  • The ongoing Nikon vs. Canon competition moved into the digital realm, because why wouldn't it? The Nikon D70 is very modest compared with today's digital SLRs, and it lacks many features that we expect to day, such as Live View, a moveable 3-inch LCD, video capabilities and a CMOS sensor. Regardless, this camera is rock solid in construction and performance.

    Digital photography technology moves so quickly that it's impossible to keep up. While a good film camera can live on for decades among its fans, most digital cameras enjoy a short life. Once the shiny new model is released, the previous model drops quickly from the public eye. Sort of a shame how that happens.

    i have my dads immaculate d70s that i just converted into full spectrum. it is so dang cool shooting full spectrum. i also just bought a d200 on ebay to have for regular visible light shooting. long live the CCD sensor! i refuse to buy a newer "modern" dslr

    7:55 In single point autofocus, you can move the focus point with the "D" pad (there are 5 focus points). The vertical switch with "L" on it - prevents moving the focus point
