The card is still fine, but I will replace mine when a 3070 or better is available and doesn't cost me a kindey to buy
Same. RX 580 died on me and I can't not play or even use my PC for months. Buying something low end is also stupid as it will cost a lot anyway. So might as well go for something new. I'll have it for years anyway probably.
At the moment I think it's worth switching to a 3060 if you come from a 2060, I don't want to wait 2 years for prices to drop to get a 3070-80. In the meantime I can save up and possibly move to one of these cards in the future.
I think its not even worth swaping. I mean 60 fps avg on 1440p is kinda sad. I rather play on medium graphics and wait for better card or for prices to go down.
My 2060 gives 2070 performance, i have overclocked it to run at 2065mhz while the 2060 in this video running at 1850mhz, you can squeeze so much more from 2060
So true. Where I live, I would have to pay an extra 400 Euros (490$) to get like 10 fps more. This difference is almost unnoticeable. The 30 series cards seem nice on paper, but their price skyrocketed because of the demand.
That's the entire point lol. The video would be useless for anyone without the framerate shown. Always funny when I see these exact same comments of people who have no idea what they're looking for or talking about pointing out or complaining about the obvious.
Which one would you recommend, MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z or PNY RTX 3060 12GB Gaming REVEL EPIC-X RGB Single Fan Edition? The RTX 2060 is about 65USD cheaper than the latter. I hope someone can help me.
At this point, I'll either wait for the 3080ti or the next series (if the RTX 4000 series becomes a thing) of GPU's before upgrading from my 2060. Pricetag doesn't justify the performance upgrade for me quite yet.

I'm not sure if thats been patched out by now or what but that would make a huge difference... IF thats what is happening in this benchmark. but you can clearly see its toggled to quality in this vid. look up some other benchmarks for cyberpunk with a 3060 and you will see what i mean something funky going on here. and on a related note, cyberpunk really isn't all that bad... assuming you dont have the console version at least.......lol. dont play the console version... just dont lmao. its definitely salvageable with some patching but also really not acceptable for release. played and finished it at launch and had at least 150 hours in the game total it really wasn't as bad as people claimed. its been patched a shitload already too but i haven't gone back to play more just yet so i couldn't tell you if its been improved much, but plan to soon.
I have a 3080 and 1440p / 165 Hz setup, which provides good eye candy - but I consider super-high fps a largely non-essential benefit. I'd challenge random people to consistently tell the difference, side by side, between 60fps and much higher, in many games. Hype, keeping-up-with-the-Joneses, and feel-good-factor are one thing, but individual needs and perceptions are something else. People may tell you that 160fps+ is the way to go, but that doesn't automatically make it so. There are plenty of benefits in GPU power besides high fps. By all means check out opinions, but only you can determine what works for you, and what's cost effective.
Ya looking to upgrade everyone that I hang out with is saying to wait 2 years you can still order them online at certain websites I think I’m looking at the MSI 3060 on my 2060 this morning I was only getting 120fps and lower I used to get a steady 130-145

Judging a GPUS worth off of just frames is something a rookie would do. They think that FPS are all that matter when like you said, there are other aspects and improvements that make these cards worth the money.
In today’s age we just see what these cards do for gaming, just the basics, just the frame rates. I want to see what makes it all tic, how it works. But you’re completely right, the ampere architecture is nothing to sneeze at and I think people should start taking it more seriously.
Compare the Turing architecture tech demo to the latest ampere architecture tech demo🤦♂️😭😭you can clearly see how far the gap is between the two, the improvements are immense.

Same. RX 580 died on me and I can't not play or even use my PC for months. Buying something low end is also stupid as it will cost a lot anyway. So might as well go for something new. I'll have it for years anyway probably.
Yep, too expensive and don't want to get old cards anyway. 3060 is the best option in the end.
At the moment I think it's worth switching to a 3060 if you come from a 2060, I don't want to wait 2 years for prices to drop to get a 3070-80. In the meantime I can save up and possibly move to one of these cards in the future.

So true. Where I live, I would have to pay an extra 400 Euros (490$) to get like 10 fps more. This difference is almost unnoticeable. The 30 series cards seem nice on paper, but their price skyrocketed because of the demand.

yeah idk why that is, its definitely not accurate 100%.... something else is at play there. a 3060 should be getting at least about 60 if not more at 1080p. there was a common bug back when i played where DLS wasn't implemented correctly sometimes if you did alot of option swaping for some reason dont ask me why cyberpunk has alot of weird ass bugs.
12 GB is going to be useful for 3D works and some games use more than 8 vram so 2060 6gb of vram is not ideal.
