    Even as someone of Jamaican decent, I REFUSE to hate on this guy... He was and is a FANTASTIC talent with a lot of class and humility too- not to mention his open stance on doping.... He could NOT be touched in 2006/2007... But then Bolt came a long.......
    Props still Tyson!

      This comment didn't age well considering he popped for roids. I did hear, though, that he blamed someone else

    Its insane how many sub 19.66 have been run since then.

  • @rcaddict72

    some weird stuff said by the commentators in this clip..."best fields ever assembled"...err, not even close..."tyson is on cruise control..." err.. again no, he was going all out and maybe couldve gone 0.02 faster but he was foot to the wall...spearmon messed it up again..as usual. coming home late virtually never works..the judgment to get it right is like picking a winning lottery ticket.

      Usain Bolt was still mostly unknown at that time. Powell and Gay were the 2 main guys in the mid 2000s. Bolt announced himself to the world in 2008, and the rest is history.

  • @ewaf88

    That was a dazzling run by Tyson because he'd had to run the semi final just 2 hours and 20 minutes earlier (20.15).. With a days rest and a tail wind I'm sure he could have run 19:31

  • @BreuckelensFinest
    @BreuckelensFinest 5 років тому

    Wait a second, Tyson Gay shouldn't have ran that fast & beat Wallace Spearmon because he's shorter with shorter legs! Ah yes, that's right, height has nothing to do with speed! Ah Doy Hahaha

  • @tr4ckst4r
    @tr4ckst4r 13 років тому

    @raoulhery Does this statement have to be made in every video where Tyson Gay runs well? It's annoying as hell, and even more so when this video is related to the USA T&F championships and not an international meet (where Usain would even be relevant to the event)...
