- A visit to an old-age home is a life-changing experience as it is filled with emotions and sentiments. I had an opportunity to visit an old-age home as me and my friends donated warm clothes for them as winter is approaching near. The old-age home was situated in the clement town Tibetan colony in Dehradun . The visit to the old-age home was a fulfilling experience for me as I came back home with not only memories but also some valuable lessons.

Being a Hindu Kashmiri, I can resonate the pain and agony these people have living in exile like us. Humanity, warmth, compassion and love can be learnt from Tibetians. Ted, here in the USA, people take their parents to old age homes and forget about them. Us Mexicans, we are taught to take care of our parents in our homes until they die. My mother died in my home. Thank you so much for visiting old age homes and taking them slippers, pajamas, and food. I wish I was younger like 25 years old, I would go visit y ou and maybe help at a village with money. You are an earth angel. Would be nice if there would be people like you that would help their own country like Mexico where there is no help. There is very poor people there. Venezuela is in bad shape. People and animals are starving over there. Africa needs water wells. It only takes $60 to feed orphanages for a month there. Maybe you could visit some countries and give food. I shared your video with my friends on facebook and I see that 90 of my friends donated but not sure. God bless you with long life and good health.

So good to see a Mexican here. I have always been fascinated with indigenous people of Mexico, Bolivia, and Peru. I don't know somewhere I have deep affinity toward them may be in my previous life I must have been one of them (belief in previous life may a strange concept for non Buddhist). Also, when I see these people i feel we shared our ancestry as most of our ancestors looked like those people.
Living in another land, these people are taken care of their own people and more

Thank u so much rinpoche n everyone. These old people are the generations of people who worked tirelessly in the early years under the guidance of his holiness the Dalai Lama. We wouldn’t be living peacefully now if not for them. I thank them all n I personally feel every Tibetan are indebted to them in so many ways🙏🙏
So peaceful to see Ted. India has lot of such calm people in north east and we should put some more light on them. So peaceful people. Tibet should be an independent country not sure if that is possible or not but that is what everybody wants.

I think the senior citizens should have an option to live alone in the single rooms being built or to share a room with another person. The most important reason being if they fall during the night or any other incident happens, the room-mate will know and alert / get help immediately.
It gets lonely at their age so sharing a room/ having a companion to talk is good for them.
By seeing the pain on their faces makes me cry...idk where the hell are their children why are they in so much pain...i pray to God to bless them with lots of happiness 💔
They do not have kids from the beginning. These days lots of methods to give birth . Even though, having kids some older are left over in Conner of the house and abused by your own daughter in law . It’s better to live in group of old ages, most important to have a blissful and peaceful. You saw pain but Tibetan older and younger people sometimes their tearing neutrally of grateful to get blessing from Rinpoche. Rinpoche isn’t common monk , he is also reincarnation .

Tenzin I really feel gud when I see how ur own community feel 4 ur elder one. I wish this too hapn in Sikkim as wel as Sikkimes old folks relinquish under depression, hypertension and loneliness.. I never see anyone from Sikkimes doin for the old folks one. We hv ppl like Danny, Bhaichung to even richest ppl but they never think for anyone except themself.. I wish too for these orphan old folks.

Its very emotional when exchange the greetings🙏 the tibetan monks are always smiling and full of energy. I miss them and i am very grateful to have met them in my past.
