both say that. It’s been drilled into my head to clean a ball as soon as possible after finishing a game and the these 2 both say we don’t use ball cleaner lol confused me
most likely the case
yes they have that opportunity as PBA members. they also stash cases of balls that they like.
More likely so when they are team sponsored. Probably get them for free and can always get a new one.
Besides getting new balls their companies always coming out with new products so they get two of those every time that happens too.
Why don’t EJ and Simo don’t use ball cleaner?
Timeout….. EJ reps the brand but doesn’t use the product. I use purple stuff all the time. It’s great
i have no problem with the radical video . Alls fair and loves war. when people started bowling two handed and winning people had a problem with it too.
What was the Radical video? I’m just curious about it.

I tried that fab shit on my ball and it actually discolored the cover and it stinks!
