This looked like an incredible day! Nothing beat a hike, coffee, and a lake. We did that in Colorado on our massively long hike where we went to hot springs and it snowed!

Oh I bet that was magical in the winter!

What a fabulous video guys! The hike thanks for taking it for us as well as the hot springs. Stunning video shots especially through the forest! Beautiful! ~Cara ❤

I'm glad you got to film in a national park, hopefully this video will help you get future permits to help share the beautiful national parks. Dark skies are great but I agree with the noise as well. Being peaceful and quite in nature is important.

I had to SEARCH for your content and channel. I “hit the bell 🔔 “ so that I can be alerted. Thank you for the adventure. My family and I spent a week in the state of Washington…. Fell in love, took many photos and now those photos are decorating our home in the desert 🏜️ oh Phoenix, AZ.

I think I stayed at that hot springs & I visited the Hoh rainforest.. it makes me kind of sad because I accidently deleted all my pictures during that time 😢was a graduation gift plus one of my friends came out to join too... so beautiful there 💚& the pine scent is so strong there 😄!

Haha forgetting coffee. Rookie mistake. I carry caffeine pills in my survival pouch for such an eventuality. The pills have saved me a number of times.
I'm a landscape photographer. Almost all of my hikes begin at o-stupid-thirty with me schlepping heavy camera gear up the side of a mountain in the dark, to catch a sunrise. You guys did good on this hike. Thanks for sharing!

I had no idea caffeine pills were even a thing! I'm going to have to look those up!

Hey guys! Great video ☺️ Sunrise hikes are such a fun way to add a little more adventure. Thanks for showing us around Olympic national Park. The water is SO clear! Cool to learn it’s because of the nitrogen ☺️

This is my hood! When you have more time, check out Hurricane Ridge, Enchanted Valley, Seven Lakes Basin, Salt Creek, Lake Angeles, kayak fresh water bay, hike with the dog in the Buckhorn Wilderness, Devils Punch Bowl, bicycle the Spruce Railroad and the Olympic Discovery Trail, and so much more. And that is only the north side of ONP!

    Well made video you guys!
The music, video sequence, and the intent of the video. 👌🏼
I enjoy this style of narration and “showcase” video.
If we ever get to do a morning hike, it will be worth it times 10. Which is rare if I am the one proposing it 😅

My fiancé and I were just there a couple of months ago. We loved the HOH national rainforest and lake crescent is SO amazing. We also went to forks WA for “twilight” then headed to Alaska.
    Y’all are awesome 😎

I would always choose Sunrise over Sunset -- you have to get up early but you know the sun is coming up. Hiking back to camp in the dark is not my idea of fun.

Best sunrise hike to date: Torres del Paine in Chilean Patagonia - google the pics... the towers in brilliant pink and fuscia are actually a dreamy reality for those who take off from Refugio Chileno by 4:00am - it was unreal!

I'm curious about the experience of getting a permit to film. Was it tedious? Annoying?

    • @chrisandsara

The rangers at Olympic were on top of it and the system was pretty streamlined. It's not like that for all the parks but for Olympic they seem to have their stuff together. It was super easy and fast to communicate with.

I live in New Mexico and often hike and film *nearby* its national parks.... Couldn't ever imagine needing a film permit to do so! "Land of the Fee and Home of the Enslaved"... but, hey, those bloated bureaucracies gotta micromanage us somehow; and why not get some payola in the process!

    • @chrisandsara
      @chrisandsara  Рік тому

You only need a film permit if you plan on uploading your footage to make money on it!

Actually, Lake Crescent is located entirely in the Olympic National Park.
