When my daughter was youg we saw Comet Hail Bobb every night in New Brunswick Canada,it was Hudge and a long tail. Its the most extraordinary site I've ever seen....it was so bright and big you could literally see it move!!!❤🎉😊
My first comet was C. Ikea-Seki in 1965. Since then, I have seen 21 more comets, with C. Hale-Bop the brightest. C. Neowise in 2020 was the first one I was able to get a good photo. I was able to get some great photos of Tsuchinskin-Atlas.
At 10:30 pm I saw a star that had geysers exploding from it that were white and red in color. I couldn’t believe what I saw! The coolest thing I’ve ever seen
Neowise was the best comet I have observed. I was up high on the north face of Mauna Loa. T-ATLAS was my second best. Viewing from high on Mauna Kea, all alone. I'm lucky to live on Hawaii. Aloha!
I've always loved my job because it allows me, among other things to travel offshore for weeks at a time and the absolute stunning night sky at 200 nautical miles from shore.. breathtaking is the only word I could manage... ❤
I tracked Halley's comet during 1985- 86. But earth was in a bad position when it would've been at it's best. I got a few nice photos of C2023 A3. Hale Bopp was the brightest I've seen.
Still don't understand why I was not able to see the comet here in Hawaii. We had un-obstructed view of the entire West side of the ocean while looking over perfectly clear skies 30 minutes before and almost 2 hours after sunset around mid-Oct and NOTHING. WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
As part of the Jupiter family, this comet's orbit is under the strong influence of Jupiter's gravity, which can change the elements of its orbit over time. Jupiter's gravity often causes significant changes in the trajectories of comets like Tsuchinshan, so their orbits are not completely stable. This phenomenon is of interest to astronomy because it provides an opportunity to study gravitational interactions between comets and large planets, and how this affects long-term orbital characteristics 🥇🇮🇩😘🥰
Light pollution of your viewing area and the phase of the moon will almost always trump the more subtle differences between various amateur telescopes. The most rewarding long term project in my experience is the Messier series, which will give you ample opportunity to test your gear. There are many textbooks that will help along the way, but the one I found most helpful was Ken Graun's book, "The Next Step, Finding and Viewing Messier's Objects".
hello i have a question if you don’t mind. i recently bought a celestron 114az-sr, my first telescope. however when i try to observe jupiter, it only appears as a big, bright, white ball. is this a lens or telescope issue? and if it’s a lens, is it a magnification issue or a coating issue? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you for your content and time.
For viewing just the planets and moon a refrator like the ASTROMASTER 90AZ might be a good choice as a first telescope purchase. They will also probably be on sale in a few weeks. If you want a more "serious" telescope that would also be good for Deep Sky Object I would consider a 6 or 8 inch dobosonian reflector from Celestron or Apertura. I've got reviews for a few of these on my channel.
I love looking at the planets and the stars. This is great. I’m glad I found this.

One of the best for sure!!!! Thanks for sharing!

NeoWise is probably in my top three comets as well.

I have not seen this one yet, but the best I have seen was OMG Hale Bop! Without question.

I could only observe C2023 once, when it was in the early morning sky. I was blown away, this was my first proper viewing of a comet ever

I can only imagine how amazing that view is!
🌌Nice Heart & Soul Nebula View🌌
I was happy with how that shot turned out.
Thank you.
My pleasure and thanks for being a supporter of the channel for all these years!
The best comets I have seen are: Hale Bopp in 1997; Hyakutake in 1996. The runners up are Neowise and Tsuchinshan Atlas.
Exactly
Great video and Thank you for the informations.🌌❤👍
Thanks for watching!
@LateNightAstronomy ❤🌌 Welcome.
Ii really enjoy your videos. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Awesome!

Yes!!!!
NGC 281 the Pac-Man Nebula is a potential target for me might be to small for my 135mm lens though but I'll might give it a try.

I have tracked by binoculars...once in a lifetime

Hale Bop was the nicest....followed by hyacutake
Breakfast and this ✨🚀
A good combination!
Can you please make video on a 8inch dob. What can we expect from the telescope for deep sky objects

I've got a review of an 8 inch dobsonian that I did a couple years ago. Feel free to search under "reviews" playlist to find it.

What specific eyepiece are you using with the telescope?
@@LateNightAstronomy the two that came with it: a PL 9.7 mm and PL 26 mm. both give the image of a bright white ball with no surface detail
Would you please recommend a telescope to see the planets
Find a local astronomy club. They can help you.
