I think Bill is at the top of the list of my all-time favorite guests on this show. He has seen so much and tells it in such a comical manner. A true gem.
We need leaders like this fine soldier nowadays in the Army! Doesn’t beat around the bush!
"I didn't tell you I was a donkey man, did I?"
I fucking love this dude.
Fascinating interview... This man has lived a number of lives, and has a barely believable resume... And he's still giving back to the community through his academic efforts. "A scholar and a gentleman."
Yet another living legend with a rapier wit. Keep it up
Incredible man. Precise articulation, I love to hear it. Lovely stories, fearless American hero and a bright man!
The way he speaks and his voice reminds me of the colonel in Full Metal Jacket who reams out Joker for wearing a peace symbol with ‘Born to Kill’ on his helmet. So funny. This guy is awesome.
This guy is low-key funny funny 😂💯💯💯💯
Thanks gentlemen!
If Michael Connelly doesn’t hire Bill to voice his Bosch novels, he is entirely missing the boat! I’d listen to Bill read the LA phone book! What a throwback to the 40’s and this interview was about 5 hours short! Awesome!
I’ve read Jack’s articles about this program and they’re absolutely fascinating. I just hit the play button however, I know this will be an absolute gem. Thank you gentlemen, for consistently kicking out some of the best content found anywhere.
Cheers

Cool career.
Baumholder, GE was my first duty station too lol
I always read the incursion into Cambodia and laos (at the same time Cambo was launched in 1970. Mabey Im wrong. My counselor was in the 5th sfg. in Vietnam. Over the course of our friendship he started teling me stories about stayinpg in SF until the early 90. We all knew special forces were all over South n Central America. From protecting packages of coke, to training popular forces and fighting FARC guerillas. These are the stories Id like to know more about but are still classified. His last mission he got caught assassinating some POS THE army told him to. He got caught and did 25 years in California prisons. He has a huge insignia of the 5th Sfg airborne on his chest. He got out 3 years ago, wrote a book, and is a counselor.
I miss Mott Lake
is that similar to running over the boarder with nukes, like brandon admin?
when did that happen?
👍
What bottle of scotch is that?
There's no reason not to talk more about the green teams jumps across the border it's public knowledge at this point, and most 'targets' are known anyway. The reason none of the targer 'lists' he said never made any sense is because the actual targets were all across western Europe, meant to delay the 2nd Echelon or destroy it. It was believed NATO would/could eventually deal with the first wave, second and following no chance. It was also well known, by the Soviets, where all our Artillery Nukes were stored and that they'd be nearly wiped out or made irrelevant almost immediately. 10th Grp nukes and teams were mobile and the Soviets were very worried about them. And no, NATO had no idea they were meant for Western Europe.
Still...no chapters. Smh
He looks a bit like Shepard
His accent is very 60's
I have to skip the intro every time it’s so cringey
That’s what makes it so good, it’s supposed to be cringy…🤣
I like it lol, I feel attacked now 😂
🎉😢⁵😅
