Understanding pan tension was a game changer for me. You mentioned Dale Billingsley, he helped me as well with my beaver foothold sets. Can’t thank him enough! Another good one, always look forward to another Real Talk!!
I set some 1 3/4 dukes on some trails along with some 2 coiled jrs 1 cat in the duke full pad no pan tension, 2 cats in no bs jr with stock tension just waxed toe catches, 1 cat same jrs dirt hole toe catch too is that just cause the jrs are so heavy they need 4 coils? Never had a miss with them tho and every coyote is caught deep
@@nonametrapper4life yeah to me the pan size is very comparable to a bridger two but the metal is a lot thicker before the lamination so with the lamination that are some thick jaws but I love em cause I end up catching some “color phase coyotes” that I might want to release

I would guess it may need 4 coiled because they are heavier made traps. Either that or pan size which I just did a video on.
@@nonametrapper4life I’m going to try 4 coiling them 👍
@bynumfranks226 let me know if it helps man. I think it will
