- Welcome to the channel. I have been fabricating crazy vehicle builds my whole life and look forward to continuing the process here at Colt Builds It. In this video you will get a little back story on myself and what this channel is about. Which will be How-to, Off road, On road, Fabrication, Tech and anything this goofy brain can come up with. There's the right way to do things, the wrong way to do things and my way to do things. Look forward to creating epic stuff with all of you and thank you for following along in my adventures!

Colt, I found you on Bleeping Jeep and have been amazed by your fab skills when watching you build that S10. So glad to see you are in a warmer state and hopefully you are building a larger and taller shop! You are one tall dude, lol. So excited to follow the new channel and I hope to be in that area visiting all that amazing open land real soon.

Super stoked for your channel. Don’t EVER get rid of your s-10. Not for a dollar, not in a giveaway. The capability of this rig matches its driver so keep that going buddy. Will you be at the off-road games? If so see ya there and hopefully my ZJ makes it down there from northern Utah!

In-wheel electric motors are high torque and can be controlled by a joystick for extreme accuracy!

I have nothing against Matt and I just watched his video earlier today, but It seems he's had a few partners who have decided to go it alone instead. It's got to be tough trying to have a partnership like that from across the country. He's got a good thing going in TN, looking forward to some NM content from Colt.
I am particularly looking forward to more variety. Jeeps are great and all, but there are other makes. You can build a capable offroader from just about anything. And to be able to branch out even further to just vehicles in general I think that is the right choice.
There's been rumors floating around for awhile that Matts not exactly....easy to work with, some of the other people who left hinted that was so.
Some of the comments I saw about 4 or 5 years ago were scrubbed or removed, they weren't flattering.

The S-10 is one of my favorites off-road trucks. the v6 sounds great. that truck just performs so well

You are pretty awesome and funny. Love when you all get together and play around in your off road vehicles. You look great Colt. I remember first watching your show or whatever you want to call it and you were a pretty big man. Now you are still a pretty big man but without all that extra weight. My hats off to you. I am 65. My little brother built big trucks as he would travel to mud races and he had tons of fun. In 2009 on Thanksgiving Day, he was killed on the job. He was only 46. But when I watch you, Matt, Robby, Paul, and the others. I am happy my brother got to play while still on this earth. I live in Oregon but was raised in Idaho. Yes! Secretly wanted a Colt channel. My dad was a guy that could figure out how to do whatever he needed done. I thought that was normal. It’s not. So I enjoy seeing someone creative, that doesn’t need to buy everything new to accomplish their goal.
Like what you do and have been following you in Bleeping Jeeps builds. The S-10 build was great, in 1987 I bought one in Co Springs when I was stationed at Ft Carson. had it for 20 yrs. You said in your video about the builds, "There's the right way and the wrong way ", now build it the "Colt's Way." Good luck and will be following your new channel.

A very wise man once said,. 'When you come to a fork in the road, Take it!" I am happy to see that you have. May I suggest a resoration/resusitation of an early 1990's LandRover Defender 90. A base1993 Defender 90 with the 200 Tdi engine on steroids is not common and not a Jeep and not a Samuri etc. etc. etc

Best wishes Colt. Whenever I saw you on the other channels I always felt you were there to help and support. I always respected that. And you were skilled in your own right, that S-10 is a prime example. I also want to someday have that rig that is mid-level and reliable. I am here in Colorado and want to reliably overland in the back country but the rig may be a daily driver, or almost a daily driver. Looking forward to what you get into.
