Spectacular layout. I noticed that you use Digitrax Dcc. Are you happy with the choice and did you use their products for the signal system? Approximately how long are the signal blocks and what length trains do you plan to run? Did you use track planning software and if so, can you share the plan and the software company you used? Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your kind comments. I chose Digitrax because of the signaling and I am happy with that choice. The signal blocks vary in length, many are about 6 ft while others are shorter based on the signaling conditions. To run long HO trains, with signaling, on any layout requires long blocks. As you can see from the video, that is about the maximum length. I did use 3D Planet software (2009) to layout the track, but have since misplaced the the files. There are four videos on the construction which might provide some insight on how the layout was constructed. It was initially laid out using chalk and yardstick on the basement floor.
Yes, I saw those videos, very nice. I was just looking for an overall plan for room and layout size and general plan. Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for sharing this great layout.

The layout is about 17ft x 22 ft in the shape of upside-down "U". If you share your email, I'll send you a sketch.
Thank you, your description was sufficient. Subscribed and looking forward to your next video.
