Someone should make a good MX game where you can build a bike or quad. Make it completely custom. Build an engine. Bore it, stroke it, put cams in, etc. like if you agree
Heres a cool idea: The next MX game with a track editor, when you launch the game for the first time it puts you into track editor where you create your very own test track for the main screen. Every test track would be different and tailored to your play style. And would also serve as a tutorial for the track editing software
This game is super realistic, just like real life even with lots of practice I still get like 16th at best and my dad was super disappointed when he watched me play it

I had a ton of fun with it when it came out, and still enjoy multiplayer with the homies. The bad thing is, I've raced all the tracks multiple times and it's starting to get boring since there aren't too many tracks to choose from.The game is amazing, 8 schmeezers for sure, it's just one of those game that don;t have a ton of play ability after putting in some time.

To do realistic whip in this you don't push the thumb sticks at the same time, if you lean the bike over with the left thumb stick as you head towards the jump and then initiate the whip with just the right thumb stick as you hit the bottom of the face of the jump you can scrub and whip like real life.

I wish they’d remake the MX Ricky Carmichael game that was on PS2 back in 2002! I was in the Navy back then and me and buddies on the ship logged 100’s of hours racing against each other!
My main gripe is just rider and bike customization. I've said it before but the numbers suck so bad, and I wish we could create our own graphics and add sponsors to bikes and gear, not a weird looking sponsor livery. A white Kawasaki is unusual. Not to mention new gear, and energy drink helmets. If you've ever played the Eutechnyx' NASCAR games, a customization like that would be great. I love everything else, although I think the flow of the game arguably looks more arcade. It looks much more like MX vs ATV, which is a kind of a disappointment. The rider movement also looks stiff as hell too. But I'm sure the physics are good. MXGP got rider movement down to the tee. I respect your opinion about flow though. That's all of my main gripes. I'm fine with everything else though.
Yes, rider customization could be much better. I mentioned that in the video, that the reuse of mxgp 2 gear was a major disappointment. Being able to customize a bit more like you said with sponsors such as energy drinks and such would be a nice addition too. Make sure to voice your opinions on their facebook page. They really do listen to player feedback.

I'd play either of the games very casually and not serious/much dedication at all. Seems like I'd enjoy mx vs atv but the graphics on this game are hard to pass up!
If you were going to switch over from MX vs ATV, this would be the better one to switch to. It plays faster and smoother than any of the other mxgp titles in my opinion. Very pick up and play friendly.

Hey! I'm not to sure, I haven't even looked at the controller options yet, but I've heard changing them is tougher because the rewind button is mapped permanently to right bumper. Hope that helps a little.
Yeah, starting to believe that the steering control is locked into either the right or left toggle only. In which case, I'll just need to learn how to steer again. 😝
Depends a bit on whether or not you are playing on console or PC. MX vs ATV Reflex is a great one if you have a PC and can play the custom content, or people have voiced their love for MX Simulator as well on PC. I personally really like MX vs ATV Supercross Encore, but it takes some time to get comfortable playing that game.
Really good choice, especially if you like bikes in general. The Supermoto is a bit limited with tracks with only a few that are dedicated to it, but there is a lot besides Supermoto to do in the game.

Why does this game look like there's no momentum and weight to the bikes? It doesn't seem like hitting the perfect line makes any difference to the flow. That doesn't do it for me at all...
You may have talked about it in the video, but I didn't watch the whole thing. My number one concern is the whip/wheelie physics. In most games your rider just flies off the back of the bike when you wheelie and you can fender scrape or hit 12 o'clock. Is MXGP3 like this? or can you wheelie more slowly/realisticly. Also in Reflex the whip physics were awful. How are they in this game?
Whips are better. They serve somewhat of a purpose, you can scrub a bit lower if you start the scrub earlier, but its still somewhat of a push button, in that you move the sticks toward or away from each other like in MXGP 2. You can wheelie, but its not really easy to keep it up at 11 or 12 o'clock without crashing.
Probably not it's just a work computer and it's pretty old too. I also tried on a new computer and it was worse and it had all the stuff that you just said and it still did not work either I think it's just the dlc tracks added so that's probably why

Lol, ya, definitely has that in between feel to it a bit. One thing that seems to be really solid is the battling in multiplayer. If there multiplayer stays solid I think that is where most my hours post game launch will be put.
For me PS4 runs really pretty good. I dont know if Xbone got an update fixing things or not, but when it released on May 30th the game ran terrible on a handful of tracks.
Pretty much enough to buy one bike. You gain credits based on what the difficulty is, if you use pro physics, etc. You can choose all that in the race settings. Anything making the game tougher will earn you more credits for a win.

why does my bike fall over in a corner when I lean the rider away from the bike, the rider movement in corners feels backwards

It feels similar to me. They are tough at first, but once playing a while they arent to tough to beat. Still tougher than MXGP 2 I think.

Pretty much just racing for mxgp 3. You can kind of free ride the compound, but other than that just racing.

Xbone, PS4, or PC? For me, PS4 runs pretty smooth. Havent tried PC yet, but Xbone had some serious lagging issues on a few tracks.

It looks like a fun time, but for myself I wouldn't necessarily invest more than 6 hours in the game, they really nailed a few things but i'm not sure whether Milestone is going for a sim or an arcade, its like a wonky inbetween hahah
Lol, ya, definitely has that in between feel to it a bit. One thing that seems to be really solid is the battling in multiplayer. If there multiplayer stays solid I think that is where most my hours post game launch will be put.

Is it just as good on PS4 as on Xbox one?
For me PS4 runs really pretty good. I dont know if Xbone got an update fixing things or not, but when it released on May 30th the game ran terrible on a handful of tracks.
How much credits do you start out with
Pretty much enough to buy one bike. You gain credits based on what the difficulty is, if you use pro physics, etc. You can choose all that in the race settings. Anything making the game tougher will earn you more credits for a win.
