The MGM Controllers X2 Series Pro 800 Amp Continuous (1000 Amp Burst) 15S Capable Electronic Speed Control and the Lehner 30100 Brushless Sensored Motor is an EASY TASK when using the JCR Mounting Kit! We had JCR create a Mounting kit for the MOST POWERFUL ESC and BL MOTOR combo IN THE WORLD - and they came through with flying colors. The tolerance in the fitment could not be better.. the machining is unmatched. Although I had a few struggles without instructions.. it was truly a pleasure to assemble.

If it’s still an issue, use a center punch in the grub screw holes to make a mark and drill a little dimple for each grub screw to sit in
I love that you get something that is already jaw dropping and then turn it into something specific to what you want. The creativity, finding and pushing the boundaries, then coming up with solutions to make it work how you wanted it to work. It's a great journey to come on with you.

Forget the flat spot and double set screws.
You need a set screw pin. With a hole through the motor shaft.
Had to do this to an old thunder tiger Ducati when I went crazy and upgraded the motor. Wish I could upload a pic. But I’m sure you get the idea.

Great video. Really like the mechanical videos "wrenching". I find just as much maybe more enjoyment working on them. Cool to see just how big that thing is. When you put it on table. I recently list both legs from knee down so I dought I will get one. But still cool. You got a keeper for a wife if I may say. Snack time. My X never brought me snacks. I wonder if a belt would work better than the chain for a smooth quite setup. Probably to much work to change out?

Wow. Respect. I went down a rabbit hole trying to hit 100 mph on grass. Hit it with a truggified Typhon in the end. Was worth all the effort. I get what you did. It’s artwork in its own way. Beautiful.

Get motocross sticky chain lube. It sprays on like glue and won't come off

Something simple inside the transmission is messing up. Wondering would the spiral cut gear slipping on the shaft or something else in that general spot?

That is a cool machine you have created! I have a question. You say you are worried about your chain drive getting hot, well I am wondering why you are using grease in everything when it is all high speed gear drives and chain drive systems??? You should be using a good synthetic gear oil like Amsoil in the differential housings, the chain drive transfer case and the transmission housing. All you need is enough oil in each case so that a good inch of the bottom gear or sprocket is under oil. You will need to use some silicone to seal the all the parts of the case so oil does not leak out. You will need to drill and tap the housings to fit a 1/8 inch pipe plug to fill them and if you run a good oil you wont need to vent the case or housings either. So tipping the truck over wont cause oil to leak but from the looks of it I do not think you plan on taking your truck off road and risk rolling it over like some people do. Best of luck. Run the lightest weight oil available so it robs less power and does a better job cooling and transferring heat away from the gears and bearings. Thing is, heat is caused by only one thing and that is friction. You will not have any friction if you replace that messy wheel bearing grease with synthetic gear and chain oil. Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 is an awesome choice for your truck.
Because its not a sealed unit. Also, I switched to a Wax, and it works great :)

i run Gokart wheels on my baja dragster.. toy tyres that come on all rc cars don't cut it period. Speed runs in 5th scale.. real rubber is the only way. great video as always x

Man what a damn beast this stuff comes with trial and error like you said you are the first so you get to deal with all the little stuff on that adapter try giving it more time on the thread Lock may need the full 24 hrs with that kinda power

I think some wax chain lube spray for a dirt bike would work best on the raminator drop box chain. Also you built an awesome truck bro!!!
I think that the best part of this hobby is to brake something, figuring out what broke and how to fix it so it can run better and maybe not brake said part(s). Just so much fun.
A few other people mentioned it, but maybe that reverse lock out is the problem since that is the only difference between the two transmissions. It is ether letting the transmission slip into neutral or doesn't fit tight and is allowing the gears to separate and slip, but the gears are hard enough they haven't been damaged yet. Worth looking into encase that lock out needs a bit of a design tweak.
Speed runs aside, that motor and esc combo really has woken the truck up. It looks like it has smooth power delivery and a lot of tuning options.
I remember watching this channel when it first came out and the original logo would scare me lol

Does this center differential have slip like other 4WD’s ? Can it made to be a locked diff? I’ve seen you do that in your Axial RBX10 Ryft.

When you build transmissions like this one make sure the gears are properly shimmed and you have a good gear mesh/pattern paint the gears and rotate gears check pattern shim as needed you will be amazed how much longer the trans will last
Hey the best grease I’ve ever used is the VRP Honey grease. They call it the worlds stickiest grease and I can honestly say its definitely sticky. 10/10 would recommend especially for this heavy application.

For lubricating the chain I would use Triflow, which is a pretty thin lubricant, as a first layer. Then use Bel Ray, which is a wax lubricant, to seal it in. This combination won many championships back in my Bandolero racing days.

i think you could look onto takeing a little of the chain slack out with some plastic ( delrin ) sliders to take some of the shocks that the transmission is proberbly getting from the chain flexing under load. you could move the receiver tray up the front for a little more front bias weight. a little toe in on the front wheels for more stability at speed wouldnt hurt.
You need to get a hydraulic motorcycle lift for those haha

I really feel like they should've added a gasket to the chain cover so you can fill it with oil, just enough for the bottom of the chain to dip into.
I agree, that 100% should be an oil bath and not grease.

Hi m8 I'm a mechanic when I change c.v boots at work on the drive shafts on front wheel drive vehicles there's a grease that gets used called lithium molly grease I 🤔 but not 100% sure that stuff sticks like 💩 to a blanket and it's thin so there isn't much resistance. Think one of your gear's in the transmission has broke lose from it's shaft. Great video m8 very Entertaining

Hey there you built a proper beast there✌🏻. I was wondering about the lucas red and tacky grease i want to use to use it in a 1/8 nitro crusher in the 3 diffs that it has but is it suitable with rubber/ silicone seals in the diffs.

Also. Anyway you bent a shaft in the trans from all the torque. Maybe take them out and roll them on the work bench.
