Since I noticed MXGP PRO has terrain deformation with ruts and bumps (try the extreme career and see how rough the track gets in the motos and how real the ruts and bumps feel), it became my favorite mx game ever. I'm not sure it was there already from the release but now on the Steam version the terrain deformation is present and pretty realistic, not overexaggerated as in MX vs ATV.
100% and in first person it feels real, I ride amature motocross on a national track gp pro is likely still the best although I havnt tried 21. Propbaly wht pro is still 60$ on steam.
MXGP pro easily the best games simply due to the facts that you could hit some really hard to pull-off lines which was very rewarding. Like the double before the goal in Qatar, the two huge doubles in the Russian gp. Only thing that was bad in that game was the random corner crashes like you hit a rock or something.
MXGP 3 was my favourite too. 19 and 20 are about equal, both fun. And for some reason I played PRO the most, I think mainly because I wanted to learn it and it was harder than the others. I skipped 1 and 2 because I hated the demos.
So personally and probably unsurprisingly I'd say my number 1 has been and always will be mxgp 2 followed by gp3 and then gp 19 in third, gp 1 in 4th, gp 2020 in 5th, gp 2019 in 6th and gp pro in last. Gp2 will always be my number 1 because of how big the revolution of it was in comparison to what they have introduced sense. Being fair GP 1 was fresh off mud yes but them adding full bike and rider customization aswell and being able to run what ever team you wanted was HUGE for the series. Much like how MW2 is one of the most revolutionary and most fan favorite in COD history, I feel that GP 2 is just overall the OG classic. Now I understand that people didn't like it and that other games are very good too but I will always remember the amount of fun I had on it not to mention it helped start my channel lmao. I do like your list though, you made very very good points and I definitely think your list is s tier 🤍
MXGP3 is still my favorite too, I have hundreds of hours put into that game, the rest on the list I haven't really played or haven't played at all. I never really saw the point in buying other MX games since I liked mxgp3 so much. I did rent a few of the other ones but never bought them, besides the 1st supercross and mxgp2.
I personally love mxgp2019. The physics with the bikes in the corners felt realistic. Ya jumping was a bit off until you tuned your bike just right for each track. That was definitely the kicker was tuning. I spent more time tuning than racing which I enjoyed because I could get faster times on each track. Good list though!
I'm the only one who keeps playing mtx mototrax for ps2? that game was insane back then, with the 4 free ride areas, you have 4 bikes for unlock in the carrer mode.
Pro was the best of its class imo, smoothest and best graphics, speed sense was great, terrain and ruts were realistic and plenty more, did lack on the compound and campaign depth but thats okay for what it is
I’m a person for realism in motorcross games so 2019 was the best you can get it had really good track graphics and rider movements but I can see how people didn’t like it, it’s more of a simulation than a competitive game to be honest
Only thing I’d do is swap 2020 with Pro, I played over 250hrs on Pro and did extreme career for like 8 seasons or so, won both championships and got the exclusive gear. It was an absolute grind and I feel you could get away from the “inconsistencies” in the turning and jumps with bike set-ups, it was the first game I really learned how I like a bike to feel in game. By the time I finished my last season on 450 I was winning by 15+sec every race, other than France, idk why but they were always fast there, it’s the only trophy I never got on that game.
GREAT SUMMARY of the different versions. I bought MXGP (2014) and never bought another until MXGP 2020 (because I read they added tracks & improved physics - but still no terrain deformation). The original game was OK, but as an SX fan, I want more track variety in new game versions & the MXGP series was basically same tracks each year. Also, as a USA MX fan, I really didn't like the GP tracks. They're mostly WFO w/ out much timing, rhythm, flow or "sections"... IMO. Thanks for a GREAT VIDEO!
I focused only on the way the rear wheel is simulated. It looks okay in 1 and 2. 6:13 In MXGP Pro, it is looking too slow when driving fast, it just looks off, and like it is floating in the air at times it should look like being on the ground. In 2020 it looks okay again. 10:46 In MXGP 3 it looks so bad, i mean look at it. It spins slowly at all times. How does a whole collective of developers not see that. I like Milestone, but how did that happen, lol. Thanks for the video. It helped me to figure out, having MXGP 1 is good, and will not improve much with the other titles. I will check out MX Bikes with these shader mods, and Supercross 1 and 3. Supercross 1 because of how the bike moves over the multiple small bumps, we call it washboard in my language, and Supercross 2 because of how the driver moves more realistic. What i want to see more, personally, from all these games, is, the suspension working more, and the tires digging really deep into the dirt, throwing it up. I want more action visually. If you land from a high jump, the wheel should sink all the way into the suspension, but in these games it looks so stiff. I don't know if that is settings related, but in your videos it always looks too bumpy, what the bike does from impacts.

(i play 2 hours with lot of different motorcycle and the physics drove me crazy 🤪 (is an MXGP game with a physics of super cross(incompatible in my opinion)).
completely agree with mxgp3 being top i have so much fun in this game just seems to make you smile when you finish the race rather than just rushing to the next one to get it over and done with
I agree with your list but I would switch Pro around with mxgp 3. And I was wondering if you are going to do one with the supercross gamers or then combined😁
Fair enough. Ive done a combined one, but it was a while ago when the newest game was Supercross 1 at the time. I guess it depends on what you all would prefer to see!
I used this guide to decide which MXGP to dive into for the first time. 2020 it is for me, because 3 (as well as 2019 and Pro) screwed up the rear wheel spin speed, which is insane considering the original and second game did it properly. Total immersion breaker.
MXGP 3 was my #1 was as well. I didn't like the bike's reaction to the mud, until I adjusted gearing to make a gear high work. There were too many mud races in the premier class championship though. Seemed like every event was a mudder. Then my complaint with all of Milestone's games is the interval between you and the AI. You could start 30 seconds back and still win. But if you raced for real with similar lap times, you wouldn't win by a large margin.
MXGP 2021 is fantastic!!! Gets frustrating on late laps and I’m not sure how to keep from falling. I’m new and I play with manual/advanced everything and no assists. It’s amazing railing a berm with the clutch boost
i was about had the opinion between MXGP 3 and Mxgp2021. mxgp 3 for me graphic wise is not good but in gameplay it was the best ever. in mxgp 21 the graphic is the king but i find the uncomfortable in the gameplay the physic was too hard for me and so unenjoyable. so ive got find the solution about those minus and plus. And U KNOW WHAT MXGP 19 is my choice. i know the bike sound is poor. but its graphicly good and i enjoy the gameplay physic. even ive done some career mode in it.
The only MXGP games I've played is 3 and recently started playing 2020. MXGP 3 is by far one of my favorite MX games. 2020 is ok but the track editor sucks no matter what the custom tracks have an overly generic feel to them, more so than the SX track editors which are at least fun to play of they are built right.
I ride and Pro in first person feels real, and if you dont understand why your falling in corners or whatever its simply cause you dont ride and race motocross, thats the reality of it.
This and some of your other videos pretty much got me into milestone mxgp games. I'm now the owner of MXGP 3 (PS4 & PC) MXGP PRO (PC & XBOX) MXGP 2019 (PC & XBOX) and MXGP 20 (PS5 & PC). My order from best to worst (love them all) 1. MXGP PRO 2. MXGP 3 3. MXGP 20 4. MXGP 2019. Like you I love them all. Thanks for introducing me to such a great game series
I might catch some flak for this but in my opinion mxgp 2019 was hella fun. I loved that game it was so much fun and i basically had the game figured out to a T man. I dont really see where everyone hates on that game. I guess they must have experienced things in that game that i never experienced. But in my opinion that game would have been 2nd with gp3 in 1st and either gp 2020 or gp 2 in 3rd
Mxgp 2 is the first one I ever played still it's the only one I have I'm looking for ideas on the games to buy I ride in real life but ya thanks for ur ideas man helped me alot
I gave a try almost to all of those, to some way more than others, expecially mxgp2 and pro, but i had the most fun with MXGP. I think making a sim for dirtbike is something kinda impossible, on asphalt races and on 4 wheels races it's manageable expecially because you have steering wheels and pedals as controller to get a reference for the response and asphalt doesnt change as much as mud during a race. Recreating the feeling with motocross and supercross means recreating something very complicated, there are too many variables so it will never be possible to do an accurate sim as we intend it and it will always just be a subjective perception. That's why i don't care if a dirtbike game is called a sim or not, i like when jumps looks natural and not unnecessarily high or long, i'd like milestone to improve AI (expecially when you double pass the opponents they should make you pass easier), i like when watching the replay the animation looks real and i like most of all the fun and the satisfaction the gameplay gives me. For all those reasons i like most MXGP, the feeling of those drifts made my day every time i played it.
MXGP3 and Pro and my favorites by far! Pro is in second place, due to the consistency stuff... which is really weird. But 3 felt the best overall, even coming back to it after many years! 19 was ok, but a step back from Pro. And I actually refunded 20 because it did not feel right for me. Never played 1 and 2 though.
I agree, 19 was definitely a step back from Pro. I just put in 24odd hours in Pro to get all the trophies, and man did I have some fun with it! I feel the bike setup is probably the best on pro, so reactive with only 1 'click' on the suspension. Absolutely love the physics.
@@rmz250k7 I somehow have 100 hours in Pro lol But I played the career with full length races a lot. Still come back to either Pro or MXGP3 here and there :)
I would reverse mxgp3 with mxgp2020. 3 was a little too difficult for me in some rut situations. 2020 takes time to get use to them but they are great and easier to navigate. Pro was way too sensitive. Seemed way too easy to crash. Really enjoying 2020!
Ive bought Mxgp 21 for 1,99 bucks on the ps5 store, and i love the game, the handling feels very simulation, and hard. And its really hard to get first place for me, even on the easiest. Alot of training needet. But its a good game good pysics.
The main problem I have with gp3 is that the Hondas are a bit under powered compared to the other bikes, and the Ktms were way out of the other bikes leagues.
Pro is probably the least. All the rest are pretty similar. I think MXGP 3 has a great balance. You can also choose to have realistic or standard physics. That will give you more control over whether or not it feels more arcade.
I don't understand why a lot of people want Supercross Tracks in a game that is motocross. MXGP 2 was the last MXGP game I played then I got MXGP 2020 and man that game is awesome. I'd like to see more in depth to the Career mode for MXGP 2021, but at the end of the day MXGP 2020 is a solid game.
I agree, everyone hates on 20 but it seems more challenging and I am enjoying it alot. I waited after all the issues and just got it last week. I am having awful lagging/freezing issues when it rains. Other than that I like it! I have all of them except Pro
@@qdn7720 do you ride a dirt bike? The free air rotation in games like supercross 3 is way too much, you can't do that in real life. Also if you ride on a track without ruts and you go full throttle all the time with a 250 or 450 you probably will slide more than you do in the game
My list 1 being the best and 6 being worst 6. Mxgp 2 5. Mxgp pro 4. Mxgp 1 3. Mxgp 3 2. Mxgp 2019 1. Mxgp 2020 They are all great games and it’s close between them all but this is how I’d put them 👍
Just bought mxgp2 because I saw it was only $1.49 in PlayStation store. First mxgp I’ve ever played, and didn’t even make it through the first career race before deleting the game. Couldn’t even pick my favorite number for my rider, the most arcade physic feeling motocross game I’ve ever played. Got sick for being reset every 2 seconds for dropping a tire out past the yellow barrier sticks. Also felt like my bike had a lawnmower 4 stroke in it and wasn’t going anywhere. What 250f tops out at 47mph wide open down hill? Gave me a bad taste and only way I’ll try another mxgp is if I have the chance to do so for free.
I liked 2019 spent 90 hours in it but I also enjoyed first person in 2020 except I only got 30 hours in it anyways best mx game I played is mx bikes where I have 100 hours
All milestone need to do is take MXGP3 update the tracks, teams and all that and maybe up the graphics a little bit but I think the game looks ok as it is but would look awesome with updated graphics.
The newest one is my favorite. Except I don't understand why there aren't certain gear companies..and it has a glitch where the noise it makes with the xp point counter gets "stuck on" and I have to reset the game to make it go away
I still wish someone would take MTX Mototrax from the PS2/Xbox/PSP and build a new game from that. For me that was the best playing and funnest Supercross/ Motocross game ever made. I still play it to this day
do you guys have this wierd "glitch" in mxgp 2020 when hitting an inside corner your bike just turnes 90 degrees straight away? it is so anoying that in havent played the game for a few weeks now. i love how it looks en how the riding is in the more simple tracks. but technical tracks are just a no go for me now🙄
Yes! Make sure your joint brakes are off and just use a touch of front brake entering tight insides, also try using the right stick less than the left.
Mxgp 1 you could pull straight off the track into the pits. Pretty sure that's the only one to offer that. Small but cool detail. Mxgp 3 is my favorite overall still
My favourite one is mxgp2. I find it is the most realistic. And I can really visual myself in the game racing. It is the best game that I can connect with. 🙂
MXgp 2021 is on the top now IMO. Animations are significantly better as graphics and gameplay is solid. Also featuring the best sounding of all bikes realism talking
MXGP 2019 is my favorite because it's the most realistic feeling and the ladt one with track rut making. MXGP3 is 2nd for me. MXGP 2020 is the worst one.
MXGP 3 is a very good game, I’m surprised you didn’t talk about it’s terrain deformation system that we didn’t see in other games after it.
Sorry didn’t realize I was replying to your post man 😂
MXGP 3 the best!!
2019's last update have the best terrein deformation in all mxgp games. try it out now. you wont be disspointment

MXGP PRO and 3 give me a great sense of speed watching you play. All the other ones felt so slow and felt like you werent even moving
Too much speed is not realist, its too much arcade like
Only mxgp 2019 has à realistic speed.. Just my opinion
MXGP 19 very Worst
These are the 2 best games they made in my opinion!
Yeah I agree
Mxgp 2 feels like you’re going 10 mph when the game says 60

MXGP 3 is by far one of my favorite MX games. 2020 is ok but the track editor sucks no matter what the custom tracks have an overly generic feel to them, more so than the SX track editors which are at least fun to play of they are built right.
Can you make the same with supercross game ?
For me it’s the second
I'll probably wait for Supercross 4 to officially release first and put some time into it. But we can for sure make that happen.
@@Max2corde personally I prefer the 3rd
@@silverado1117 i like the third too
But, the physics are a litlle bit better in the second for me
Best choice to buy mxgp 2020 or mxgp3??
MXGP 3 for sure.
As said bellow, MXGP 3 with terrain deformation is for me the best one in the serie.
Ruts actually grab the bike wish for a remaster
I ride and Pro in first person feels real, and if you dont understand why your falling in corners or whatever its simply cause you dont ride and race motocross, thats the reality of it.
Hey man, so what is your best overall motocross game from all the different series like mx vs atv, mxgp, mx bikes, etc???
Thank you for the list, appreciate it 😊
This and some of your other videos pretty much got me into milestone mxgp games.
Pro 100%, thats why its still over $50 onsteam also its 15 gb and the newest one is only 15gb, kinda a shame really.
MXGP 2019 is the best of all, with a huge difference.
@Jack Messina yea same
yea there is no rolled jumps
Bro shall i buy it on xbox one
@@42mx85 bro shall i buy mxgp2019 rn?
@@dmmz3534 Sure
MXGP Pro has the Best 2 Stroke Sounds and I Still Have this Game
I ordered the game from GameStop did I make the right choice or should I have found a different MXGP Game?
Mxgp 3 was so fun the bike felt like it was floating around track a lot tho
Do any of these work in VR? Are there any VR motocross games anywhere? Thanks
I do badly wish glen Helen was in mxgp2020 it’s such a good track or even like pala or something
Red bud would be the best with larocos leap
I am new to motocross games I am only familiar with mx vs ATV all out and I would like to know why they did not talk about mxgp 21 which is the newest
How did u get those graphics and what bike is that
The main problem I have with gp3 is that the Hondas are a bit under powered compared to the other bikes, and the Ktms were way out of the other bikes leagues.
Is mxgp 3 60fps on ps5?
MXGP 3 is the only game I have a platinum trophy for, that's saying something.
20 and 21 have blown me away tbh.. but they're also my first games
Have you played mxgp 2021 version
Thanks for your vidéo ! Wich one IS the most arcade ?
Pro is probably the least. All the rest are pretty similar. I think MXGP 3 has a great balance. You can also choose to have realistic or standard physics. That will give you more control over whether or not it feels more arcade.
Which MX game has the best soundtrack ( that you play while racing) and which mx game feels most realistic ?
As far as sound track, I really don't know since I don't play with music on. MXGP Pro was solid for a bit more realistic.
What should I buy between mxgp 2019, mxgp 3 special edition, supercross 3
MXGP 2019
I completely agree with this list tbh.. Although I would put MXGP2020 first I think
I agree, everyone hates on 20 but it seems more challenging and I am enjoying it alot. I waited after all the issues and just got it last week. I am having awful lagging/freezing issues when it rains. Other than that I like it! I have all of them except Pro
@@joedavidjarvis7617 better to buy gp 2020 or mxgp3?
Mxgp 2019 has probably the most realistic physics so I really like it
hahhahahahaha, no free rotation in the air, no ruts, and sliding everywhere REALLY REALISTIC
@@qdn7720 do you ride a dirt bike? The free air rotation in games like supercross 3 is way too much, you can't do that in real life. Also if you ride on a track without ruts and you go full throttle all the time with a 250 or 450 you probably will slide more than you do in the game
And for the ruts, there aren't neither in the others mxgp
@@nicholasbarbieri3566 in mxgp3 you have some ruts but i would more like to have more rotation than nothing
@@nicholasbarbieri3566 and in real life you dont have flat tracks without ruts
Am having D3D error crash in launching MXGP 2021.. pls help me out..
that is very good game everyone can enjoy when play this game
I was waiting for u to do MXGP Compact
My list 1 being the best and 6 being worst
6. Mxgp 2
5. Mxgp pro
4. Mxgp 1
3. Mxgp 3
2. Mxgp 2019
1. Mxgp 2020
They are all great games and it’s close between them all but this is how I’d put them 👍
I wish they had older bikes in this series like 1995-2010 like I grew up around and saw on TV
Gave me a bad taste and only way I’ll try another mxgp is if I have the chance to do so for free.
agreed, on point... 🤙
I just downloaded one of them on computer on steam but it does not launch
2019 is the best for me. 2020 was a disappointment.
I liked 2019 spent 90 hours in it but I also enjoyed first person in 2020 except I only got 30 hours in it anyways best mx game I played is mx bikes where I have 100 hours
Which one feels more similar to Supercross 2? i really enjoyed Supercross 2 physics.
All milestone need to do is take MXGP3 update the tracks, teams and all that and maybe up the graphics a little bit but I think the game looks ok as it is but would look awesome with updated graphics.
Why cant glen helan be in mxgp2020 its such an iconic track from America
It’s not raced anymore
It’s because mxgp is a European race program not American
@@rmichaud17 well why was it shown on this vid on mxgp 3 smarts
@@rmichaud17 Glen Helen was raced in the MXGP series lol they racce all over the world kinda.
Mxgp 3 is my favorite overall still
Is this better then mx vs atv series
No
any chance they do a GASGAS DLC for super cross 4? obviously it’s way too early to tell but
Gas gas is in mxgp 2020 so i don't see why they wouldn't put them right into the game
The first person is unreal in 2021
MXGP 2019 is my favorite because it's the most realistic feeling and the ladt one with track rut making. MXGP3 is 2nd for me. MXGP 2020 is the worst one.
MXGP 1 has so much Potential
Its is so much more as it looks like
The most realistic one than other mxgp. The physic, bike, including the track.
