I just assembled my arbor press. My hands would hurt for days after making batches of bath bombs by hand. I’m soooo excited Thank you so much!

I hope it works for you as well as it does for me!! - be careful tho - I did crack a mold last month! But all in all, I think it is worth the risk! 🤗

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique have you tried getting a press plate and ram head? Might make it easier

@@thedrunkengardenernb I thought there was something like a plate I could get for it but then kinda forgot about. Thanks for this, I will see if my husband can help me with it!

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique after watching your video, I did the deep dive, lol.. if you check out RAFXLaserProducts on Etsy, he has ram heads and plates. I was going to use some silicone and epoxy resin I have here, make a silicone mold of the ram head, pour epoxy in it, then secure that epoxy piece of the ramhead to the bottom of, maybe a pringles can or something, with the bottom part of the ramhead up, and pour silicone over that, covering it with a total of 3/4 of an inch (however think you want the press plate) and if you're familiar with epoxy, my idea was to put a couple of magnetics on the first epoxy casting, so they would be part of the actual plate and sit flush, but im not sure if that would work.
Idk if that makes sense to you, or him, but if you can sort out my thought process, it seemed like a stellar plan.
I opted to just order one though, because I don't often have time without my 3 year old, so I don't want to mess with epoxy in the house... lol. Goodluck!

Awesome idea. I have a 20-ton hydraulic press in my workshop. I bet I could press a dozen at once with that.

Thanks for the video. You have a wonderful and calm energy. Did arbor press provide you with a bath Bomb recipe?

Should have watched this before buying my bath bomb press that was so expensive and came broken. The supplier then sent me a part and wants me to fix it but I am no engineer. I am so upset.

oh Eliana! That is horrible! I'm sorry that happened to you. I will say, this is an older video and I don't use my arbor press anymore. You certainly can use it but the reason I don't is that I was putting too much pressure on it and started cracking my molds.
Then it just so happens that at the conference I attended this last weekend I bought the bath bomb press. I'm a bit nervous after reading your comment! I can't believe they sent you the part and expects you to fix it yourself! That is just not right. I hope in the end you can figure it out!💕

Does it matter what type of arbor press you’re using I actually have some of these molds and didn’t know I could use them in this way?

Hi Melanie, I don't think it matters, just be sure not to put too much force on the lever. It really doesn't take much at all. I heard one of my Cada Molds crack a little once and I was kicking myself. Light pressure and moving the mold a lot lot to keep from having a pressure point is key. Thanks for your question and good luck!

I have a arbor press from Harbor Freight. What material is your molds made of? On another project I had my press for, not bath bombs. I installed a longer handle on it using a electrical connector & added a extension into that.
Great video, thanks. I can relate to the back & the neck, I'm a very young 72 year old guy. Doing this by hand for several hours in one day can really get to you.

Hi John! I use Cada Molds from Etsy for my molds. They work great, just be careful not to put too much pressure on them. I suppose you could get metal ones from the electric/air press manufactures but they are pretty salty :)
I like your longer handle idea!!

Hi your video is great, thank you so much. I am wondering what weight load you use is it a half ton or one ton or even bigger arbor press?

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique

You know J K, I'm not sure. I would think the smallest would be more than sufficient - My husband got mine at Harbor Freight, I don't think it came with any info on it and it is too heave for a box.
