Had my SV Midnight all black edition for a month now and I just love it! Had a SV 2017 before and the difference between the two is remarquable. Continue the good job guys, love watching you!
Just purchased my 2023 Rogue SV + Premium Packing in April. My Rogue has front wheel drive. I did a combined city/highway fuel test drive with 40% city and 60% highway. Total drive distance was 100 miles. I got 38.5 mph combined. All of my test drives so far have been above EPA metrics.
Being a car enthusiast and having grown up in the age of manuals and traditional autos, I absolutely detest CVTs and the like. However, we rented this car on a recent family trip and this transmission pairs up surprisingly well with the turbo 3 cyl. Minimal band effect, reacts quickly and got us seamlessly through both LA city traffic and fast freeway driving down to Carlsbad. No real complaints, which shocked me being as this is a Nissan (they haven't made decent cars for decades). Only cons are unresponsive ebrake switch, lock/unlock button (come on Nissan, join the new millenium with touch sensors!!), flat rear seats and somewhat weird front styling. Overall a really nice vehicle.
We just got a one year old 2023 SL in this color with two tone black. Had a 2017 rogue with 140,000 mikes and it was my best car ever until I totaled it. I can’t believe all the features the new one has, how beautiful it is, and how much smoother the engine and transmission are.
Appreciate you doing the measurement of the length of the cargo area with your handy dandy measuring device. The figures usually posted are of the volume, and it is difficult to get the length, which is often more useful info.
Interesting how in the USA the Midnight and SL are pretty much the same price ($300 diff) whereas here in Canada the SL is $2000 more than the SV Midnight.
Thanks guys! I think here in Europe we get the E-power model which is a kind of hybrid. Strange it is not going to be sold in the US. Love from the UK 😊
I literally get the same level of gas gauge reaching 280 miles before I refuel. I think Nissan way too optimistic on their 33MPG rating. I usually get around 26-28 in a good day.
This midnight edition looks quite nice on this vehicle. Overall, I think this latest generation is a top looking vehicle for its class, but the big shiny chrome frame on the front grill was a huge mistake. With the midnight edition, that problem is out of the picture. The interior is a bit outdated but it’s acceptable. Then again everything looks outdated to me as I have a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited.
CVT gives a different feel in acceleration. Good review, thank you guys. One question, the rear mud guard, is it always like some fire retardant material or something? I expected it to be the same material in front
There is a hybrid, one might call it a mild hybrid, and it goes by the name X-Trail. However for reasons unfathomable, this version of the Rogue - Xtrail just isn't sold in the US. So are the other Nissan e-power hybrids. The e-power Xtrail moves the power figure from 201hp to 210hp.
Correction: Nissan Rogue SV rear seats do recline. Pull the rear seat lever on either seat and press back for the recline option. The rear seat has a 60 / 40 split.
Great Job Gentlemen!! I’m going to trade my 17 Sl for the Midnight Edition! 100% I would look at the Marano however, it doesn’t have a couple things that I’m looking for… first, the gas mileage is just too good to pass up! Next would be, you cannot get the profile assist on the Marano!! Thank You!$$$.
I drove 3 different model year Rogues and they all had the same AC defect in which the fan speed dropped whenever you turned left or right. And the CVT sucked.
I would speculate that Nissan EPA fuel economy data is not matching your testing data because your using Regular FUEL verses high octane fuel. TURBO engines thrive on High Octane fuel and will suffer dramatic reduction of efficiency using cheap low octane fuels.
I don't think your driving tests fit most commuters. We deal with stop n go ..to excellerate to 70 mph in city traffic. As well as I-70 mountain traffic that needs to always pass 18 wheelers going up the passes.
Steering wheel looks sooo out of place. I can’t help but think of any 3 cyl engine durability over a few years especially here in SW Pennsylvania with the hills
Nissan has a poor reputation for mechanical quality. So they decide to engineer a 3 cylinder because it will cost them less to repair when the consumer takes the car in for warranty work.
They made a lot of changes the last couple years. They're not really that bad now, as far as CVTs go. The older ones though, like too 2019ish.... Just terrible.

Thanks and congrats on your new Rogue!

That’s not uncommon. I rented one for a week and best at 39mpg

I think the rogue is the best looking out of the competition
Looks yeah so!?
😂😂😂
Agreed

Had our Midnight version SV for 20 days now. My gas mileage is 27.5. Love the drive and new power. Don't no if its AWD or FWD. Great SUV so far.
Was it in eco mode ? Or
May I ask how much you paid for it
It should on the right side of your tailgate
Spending tens of thousands on a car and not knowing if it's AWD... just wow.
Mine came out defective. Water leaks through the roof on the right side. I've only had it for 4 months.

Thanks! That's what our thinking was as well
Great video of the Nissan Rogue!!! Great job Drew & Mason!!

It's been fun watching this channel grow! Keep up the great work guys!
Thanks! Will do! 😁
Looks pretty cool ngl. Keep up the good work.
Best for three year leasing option and no problems with CVT shift gear transmission during guarantee period.
Love this trim. The only concern is that it costs as much as the Rogue SL. I think Nissan should fix their pricing strategy.
I think it has 360 and parallel parking camera by pressing the camera button
What happened to the fog lights???
keep going THE BEST UA-cam CHANELL FOR CAR so I CAN depending ON YOU
It is a very good family SUV for sure ! 1.5L with turbo is good enough for daily use. With this price, No complaint at all
Thanks guys!

Excellent review as always!
Thanks again!
That ruler just brought back so many memories 😢
Awesome video. Thanks guys for sharing.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!

Nice looking car. I love the new video format. Great review as always. Greetings from Ghana 🇬🇭
Thank you, we appreciate that!

Probably asbestos. Nothing to worry about.

All due to cvt transmission court cases in the US dating back to 2004
I love my new car ❤❤❤❤
This color combo rocks
It’s nice! I don’t like the CVT
That’s the main reason I haven’t purchased one is the cvt
@@richardturner7185 I know right!
I will try to buy new 23' Nissan Rogue SUV.
I'm picking one up today. Excited to upgrade from a ten year old SUV

Great review guys …//about the car it’s sad for me that rogue still CVT
Thanks!
This will be my 1st SUV for me to buy bro.
it will be mine too i will buy it this year
Did I hear you right? No navigation on this ?

I got the SL 2022 , & it has way more features than this for the same price!
How you get it for $30k
The SL come with 2 tone paint? I'd like white body with black roof.
Nissan design language is love ❤
I drove 3 different model year Rogues and they all had the same AC defect in which the fan speed dropped whenever you turned left or right. And the CVT sucked.
Hey yall!
Seeing a ton of complaints about strong gasoline smell in the cabin after only a few thousand miles.
2023 Nissan Rogue SV AWD Midnight Edition!
I would speculate that Nissan EPA fuel economy data is not matching your testing data because your using Regular FUEL verses high octane fuel. TURBO engines thrive on High Octane fuel and will suffer dramatic reduction of efficiency using cheap low octane fuels.
Nissan recommends regular fuel for the Rogue
If you want the Hybrid, buy the Mitsubishi. It's a proven drive train.
Lot of vehicle for the price.
Getting terrible mpg driving like a grandma in my 23 rogue. 24mpg cuty

Wouldn't that be like painting barbies convertible black? Sometimes, ya just want to tell them......"Just Stop!"
It really looks great but a big fat NO because of the CVT
Almost every car now has cvt. Oh boy
Nissan has a poor reputation for mechanical quality. So they decide to engineer a 3 cylinder because it will cost them less to repair when the consumer takes the car in for warranty work.
CR-V has a much better value, and trust me you don't want a stupid turbo engine on anything not sports car intended, very tiring to drive
Isn't the CR-V a turbo too?
@@ChrisRobato Not the hybrid version
A 3cyl engine and CVT 🗑
It had such lag on my test drive. It was not for me…
Never buy a Nissan CVT 🤮
Older Nissans before 2019 agreed.......
They made a lot of changes the last couple years. They're not really that bad now, as far as CVTs go.
The older ones though, like too 2019ish.... Just terrible.
Not since 2019. They've gotten much better.
