Man, I'm really hung up on this band. I haven't been like this in a long time. I'm 52 years old, and I know music, and this band, man, these guys got it.
n0id4u isn’t it so incredibly weird to look into the mirror and wonder why the sun is still in my face and the shadows are still falling behind me, and I’m 50 yo in 2020 and I never lost my teen spirit man I’m still angstyAF and I know I was so privileged to be there when the genXers brought the underground topside. I tbh I never expected to get past 30 but I did and I’m thinking even though I’m in the downhill phase of my life I’m going to be able to make the exit with just a handle of regrets because of the time that I spent making the bad times bearable and then when I let the good times get me down I still didn’t give up. I’ve been down and out and in the highlife.
This song is so powerful, it just rises slowly and then it explodes until its over. it's musically amazing to my senses. been one of my fav songs of all time for so many years.
So...i've never seen them do anything live...but for the simple fact that when started and it sounded EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE DAMN CD.......my body has CHILLS. Unreal and underrated.
Saw them live a few weeks back for first time ever, in a very small venue in Toronto. Could quite possibly one of my favorite shows ever, and I've seen some pretty big hands. This was right up there. Top 5. @@TheStrategist314
I know SP is known for songs like Lazy Eye and Panic Switch, but this song has always been one of my absolute favorites. The atmosphere, tone and shifts that SP is able to do with this song is unlike anything I've ever heard.
After meeting and seeing them live, can I just say that this band is SUPERB. Nikki is so humble and so talented as well as Brian and everyone else. AMAZING SONG AND AMAZING EVERYTHING
I've been binge watching One Tree Hill and whoever was the music director for this show was amazing and had exceedingly good taste! I heard this track in the background to a episode in season 7 Shazammed it cos had no idea who it was and here I am . Bloody brilliant song
What a find...! Someone posted this on a forum and I've just listened to it three times over. I'm now off to go and listen to some more of their material. I fear my neighbours are in for a 'bit of a treat' later on today when I'll be plugging in and playing along to learn that bassline. Fantastic stuff. :-)
Only discovered this band about a month ago, bought Swoon and have been listening to it most every day since. This song is the highlight of a very strong album....absolutely fantastic
Such a talented and prolific songwriter and band. I actually forgot to listen to this band for a while and am reminded of how great of a group they are.
Started playing this live last night in Salty Lakey City then went straight into Lazy Eye about 45 seconds later! Holy Captain Crotchety Crunch, Why??!!! This and Rusted Wheel are my most favorite SSPU songs EVER!! Such a great show...Circadian Rhythm blew me away!
Excellent performance of a fantastic song, spoiled by AOL Interface's silly requirement in using auto-tune on all vocals. So many good AOL Interface sessions are ruined because of it. Such a shame. Love Silversun Pickups though!
It blows my mind . Love it . Agree with Panch . From 3:22 on , it's Xtassy .... And at 4:20 Brtian is right into it . What a band . Come back to Topronto soon guys .

These guys have something for every age, man. I'm about to be a junior in highschool and I've loved every song I've heard from them
reading this 8 years later, hope you have (had) a great 60th birthday man
I’m Going to go to bat for them... best rock band of the 21 century
@@KILLOXY Thank you Jack!

Yea especially THiS live version they absolutely killed it
@@dontatme7 yeah the live version just makes it better
I always got the tinglies to this song and most of their songs tbh, this performance is the best!
Yes to all of these specific comments! This live version is Epic!
3 years in a row listening to this song pretty much every week
pretty much ;)
Never even heard of these guys until a couple of months ago, now can't stop listening amazing band
Just saw them live for the first time and they were even better live !!
Absolute goosebumps from head to toes. Such a brilliant performance. Swoon will always be my favourite album
Yea they killed this live performance
So...i've never seen them do anything live...but for the simple fact that when started and it sounded EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE DAMN CD.......my body has CHILLS. Unreal and underrated.
So now i've seen them live...maybe the best live show i've ever been to...and the lead singers voice pierced through our cities streets.
RidinSpinaz04 I can assure you, he sounds exactly the same every time with performs. He mirrors the album.
I'm this case, better than the album. Swoon was one of the best albums ever written. Certainly when it comes to mainstream Rock.
RidinSpinaz04 Does he mirror the album or does the album mirror him?🤔

The Carnavas and Swoon eras are my favorite
Heard it in VGHS and HOT DAYUM this is some top notch music. Love it so much!

This song is so fucking brilliant, even more so live ..
How is this band so fucking good? I don't understand how they touch me like this. I fall into their music and fly.
Saw them in 2018 in Phoenix . They opened for Third Eye Blind. First time I ever heard them and have been addicted ever since.
I love this song so much I want this song played at my funeral.
Christian Guzman I've formally put it on paper. It's in my funeral.
bunt1691 that’s awesome
Me too !!
After meeting and seeing them live, can I just say that this band is SUPERB. Nikki is so humble and so talented as well as Brian and everyone else.
AMAZING SONG AND AMAZING EVERYTHING
I must have watched this clip about 30-40 times and I always get the chills when Bryan hit that note at 4:54 on 'We cryyy!' Every single time.
Thanks Silversun pickups, you make my life richer..
I've been binge watching One Tree Hill and whoever was the music director for this show was amazing and had exceedingly good taste! I heard this track in the background to a episode in season 7 Shazammed it cos had no idea who it was and here I am . Bloody brilliant song
Same!!!
Having a late appreciation for this band, hadn't heard of them until a couple of months ago, absolutely beautiful
This song...still amazing. They just played Coachella too. Love this!
We sing. We fight. We cry. We slide.
The studio version, I do LIKE. The live version, I do LOVE.
Best video on UA-cam in 240 resolution quality.
hahahah
Not that quality really matters that much.
I’m 56 , stumbled upon this band .and what a stumble ,, love it 😊 .. . And I’ve a wide varied taste in tunes 👍👍
A masterpiece
It really is, their best piece imo. It just never gets old is getting old pardon the joke.
Man, this Energy.... Love this Band!!!!!!! Vienna Austria
Epic performance.. love this band.
Chris on Drums....
He is so good. His movements are unique to him
I love how Brian kinda looks a bit cross-eyed when he sings xD
Definitely my favourite song of theirs.
There's a reason he wrote lazy eye

I think this one will always be my favourite.
@3:35 the drummer started going at it. Great song
the end of song is the best part :)
"you've got no where to go but here..."
Beautiful song, excellent performance
Almost started clapping. Then I remembered it was just a video.
What a tune and performance!
Such a talented and prolific songwriter and band. I actually forgot to listen to this band for a while and am reminded of how great of a group they are.
Come back to Toronto soon . Love you guys .
Yeah! I from China!I am really hung up on this band too!❤I love theirs rhythm!❤❤
3:21 and onward gives me the chillssss

This is definitely better than the original. Awesome
ashdodge are you absolutely sure about that
you know this is the original right? silversun pickups wrote it
@@jblast22 I think he means he prefers the live version over the studio one.
god damn he has one hell of a voice
My favorite band, can't help it.
Best Epi Sheridan tone EVER.
2021 …still finding this awesome
can't express my love for this song
They are so amazing playing live. Best day of my life
What a voice ! ...DAMN !
Brian and NIkki's voices melting together like that is sooooooo beautiful. But they kind of all look sad during these AOL sessions.
still here after 4 years
I don't think it's sadness, just their mood
Amazing band one of the best in the world 🎸🎸
3:22 to 6:22 = best 3 minutes of my life
Damn I love Nikki's voice
They added a robotic effect in this song on it sounds great.
I’ve always wondered how the drummer plays just kicks so perfectly and on time the first three minutes of the song lol
Had no idea they were this great live! I’ve missed out big time with these guys.
straight up hypnotic...one of the best versions of this song
I love this group I like their older stuff like this a lot better though.
Absolute top 50 song!
Oh what passion in this. Makes me happy
5:05 Boom!!! there just had an eargasm!!
those guitar bends at 4.44
@luvaddictXO Yeah, I heard that too. Was mostly noticeable at the end right.
Still watching in 2023!
Seeing them on the 19th! Wish they were performing this one!
One of their best tracks!
I love how it builds!
Yes, he has a lazy eye. Hence the song entitled "Lazy Eye". It's a very semi-autobiographical tune.
Brian, your voice is incredible brother ! You can really hit some notes 😮
I love Nikki’s voice
If i only could have one album in jail to listen to, it be a Silversun Pickups geatest hits
Still here in 2024 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Excellent performance of a fantastic song, spoiled by AOL Interface's silly requirement in using auto-tune on all vocals. So many good AOL Interface sessions are ruined because of it. Such a shame.
Love Silversun Pickups though!
Ребята вы охрененные-у меня нет слов -я желаю Вам удачи и любви!!!!!!!!!!
The drummer always goes hard in the paint
awesome bass guitar and drum
"Stiil we are..." Listening. Watching. Waiting....
Siempre me a gustado la energía de este gran músico y de la banda en general...🎉
this is the one of the best songs that i hear
Speechless !
At first, I thought he went cross-eyed on purpose for like effect or something. I just realized from the comments that he actually had a lazy eye.
Muito boa a música!!! Com destaque para o vocal, forte e diferente!!!!
Pure perfection
Going to see them May 4th!
Great music always says what we can't x
What a bass line! ❤
autotune?? BITCH PLEASE we got a Nikki Monninger !!
So good, every time.
tbh i think that this song feels so much better live.Great band, its a shame that i wont ever be able to see them live..
Ahh, yes. The Swoon era
BEST SONG EVER!
seeing them tuesday at tower theatre omg can't wait wowowowow
and 9 years later. Growing old is definitely getting old :\
4:20 , nuff said. My head exploded.
@dustintellier It happened to me too and I was working at the office!
I think Chris is using a coated batter head for his bass drum, What you guys think?
i wonder what heads he uses on toms, Mmm
just love these guys
It blows my mind . Love it . Agree with Panch . From 3:22 on , it's Xtassy .... And at 4:20 Brtian is right into it . What a band . Come back to Topronto soon guys .
Wow i love this band :)
powder turns and big air off snow jumps into the sunset!
I have a SERIOUS crush on the drummer. He and his hair =sexy
