who here has watched the entire series from the very beginning? The first video was 5 months ago, Can't believe how far this series has gone since it's beginning.
I actually don't mind waiting for the more well thought out episodes. It's more interesting to see time lapses and actual progress instead of an hour of back and forth. I also think your narration is a lot better when you are organized and "on a mission" to complete something.
Don't know if anyone mentioned it. Drop a palace extension on the island within reach of yr power plant and have it boost the range and then yr all set. EDIT: The engineer island looks awesome and that should fix yr power issue, so you won't have to wreck it, lol. Also, the advanced coffee roasters, I take all the extra beans back to the new world, saves me space and workforce there, cause I use coffee beans to make chocolate too.
@Dyanosis yep, sure did, do know the difference, rly just don't care. People online today just make up words and YR worried about this? lol. Take deep breaths man, cause the world out there sucks, far worse than this! I used to type it all out correctly and be a grammar nazi for your and you're and there and their and they're, but then I realized, nobody cared or was smart enough to even understand. Plus, the only person getting upset was me. So, now I'm just a mostly lazy typer, just like everyone else.
I don't mind waiting a few days longer for a higher-quality episode. I. loved this one and I love what you doing with the whole series mate. And by the way... 17:20 I also would love to see you doing a planet zoo let's play. It would be amazing!
If you shorten the vertical part of the “T” shaped mall area you could move the bank building closer to the shore you’ll be able to put in your electric power building more in the center of the island. I think. LoL
I love your play and building style, so relaxed and not hell bent on taking over the world like other UA-camrs. I like how you take the time to make towns and even industry look good
love the layout of the engineer island! someone else mentioned if you shortened the "T" you might fit the gas power plant behind it, definitely worth a look.
Hey man, I love the work you're doing. And I really love the detail that you put in the districts and that you spend so much time thinking about the best and most beautiful way to put everything. All my support and very good content. 🙌💪
There are four items that produce electricity: Angela "Meg" Iver, The Polyvalent; Prof. Ram Devi, The Bundle of Energy; Seraphim Papadikas, The Window Dresser; and UltiN8 Power Matrix. The last one is the one I think is most likely to actually effect residences, as the others have a description that it will "provide electricity only to buildings that can normally be affected by power plants"
Hey Darren, for the sand mines and fisheries and all... Rather than doing them back to back, you could try doing face to face such that their harvesting areas overlap, so u don't need as much space
Loving the series! Regarding power in crown farms, If you are using a power plant, you can extend its range using the Welfare Department policy from the palace / local department but not sure if this effects the gas power plant at all.
Your neighborhoods look great! (Btw, you can extend the reach of power plants by using your Palace- Local Department and utilizing the buffs that extend range for power plant)
The range of all public services(both The old world and Cape Trelawney) will increase with the increase in attractiveness of the island where the Palace is situated
Maybe you could try to blend different types of buildings and districts by bordering them with large boulevards? Plop down a neat row of the biggest trees you can find and have a road in the middle, maybe with some stalls (and bus stops) and different cultural features. Like broadway in NY or La Rambla in Barcelona. Cheers dude, keep up the great work!
New Island looks awesome. As the palace with powerplant boost was already mentioned, I'd just recommend the decrease the working conditions for the wind mills. Didn't try it yet, but I hope, this would reduce the input as well.
with docklands and Crown Farms, you might want to put a mini city on the coastline of whatever group looks best (engineer or investor maybe) so its not a stark contrast between docklands and the shore. or build up all your industry along the coast where docklands are.
It might look good to add some more to the beach of the engineer area. It feel it might look kinda weird to have the large engineering buildings right next to the water.
In the next update they will add a queue list to the Research Institute. And about the power issue in the bottom left of the Engineer island, why dont you transform that zone in a park?
It isn't very weird for statues to have a stone socket whilst standing in the grass. Most of them do in parks aswell. I don't think it looks weird in game either. Things besides statues are a bit weird I agree.
Hi, i would like to give a sugestion 4 polution & minening related building to put in the foot of a mountain in crown falls islandand train track to go to all 3 lil island/city one 4 each. This is just my sugestion if its dont look good or not to ur liking feel free to change it or dont folow it at all cuz ur city is already look good, thanks. Btw sorry 4 my english its bad i know
maybe your gas-powerplant reaches the corner if you change place with the warehouse next to it? A street crossing the "T" might also work... every corner reduces the range a lot. there is an item (grigor the geologist, can be bought at eli) providing electricity for the sand mines an giving tons of extra pearls... All green/grey/blue plants can be bought at kahina or isabel btw... I really like your new engineers-district, the other manhattan-style islands and the new "grain-village". But: Why are you starting to build the industry before upgrading all engineers? you'll have to control/change everything again within 3 episodes -.- And it's hard to watch how complicated you are upgrading your houses... Just build a temporary marketplace/school an upgrade them in place instead of moving every house around a 100 times ... One more tip: If you connect all your islands (especially the empty ones) with the "worker-harbour" you'll have all the unused workforce gained by the expansion-bonus combined on crown falls...
I think the coffee is getting delayed since you upgraded 2 ports to deal with specific products only, and the remaining port is getting backed up with all the local trade and that delays coffee. Maybe :D
Hey Darren, i don't see any power lines on the roads, is that an option or a mod? btw, great series a watched every episode from the beginning, this is the best anno series on youtube!
should I be more concerned that you can apparently casually tell your students 'we want to source a legendary Kraken' and they will just do it? I get science is being adventurous in this era, but you're sending them to dive down and capture A KRAKEN!
send the Dante on a 3 star pirate hunt expedition, it makes it super easy plus why not really? you don't use your military ships nearly enough so why not make them become pirate hunters?
Are you throwing coal overboard if the arctic is full? It seems like you were swimming in coal and now it's a bit of a shortage. Love your building style - I've tried incorporating my trading post into my docklands and haven't been able to get it to work. I really wish the trading post could be put on a road at sea.
I agree with other comments. I believe your decision not to upload was judicious and correct. I’m sure given your general rigorous adherence to your schedule that it was not a blasé decision.

if you wanna use that flour in crown farms you can make a bunch of bakeries and there are characters you can get to produce chocolate as a biproduct
i super love having this on Sunday before bed. Cheers dude!
Kick of the week with an episode
of ANNO 1800 by Darren... love it!! 💖
Them close shots of those lovely buildings, gardens and zoo... love it 😍
Perfect Playlist to watch a chill Anno series… even after 2 years! Thanks Darren ❤

@26:00 Brutalism, is the architectural word for repeated patterns or uniform structure design.

Usually I loose interest in letsplays after about 10 episodes. And here I am, looking forward whole day to watch s02e33.

Another awesome time lapse! Surely it will be your trademark of your channel!!!

I notices that you didnt up load on 420 love it hahah to bad i didnt havé a vidéo for my bday hahah
Doesn't adding the Palace thingy on Crown Falls increase the range of the power station?
! You got it!
Walk around your gardens, zoos, etc.! I want to see how they look close-up ^_^
11:50 just a guess, but you might run out of coffee, because you take too much to the artic and dispose of it there?
Cannot wait for the ability to toggle the base tile between paving and grass. I need an avenue with trees and lamps that blend better
According to ANNO 1800 UNION - Tourist DLC - on May 25th at 6PM CEST (12PM EDT)
Pretty sure there is a Palace choice that extends the range of electricity in your city. City Wide Web Act

......Hemp, big fan......! Hahahahah, me too, my friend;) I'm from Holland :)

Love the Engeneer Isle. But why didn't you finish the Artisan Isle first, then the Engeneer Isle and then see what you have to produce for them?
I think the coffee is getting delayed since you upgraded 2 ports to deal with specific products only, and the remaining port is getting backed up with all the local trade and that delays coffee. Maybe :D
Hmm maybe I’ll watch it and keep an eye on it to check
If you use your fashion designer, you wouldn't need the import of cotton!
1:03:07 This women was changing cotton to wool
Hey Darren, i don't see any power lines on the roads, is that an option or a mod?
btw, great series a watched every episode from the beginning, this is the best anno series on youtube!
Its an option in the settings, came with a free update about a year ago!
Hey Darren, you never set up brass for the glasses.
YES
should I be more concerned that you can apparently casually tell your students 'we want to source a legendary Kraken' and they will just do it?
I get science is being adventurous in this era, but you're sending them to dive down and capture A KRAKEN!
Oh Darren, you and your big "man bush". Do go on...
send the Dante on a 3 star pirate hunt expedition, it makes it super easy plus why not really? you don't use your military ships nearly enough so why not make them become pirate hunters?
Why a public mooring leading to a bank? How about a country fair and zoo in Crown Farms?
Are you throwing coal overboard if the arctic is full? It seems like you were swimming in coal and now it's a bit of a shortage. Love your building style - I've tried incorporating my trading post into my docklands and haven't been able to get it to work. I really wish the trading post could be put on a road at sea.
I’ll have to check but I don’t think I’m throwing it

Great!
Get more range of your power plants with a local department
