      You should be able to look on Google for "bowling proshops near me." You probably want to call ahead to make sure an operator is there. If you'd rather scope it out, be prepared for the proshop to be closed because most operators are only there at weird hours. Once you've spoken to an operator, you'll likely have to make an appointment. Some proshop operators don't like when you just come in asking for things to be done because they're already backed up with appointments or balls to be drilled

    Wow what was this? My PSO from the two pro shops I've tried in my area weren't this thorough let me tell you. Huh. A couple pieces of equipment he used I've never seen a PSO use. For ALL the $$$$$$$$$$ it costs to get fitted "properly" which I did not mind paying but now I feel like I have been getting somewhat ripped off. What an eye opener this was. Thank you Mr. Ron Hickland Jr.

      Keep in mind that a lot of these PSO guys just hang a shingle in a center and have no training or continuing education at all. Some just want to move product quickly and do not want to invest much time into a sale or customer. When you do find someone like this gentleman, hang on to them and treat them well in return. Glad to see CTD using a true professional in the shop.

      @@thebigeasy8609 drilling a bowling ball is the easy part of the Pro Shop. Hand fitting is an art. Hand fitting is a craft or skilled technician. Kinda like your favorite mechanic or a hair dresser or anyone that has a trade type job. Those who enjoy what they do will take their time and educate the bowler as they fit their hand. Explain what is going on as they do it. Watching the bowler roll a few shots on the lanes then taking measurements. Always explain each process as I go along. If your PSO doesn't do those things run, run away fast! Now new bowlers never having a ball you can still watch them roll a house ball and get something from that. Those who run shops not in bowling centers it a little more difficult. Take those PSO a video of yourself bowling. But finding the axis point will help when drilling a ball.

    • @hieverybody7612
      @hieverybody7612 5 місяців тому +1

      Yeah it is but there are certain changes you can do to relief that tendonitis. Depending on your grip length and pitches you can change those. Also look into the vacuum grip but I would change the length to alleviate pain.

      I deal with the same issue. If it’s a small hard growth it’s called a heberden nodule. My PSO knew the solution before I finished saying the issue. Simply change the pitch in the ring finger so it’s not bending as much. Feels as good as new

      I will be honest. This was pretty neat to watch. I have been fit lots of times and never seen a guy take that many measurements. So, now here I am wondering if I need a $950 piece of equipment in my pro shop. I will also say I check a lot of the flexibility in a hand and make sure to ask the bowler if they have any hand problems or issues before drilling a ball. I am new to this and my funds ran a little dry, but my next goal is to be Pro shop certified and that of course will be before I buy that Innovative fitting ball. Thanks for showing me there can be so much more to proper fit.

  • @MrSpectralio
    @MrSpectralio 5 місяців тому

    I've never ever been fitted like this, testing for flexibility and stuff. I have a very stiff thumb, i pretty much cannot bend it at the first crease (where the thumb is attached to the hand). And i've never felt comfortable coming out of any drilled ball. But no one has ever tested my flexbility, they pretty much all seem to do the same thing.

    Why use the bill Taylor ball fitter ? When you have the best fitting ball shoved all the way against the wall , the Jayhawk ball fitter is the best, it lets the player feel there span and pitches in your fingers and thumb , all those others are just smoke and mirrors

      I am a Pro Shop operator and this was actually a very good video. Every pro shop will see something different in a bowlers hand as far as flexibility, distance in fingers and thumb pitch & finger pitches. This video was good educational video for bowlers and PSO. I use the spray cans to explain to bowlers that the spray can would resemble the span the bigger the can the thumb will go in a certain direction. Smaller can the thumb will go in the opposite direction. Also easier to wrap your hand around the smaller can then the bigger spray can. Great video CTDbowling.

      @hieverybody7612 5 місяців тому

      @@TheFizzsterjust a question for you. If a bowler stops in and wants finger inserts change and you notice he barely gets the tip of his fingers in what type of span do you think that bowler uses? It is finger tip type grip.
      I will let the bowler know for the ball to fit properly he or she should put their finger down to the first crease in order to get better follow through and rotation on the ball. If they only put their fingers in to the tip barely holding on the thumb will have to do more work ( holding on or squeezing ).
