That there’s a brilliant piece of kit. I remember pickin stones as a lad, but nothin like what you’ve got there. Never knew such a thing existed. What a time saver.
It says a lot for PTO guards that you have one fallen apart on a new machine ! Very interesting machine and another great video ,love that "god only knows " tune. It will make grand stuff for drainage stone ,I bet you will be hearing it clattering away in your sleep🤣
Top 5 worst jobs on our farm times gone by 5. Graphing silage at the pit before push off buckracks 4. Footing turf at the mountain 3. Pulling beat 2. Gathering potatoes by hand 1. Gathering stones. And people pay to go to gyms now . I'd like to see them do any of these. There's a machine for them all but one. You guess ? Great machine Phil but as my father who's 93 and well, says if the stones smaller than your fist let it lye lol
Cracking job with the stone picker and well done on the purchase of a stone plucker 😅. Recon some cameras wouldn't go a miss on the picker though to keep an eye on things... I vaguely remember helping cart stones off of a stone picker at one point using a 2850 jd and dump trailer think it was a fendt turbomatic on the picker which had an elevator to load the trailer with stones.... that was about 30 years ago 😮🤣 time flys.. stay safe 🏴
Seems to do a right job in fairness. Noise of it though!! Definitely look into that proximity sensor for drum and close the window or you'll go mad from the banging!
Looks a great machine for clearing stones , as you say back breaking work no one wants to do. Wondering if an update on it would be to fit some shallow Tynes in front of the rotor to lift stones pushed in by tractor tyres? Good video Phil, hope you get some work for it👍
Is the harrow wider or the same width as the picker because you could but a new bracket and the back of it and run it on the front of the tractor infront of the picker
That pile of stone has a value that you can deduct from the life cost of the machine doing work on your own land. Useful stone that too. Very interesting stuff.
Hi Luv Phil nice way to save the old back if you went round all your fields you'd gather enough stone you could build a shed I know you have,nt the time but you could get another driver, just a thought, and good vids as always and loads of pigs hurrah
Good man Phil, that's a serious piece of machinery. Well ware and best of luck with it and your new spring harrow. Takes away alot of back breaking hardship in the field. 👍🏼
I'm far from a farmer, but growing up the field behind me used to get destoned every year before planting spuds. At the time they had a machine that resembled a potato harvester that used to go up and down while emptying the stones to one side, constantly to left or right of ya get me until eventually on the last row they are spat into the ditch or whatever boundary line there was. As it went it also made drills for the planter behind it. Its 25 years, but far as I remember it was alot quicker, less noisy & didn't have to constantly empty it. As I said, I'm no farmer do I'm sure I'm completely wrong 🤣🤣
Goodman phil, great machine done great job on the field, great now you will have stones for shed base and possible gate ways, hope u get alot work with it, keep videos coming
Great video, levels the land nicely as well as picking the stones… will be interesting to see a trailer drawing the stone away allowing the machine to stay picking away.
Farmer Phil, great investment on those stone pickers machine shame. You haven't a conveyor attachment for transferring the stones to a trailing hopper, but I guess you leave and learn. Great video, and it's nice to see the family, too, take on the channel, take care, and stay safe 👍
Doubt it. Then he would have to join the real world of business. With road diesel, higher insurance, safe pass, safe work statements , ppe Etc etc etc etc .farming flys well under the radar
Looks like it is a littlle too wet soil because you have to much dirt in your stonepile for that we like on my farm we drive an Elho scorpio 550. And about sensor for the drum i dont see a need for one you hear straight away if something is wrong, if its quiet its blocked.
That there’s a brilliant piece of kit. I remember pickin stones as a lad, but nothin like what you’ve got there. Never knew such a thing existed. What a time saver.
As a Finn one way to use stones is to make new roads with those. But i think you have already plans with that....Nice to see those...👍
The stone Picker does a fine job! And the stones will make a good floor for the building you plan to build.
Great video loved the sound track we were watching in bed. Those burgers looked amazing our favourite farmers in the world 🌎.
Mighty job Phil and Liv, serious machine, well wear and Best of Luck🙏👍
What a brilliant piece of kit, the field is so clean and a nice finish with a lovely tilth.
finnish engineering
Great to gather up the foundation for the machinery from the fields! Lovely outfit with 99 up front!
That best machine ever for picking stone . No more back breaking stuff .. and stone come in handy for drainage work too..
Great video Phil. PTO guards and the hub cap on a new machine ? A bit naughty. Nice to see the size of the stones it picks up 👍👍Good luck.
It says a lot for PTO guards that you have one fallen apart on a new machine ! Very interesting machine and another great video ,love that "god only knows " tune. It will make grand stuff for drainage stone ,I bet you will be hearing it clattering away in your sleep🤣
Definitely a good investment phil. Done a cracking job. Keep up the good work.

Would argue pulling ragwort out the ground is worse than stone picking

You’ll have to wear ear muffs if you keep that back window open Phil, you’ll be deaf as a beetle if you don’t
Huhh what??
Yeah what
Looks a great machine for clearing stones , as you say back breaking work no one wants to do.
Wondering if an update on it would be to fit some shallow Tynes in front of the rotor to lift stones pushed in by tractor tyres?
Good video Phil, hope you get some work for it👍
With filling around 10 euro a ton the cost of hiring you in wouldn't be bad . Great machine.nobody likes picking by hand.
Another great video the stone picker is a nice bit of kit Phil 👍👍👍
Nice Video of picking up stones Philip Keep up the good work
Watching you now Phil + grassman Watching baling in newzealand ext ... best regards picking stones 👌
Fairplay to you Phil. Investing for the future.
That’s a very good machine the best of luck with your new machine
New machine does a fantastic job, and gets you plenty stones for making a hard standing or to fill some wet and squishy gateways
Great machine. We are waiting on our new one coming from Hanlon Machinery also. Will hopefully save the manual labour!
Is the harrow wider or the same width as the picker because you could but a new bracket and the back of it and run it on the front of the tractor infront of the picker

Yep your dead right, it all adds up, if it’s going to be used again…. Could do with the stone picker Phil in Kilkenny for 2 hours 😂🤣
Some yoke save back best luck with it
Weird to see Finnish machinery abroad, really cool!
Torille!
Need dome dynamite to crack up that large stone my neighbor cracked up a very large one so he could haul it away, so no machinery damage anymore
Impressive bit of kit you’ve got there ! Very useful
First time ever watching.
4:30 👀👀
Shaft cap very important. As Dirt is contaminating the joint #Halflife 🙊
Best of luck Phil serious machine. Any thing is better than picking stones by hand.
Here Phil lad come on down here to kildare😊
Unbelievable piece of kit Phil definitely a good investment 👍🏻

Nice to see your new machine working well
Best of luck with it🤠

Great machine,! Bount te pay for itself quite quickly, especially in Scotland or Ireland, cos England don't know what stones r, lol
Great video Phil jaysus she’s some yoke a super machine I hope you get loads of work with it
Looks like you have a field of stones with a little bit of soil. Maybe turn it into a pasture or hay field.
Awesome !
Goodman phil, great machine done great job on the field, great now you will have stones for shed base and possible gate ways, hope u get alot work with it, keep videos coming
Thats a great bit of kit you have plenty of power on the 6499 for it, nice to chat to yourself Liv and father Phil at the Roscommon ploughing today
Great video, levels the land nicely as well as picking the stones… will be interesting to see a trailer drawing the stone away allowing the machine to stay picking away.
Great video Phil.
Back in your great grandpa days the kids would have done it how times have gotten worse and better have a great day mate
Looking good fp sir hope your family well
That is a super job well done

Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼
Serious job, good luck with it
Sure beats three kids and a loader tractor ! 🤣
Great video 😊
No wonder there are all those stone fences ..
Great machine... any chance if I follow you around for the summer with a trailer I can have all the shones you pick?!!!!
Farmer Phil, great investment on those stone pickers machine shame. You haven't a conveyor attachment for transferring the stones to a trailing hopper, but I guess you leave and learn. Great video, and it's nice to see the family, too, take on the channel, take care, and stay safe 👍
Some stone pickers I have seen leave them in a nice neat row at the side of the machine for the tractor wheel to run on later in the year.
Class job Phil
Just have to hire a small trommel to clean the stone and soil then hire small crusher perfect sub-base
A nice clean looking pekka picker
Brilliant job
Thats one good machine.
As you would say farmer Phil, some piece of kit 😂😂😂
I hope you will put a picture of that big stone up so I can see how big it is
You're a class operator Phil. Best of luck , hope you get lots of business.

@@markhetherton9959 screen right as he jumped in the 99
I couldn't see any mowers were u watching it on de tv or laptop or on ur phone
@@pauljamesfitzmaurice3192 seen no mowers either the samaz screen in the tractor gives it away
Cool
Always takes awhile toget the little tweaks worked out you will find them all out while using it also find otjer little tricks
Have to get the 3690 on the go now she's fixed
Cood u put rubber in d bin to reduce noise?
id have to rubber tip the rottors and tines as well which wouldnt last long
Them stones would make good roadways
The samasz box is back👀
Nice machine that is
That rock fence by the field looks interesting, do you know the history of it? Ps. wipe those windows down 😂
The wall was rebuilt in 2008 when we widened the lane way
Best of luck with it Phil, a fine machine
Great job phill. Be no harm advertising the stone picker into building companies/ landscaping companies for more work
Doubt it. Then he would have to join the real world of business. With road diesel, higher insurance, safe pass, safe work statements , ppe
Etc etc etc etc .farming flys well under the radar
Would ya be able to do work in cavan

Would you come to kilkenny with the stone picker
Have you still got the 590 4wd?
Surely increase forward speed phil that will reduce the small stones
Seems like a lot of dirt going with it.
Well Phil how’s she cutting😂
How much is for the stone picker
Excellent video on this. These are getting more popular. No one wants to pick stones and God seems to like making them.
Good work farmer Phil keep it up farmer Phil
Make me a mighty job at the end
How much an hour is stone picker hire? Is there a minimum amount of arces you travel to do?
Comment for the algorithm to help the channel 👍.
