You guys never got the appreciation that you deserved.
Rescinded Between the debut album and Armistice, things were pretty rocky and discord among the members took hold. It was hard for them to recover from that but hey, we appreciate them and the six albums they gave us :)
i know
Amen to that
The ability to cut that off so perfectly...
These Drummer style must be the most unique I've seen and heard, I listen from Pos rock to Power metal and neoclasic, and no other drummer is so recognizable to me than him, really amazing drummer, important member of this awesome Band
darren king is a legend
I love how they change their instruments in the middle of the song! The drummer is CRAAZAAYYY!!
I get the same feeling as the first time I heard this song.
Very underrated band. But very appreciated by me.
This band has never got the recognition or accolades it deserves. Saw them live before the guitarist change some years ago in a small venue and they were amazing. Not much difference between the studio cuts and the live performances except for the obvious live energy. Never tire of listening to MuteMath.
I grew up in the seventies. The bands of major influence for me were bands such as Rush, Zepp, Bad Co., The Who and The Eagles. When I first heard the guys in Mute Math, I thought wow, I've found an entire new sound to get all excited about. A fantastic band who's full recognition was never realized.
Roy is amazing, his timing and tone are phenomenal
I miss these guys so much 😭
the best band that define of harmonic team .. love you mutemath
God bless you All
Paul was first to inspire me to love music and to become an multinstrumentalist
Darren inspired me to play drums
I love the precursor to Walking Paranoia at about 7:40. It's fun to catch a little glimpse into the creative process.
This might be the best video on UA-cam.
Muted by the sound of mutemath!
Most revolutionary band of the 21st century. Hands down!
They were so advanced for their time. This mfs came from the future!
Ugh miss them
What a great fucking jam!
Best song song ever played. Hands down.
what a focking awesome show OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my life was divided by before i meet mutemath and after
Tabernacle is one of my favorite venues in Atlanta and the US. So small, but so...amazing.
Also, as a bass player myself I know how thankless of a job it is to play bass. When you're there and cruising along with a song everyone is peachy with no notice of the bass. But the second you miss a note or drop out people are like "WTF?!?!?"
I think the bass is the foundation of most songs. The drums are a close second. Everything else is icing on the cake that can vary wildly, but the bass has to be tight and right or everything falls apart.
this band needs much more views-audience..i think they are the biggest thing out there,i love pink floyd,i was soo mesmerized by porcupine tree(the examples are just my point of view) and now, what is this..i mean..it's like all the genres together reminding you everything and being nothing but true emotional music from dedicated people..being mutemath music!i have no facebook and all these things,so people,do the dirty job and spread this band around!feel blessed i found their music..
i love mutemath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
freakin AWESOME
What Darren has that most drummers don't have is the ability to play in a clean manner as well as put his all into it. I personally don't think he's the best drummer in the world, but he's surely one of my favorites.
I think Roy doesn't get enough attention either, that guy is wicked at bass. xD
You took words out of my mouth) I live with absolutely the same feeling!!!))
Epic
Darren Is awesome!!!... playing drums is the greatest one, and he is even taking him off the headphones... without losing time in the song!! Yeah that's awesome :J
wwuuooo demais!!! power band!!
too bad they didn't perform the "devil is not the nature" part, i was really curious about that, eager to hear it
+Mango Teeth snap! i love the build up to that on the album...
Yeah, they kinda teased it at the very end. I would've liked to hear that part and the part after it too.
literally the best part of the song and potentially the entire album. when i first stuck around to hear it i was amazed
I was waiting for that part as well, my favorite part of the whole song. Perhaps they were trying to not offend anyone at the concert?... I guess we will never know...
Esto sí es música 😁 mute math siempre fue fiel a sus sonidos y a su estilo, hacían cambios pero siempre sobre el hilo de su personalidad musical. Los extrañamos mucho.
Wonderfull. Ufffff
this.is.SICK
This is real music ♥️ Darren King is the best drummer I've seen perform, no doubt!
Incredible performance. Liked it.
Come on guys lets go where's that new album; its been an excruciatingly long wait, and you got to know expectations are high. That said: Mutemath always delivers.
I ran into Darren at a Foster the People concert, and he said it should be this year!
Alison M So soon! They said no info super soon and they're done mixing it!
ok, just plain freakin' sick, stupid, da bomb, or whatever adjective you wish to use here. too much!. just a band of genius's!. really good live mix!. hat's off!!
Greg is a freakin' machine in this song!
ufffff boqui abierto :O excelente!!!
Why didn't they perform with that part? It's one of the best breakdowns I've ever heard!
I really miss Greg Hill and his style, it was so unique in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I like Todd and I'm excited to see how all four of them sound on the next record, but Greg is one of my all time favourite guitarists.
Cannot weight to see them on Play Dead!!!
Mutemath have really good song titles... :P Speaking as a writer.
Haha, I completely agree, my own band is pretty bass-driven, so if he misses a note it's no good. Plus, as a drummer, I connect a lot with the bass, so that's why I like it to be a big part of the song.
PC Siqueira na guitarra!
killer
Could not handle that lick at 6:25. Dirty Darren
What a jerk. The devil must've logged in and disliked this video. I can't stand that dude!!
@mnnpr4 I caught that, too! :-D
@Jack O'Meara I agree. I miss Greg so much!!!! I think todd is ok but I don't think his playing is as complex or technical as Greg's. Thats why I loved greg alot!!! Todd's is too simplistic for me. I respect his playing though.
Darren king=Automaton!
Greg left before the writing of Odd Soul.
They are the bestest of the bestest of the best [Insert the greatest superlative degree of this whole universe] band ever !!!!! They only should do more advertisement/marketing/promotions. They have made me hate Linkin Park, LP's songs seems so repetitive now.
Eargasm
Guitarist somehow reminds me of Steve Hackett. Cool ass dude, cool ass band. Live tight as fuck.
today's Jane's Addiction
Dave Tone - I thought the same thing especially when I was listening to this while driving. The reverb on the vocals is so jane’s addiction.
7:32 Walking Paranoia
@anotherdaywithbandj yup, too bad he's leaving the band.
Darren couldn't hold it together!
It was the joker, its about sending a message.
but he was here for this song i think thats what he ment
6:24 too clean Darren...
Five people need counseling
Funny how this group will play each others instruments. One might wonder if they also share each others better halves.
