There's an INSANE amount of luck involved, and a lot of these types of runs (like those sub 150 science runs, stuff like that) come down to luck, knowledge of the game, and just abusing mechanics as hard as possible to overcome the disadvantages you get vs the AI on harder difficulties. I'll put together a failed run compilation after I'm done doing the China pack stuffs for those that are asking~
For someone who is pretty casual at Civ, and doesnt even want to bother with deity, building all wonders even on easiest difficulty sounds like a challenge. I'll say you played really well, if you will be able to pull it off. :D
as a long time civ V enjoyer and recent civ VI enjoyer, wonder spamming has always been my favorite playstyle and im glad to see its possible on the highest difficulties

Honestly just getting the first 4 wonders built simultaneously while building infrastructure, and civilian units is impressive enough to hang your hat on lmao
Love me this type of videos which involve some type of cool challenge. Please consider getting all the tech and civic boosts in an intended way (no tribal village, wonder, great person or spy boosts unless it is specifically said to boost it that way). Would love to see that one too.
After watching this video two months ago i wanted to try this challenge. Well, two months later I now proudly say that I indeed finished that challenge successfully too. It took 177 turns, a part of my soul and my sanity.
His placement of it bothers me. I know it doesn't really matter that much, but he used one of the Uluru boosted tiles. Every time he went back to that city it bugged the optimizer in me.

Turn 100 and the highest science AI against you is barely over 100.... gimme a break, man. Weak. I just played a game at turn 100, and an AI had 236 science. Also, VERY few barbs, and no attacks by neighbors. Something weird is going on...
I easily crush diety every game but did not think this was possible without save scumming - hard to know which wonders are being built. Amazing job. I also like the faster play through with voice over. Lastly, your pronunciation of anansi- which I think is accurate really sounds like “a nazi”. 😂 thought civ added something new for a second.
Well played, this was a ton of fun to watch! I'm curious about your choice for Industrial Golden Age -- by that point the game was pretty much over, but would Heartbeat of Steam and its +10% production on wonders have sped up the finishing time by a turn or two? It seemed like you were in a position where you didn't need to worry too much about plundered trade routes (though the peace of mind and the extra gold is nice too).
I was doing a search, the other day, looking to see if anyone managed to build all wonders. So it's nice that you successed . I'm also surprised that there's not an achievement for this feat.
This was immensely satisfying! Especially the convergence of getting the last wonder and winning on the same turn! I imagine it was very frustrating just to get to the winning game, but I’m really glad to see it was possible!
Really impressive. I would have liked though to see the whole building animation since there are wonders I never do (either because they are bad (Minakshi Temple) or impossible to get on deity (Machu Pichu). Really amazing still!
I think the most impressive thing here is actually how engaged you are in a post-commentary - did you script your commentary or could you improvise off of the recording?

Since china is my favorite civ this video is really fun to watch!!, but also im a little triggered since i tried this challenge many times on EMPEREOR diffculty and failed every time, because of three wonders: pyramids, machu and oxford university, the AI simply goes hard on building that specific wonders, good on you!!!, next time doit whitout monopolies, thats why you won almost too early XD
47:30 Yeah double scout are the best strategy imo unless you play heavy water maps where barbs or AI can spawn close to you and/or there is little on land to scout. Great video btw.
Strangely enough that's only possible on Deity. Otherwise cultural victory comes much sooner than all the wonders are built. That was a great game with good narrative, thank you!
You can search for each in the steam workshop like quick deals and better trade screen for trading and advanced map racks and advanced policy cards but they may need newer or multiple downloads to work as I can never seem to get the policy card mod to work but the advanced trade screen and map tacks always work :)

Then you write that the AI may not spawn with desert in 1/10 games as if that's a direct counter to what I stated i.e. you don't need to beeline because the AI can spawn without desert.
Saw a spiffing brit video where he used this strategy but on marathon speed, and he won a culture victory before the Renaissance because the wonders were coming out so fast nobody had time to make defensive culture. He was actually shocked by the sudden victory screen. If anyone does want to try it, I'd recommend at least epic speed, because this leader's power is stronger on slower speeds.

I'm a deity level player, but I often reduce difficulty if I just want to build and not caring about challenge. I usually never finish games anyway.
You may wanna disable culture victory or Just One More Turn for a different victory type :)

I’ve done something similar, but on deity epic speed, which I think is slightly more do-able and less RNG based.

It's possible to get Pyramids on deity but you usually need to beeline.
