This somewhat explains why the various peoples of Latin America tend usually be stereotypes as as being attractive. Especially the women. Anecdotally, a lot of the facial features considered to attractive in men, define jawline, almond eyes, and especially high check bones were very common where I grew up (Spanish Caribbean), so finding out that those traits are considered desirable was a bit of a shock to me. Most people from the region tend to be heavily mixed.
I'm a dude. My mother was a white passing Latin woman, while my father was African American. After a DNA test, found out that my ancestry originated from atleast 8 countries in modern North and sub saharan Africa, as well 10 different countries in west, south and northern Europe. As well as some indigenous admixture from the Americas. Just to give you an anecdotal example of how much genetic diversity there is in Latin America.

Literally went my whole life thinking I was Latino/Hispanic mixed with white but I found out today that I’m 78% White and the last 22% is African and Western Asian. Hate it but it makes sense why no matter how pale I get I still have a bronze undertone like I was white and got a light tan, and why my face looks 16 - 18 despite being 23. I guess I like the light tan because I’m just permanently 1 shade lighter than Meeks.

I'm Puerto Rican and we are mixed with European, African and native taino. The mixed race theory doesn't work as most Hispanics are mixed race and lots of them are not that attractive. It depends on the genetics of the parents, either in them or their ancestors which can make its way into the child. Go to any city with lots of Hispanics you'll see the same percentage of people who are attractive compared to the rest. Usually about 10 percent are above average and rest are average with the bottom 40 percent below average. Seems to be how populations maintain homeostasis so it can keep reproducing at a sustainable rate.

It really depends on who people see as more attractive when comparing a non mixed guy and a mixed guy of the same tier. The pattern at least my understanding of History the pattern that we see is the civilization expands find its limit. I hate being mixed race. I was always seen as unattractive, weak, or just a joke. No one would belive me when I introduced my Dad. My dad to this day has people laugh when he shows my picture. My parents divorce and hated eachother for years, and pushed that hate into myself. I was raised in a world of hate and selfishness and all alone.
