The story goes that he bought the saxophone on a Friday learned to play it over the weekend and recorded with it on a Monday. Not sure what track but the album was On The Boards. The great thing about Rory was he could play it all Blues , Rock Country, Folk , Jazz on electric and acoustic. His influences were diverse and they can all be heard on his recordings. Thanks for covering Rory he was the best .
Ey up Todd. Interesting choice. I didn't really like this when it came out, I was only 15 and I think I found it a bit too 'grown up'. Anyway I appreciate it more now. Keep on truckin' mate.
Hi @speedtriplerider - I agree with you. When I bought the album I was expecting something similar to the first Taste album. But no, it was completely different and took me a bit to get into it. Thanks for your thoughts on this song. Keep rockin' my friend ...
Great choice, really like this

There is footage on YT of Rory playing the sax live. Wish I could find it again.

I'm not a big fan of long jams, but this would be good background music for reading a book. It's in the Dave Brubeck/Paul Desmond vein.
