The salacious private life of Princess Margaret from her relationship with alcohol to her many sexual relationships and her little known connection to the Profumo affair, laid bare. 2003
She was the sister of the queen, but she was rude and reckless, not grand! Marie Antoinette was grand: she even apollogised to the hangman on the scaffold. for having step on his feet.
@@paulinecoburn181 He was posted abroad for 2 years so he couldn't see Margaret and didn't date or remarry until well after Margaret broke of their relationship
My goodness, every person in this story is dreadful. High birth doesn’t assure high character. Her chauffeur seems the most sensible decent person in the whole petty story.
That's because he was D.D. Far and above anyone else in the sordid tale. Regardless their titles or wealth. Title and wealth doesn't buy true qualities clearly.
41:24 ...wow that other dude couldn't cope with her, nearly collapsed and then ran away lol (to Turkey, as you do) 42:13 then later drops the bombshell!
Also, there is this: Usually we expect that someone who WASN'T LOVED would descend into the life and decline that she did. But she WAS loved; by her father, The King, her mother, her sister, The Queen, by the country. She was loved. So lack of love was not the problem. Margaret was the problem. She was hell-bent on self-destruction, and who knows why? All we know is that SHE DID self-destruct. A life of privilege, of opportunity, of great love and potential, was wasted. That's it. It's not complicated. She was selfish, SPOILED, narcissistic. How else could her life end?
Bilinda Law-Morley They did prevent her from marrying Townsend, notwithstanding the fact that he was a high ranking RAF officer who had just been defending his country, his king and her family. Neither of her sister's children married Royals and her father had very uncomfortable family links to Germans wearing a different uniform!
It simply meant she didn't have to work like everybody else. She chose a grandeur lifestyle full of self indulgence without paying a scent but paid the price in the end with her life.
It was the possession of status that replaced what she had thought she loved. It was a decision. When you choose wrongly for your life out of wrong intentions you can’t hide from that. We can lie to ourselves, but it always shows up somewhere. Behaviour, illnesses, the choices we make and the beliefs we hold are all shaped by the after effects of human interactions. I feel badly for Margaret, that she had a textbook downward spiral.
Sounds to me that alcoholic addiction contributed in a major way to her unhappiness. In early years alcoholics are often charming, socially amusing and bright.. eventually the alcohol takes over and obliterates the personality, leaving the person depressed and non functioning.
She declined to marry Peter Townsend not for “duty to the Queen” but in order to keep her royal status and its creature comforts. That isn’t true love. That’s fleeting infatuation.
Queen Elizabeth led a life of service and duty, while her sister drank, smoked and partied. Charles has led a life of service and duty, while Andrew got up to all kinds of shenanigans. William respects service and duty, while Harry has left his country, his duties and his family. Seems to me that the Royal Family needs to do a better job at finding a purpose for the spare to the heir. History keeps repeating itself and nobody is looking to make meaningful changes.
Harry left because he found out he's not his father's son. He's the Captain's son. Charles never dared admit that. He'd never be accepted as king if he did.
I have always heard that she was an unpleasant person to pretty much everyone. But, I also heard Snowdon cheated on her often and was cruel to her. Truthfully, they were likely equally horrible.
@@misscoutts6193 Margaret wanted what she wanted, when she wanted it. Snowden was part of the 60s scene, and many women and men loved him. So, she wanted to basically "own" him. Like a pretty little object. Snowden was not a very good character either though.
She gave birth to a wonderful daughter, who remains one of the Queens favourite relatives. A simple mom who rides her bike o the shops and takes public transit. She is a talented artist as well.
Absolutely righ, I lkley her and think she is as that close to queen yet very discreet and very respectable of all royals relatives. What an irony with such pathetic spoiled mother yet her children especially the GIRL is EXTREMELY 👏 NICEC AND wonderful. It must be the work and dedications of the great traditional nanny that brought them up thank goddness for them
@ianmann64 Do not forget Princess Margaret could have done more on the worldly front but the Queen prevented that. She wanted more to do. It was thwarted.
Her tragedy was that she wanted to have her cake and eat it too, and couldn't accept that this was impossible. She wanted all the freedom of a commoner to party and have a fun time with her bohemian friends, but still expected to be treated with respect as royal when and if she desired it. She could have married Peter Townsend, but only if she gave up all her royal privilege, and became a commoner with no place in the succession, nor would her descendants have any claims on the throne. This she was not prepared to do.
@@dugebuwembo She didn't have children at the time and Townsend could have provided nicely for her. She made her choices with full knowledge of exactly what she wanted and she proceeded to live that life. I must admit seeing her in her later years was disturbing but that was the life she chose.
Margaret was NOT "unable" to marry Peter Townsend. She chose the benefits of her position in the royal family over a life as his wife. Besides the marriage would NOT have lasted had they married! She had no idea what true & lasting love is!
Having seen true and lasting love in my parents (of all things!) and subsequently lived and observed, the idea of what true and lasting love is seems to be rare by royals and commoners alike! That's no reason not to go for it, but, its not ordinary.
It’s interesting how severely Princess Margaret is judged. Unless you were in her shoes, you have no idea what type of person she was. Show some compassion!
It’s a sad wasted life. She had opportunities that most of us never would. But all that sin in her life caught up. She began to wear it on the outside. How awful, lonely and empty she must have been.
I have to say how pleased I am with most the comments, coming from all walks of life, not being taken in by the royal lustre and instead seeing this woman for exactly what she was.
Highly flawed, like the rest of us? Drunken and hopeless like many women who are horribly mistreated by their husbands? Being spoiled materially - and yes - being horribly rude and nasty to staff - but she was a highly emotional sort and heavily affected by not being able to find the love she so craved. A lot of people end up like that, only stuck somewhere crappy and the press aren't interested in making the most of it.
Margaret was spoiled and extremely promiscuas. Endless affairs and sex parties. Poor little Margaret, had to be first and always had to have her way. That’s royals for you.
@@bunnymad5049 She had amazing opportunities to do good and help people, instead she preferred to live a debauched selfish life. Many women can't marry their first love, they get over it , and without all the money and privileges that Margaret enjoyed.
She was beautiful looking - only her external qualities may have counted positively ! It may sound harsh but thank goodness she was the “spare” ... she would haben a disastrous Queen!
Gigi Tiger Not to mention an insatiable shagger. Boy..If she'd known about you with a name like Tiger, she'd have been after you like a demented, wasp seeking a honey pot. But only once. Then she'd move on! (Without asking names!) How do I know? I'm a jazz player from the UKJazz scene of the time. To my regret, I never got lucky!
@@annnee6818Only because she chose to not make her own happiness and contentment. Someone that can spread misery and bitterness like her is functionally choosing unhappiness. Personally, I feel Peter Townsend didn't dodge a bullet, he evaded a Patriot missile.
Many years ago, I sat in the Troubador, with several theatrical people, now all passed on, and at the next table was a rock star, and two rather well known folk singers... one of them, a woman. There was a photo of Margaret among the bric-a-brac that adorned the walls, and we got to talking about her. As it turned out, there was only two among us that she had not made a pass at. One of them was the camp ballet choreographer...... he expressed himself quite miffed! He said "Darlings, I wouldn't have done it, mind you, but she might at least have asked me!"
We can clearly see in this case the terrible damage of not setting limits since childhood, even more when you see the girl had a troublesome personality. She was a spoiled little monster who was allowed to mistreat everyone she believed to be “below” herself. She was already a tyrant when she was only a teenager. Neither her parents nor her sister, nor anybody else put limits to her nasty and whimsical behaviour, so then she couldn’t put any limits on herself whatsoever. Being second, third, fourth or whatever born is not a disgrace. It happens in almost any family. We must all find our purpose in life and devote it to something meaningful, but she was quite superficial and shallow, so she couldn’t find other purpose than parties and a life full of excess.

@nimbleneedle Oh, I totally agree. Margaret was notoriously nasty to people. One of the Queen's former butlers did an interview saying that he never had a "conversation" with the Queen, but that she was always courteous. Nobody could say that about Margaret. And I understand your point about American egalitarian assumptions - hadn't thought of that.
Oscar Wilde summed up the decadent, hollow lifestyle of Margaret:- "There are two types of tragedy. One is not getting what you want. The other is getting it." She was the author of her own self-destruction.
When Colin Tennant gave her the piece of land she conned him into paying for the house as well,so I was told. She was the most selfish woman .Caring about no one but herself all her life. She was never loyal to the crown. Life was all pleasure .Whatever she wanted.
Beautiful young woman, could have made a positive difference in the world. Every opportunity to be a contributing member. There has to be more to life than laying on a tropical island. Sad when self pity absorbs a life.
A few months living in a high rise flat in London...on benefits, may have given her a measure on what misery really feels like. Using her privilege to some advantage ,instead of living her whole life devoted to her bodily needs, may have opened up a path to a more contented and fulfilling existence. A completely hedonistic life, literally, bored her to death!!
Margaret left no legacy. That's the sad part. She didn't do anything good for anyone else. All she left were memories of a very privileged, spoilt, entitled, narcissistic party girl.

I watched a program years ago and the people on the island complained how she paid for nothing. She would order the most expensive food and booze to be there on her arrival but they footed the bill. No one dared ask for money. Vile woman.
Send the bill to the Crown in London. Just because she was "Royalty" what was she going to do if refused service for nonpayment? In the old days she could have your head on a plater. Somebody in her security detail surely could pay the bills if asked. Sadly another worthless elite trying to rule the world. But can't handle their own life.
@Common Sense Realist No they don’t! She was given a piece of land by a friend. It still has its original owners. Each owning there own acreage. Nothing to do with the Royals.
She wasn't the only member of the royal family like that, the royals kids have always had nannies and been packed off to boarding school, it's been that way for hundreds of years.
In life, attitude is everything! Doesn't matter if you were born royal or dirt poor. Look at her, she had everything and the end was so sad. She loved only herself and wanted to be daddy s little princess forever. I think the last boyfriend broke her because she finally had to come to the conclusion that she could be rejected just like everyone else and her princess status won't insulate her from that. After that she didn't even bother trying because my guess is she thinks is too late. Did this person ever take care of anything else other than her desire? Didn't she have kids? Maybe a houseplant even? Such a difference to her older sister who selflessly gave her all as the queen for england, a mother for human and animal and humble nature. Is almost reads like a shakespearean tale. The tale of two sisters, night and day.
She died inside the day her father King George VI died.No other man would measure up to him in her eyes. From the time she was born he spoiled her rotten and expected nothing from her as he did her sister. She could have married Peter Townsend but was unwilling and emotionally unable to give up her position and the perks that went with it. For years she got away with sad stories about being the second born child. Sadly with a little more effort she could have been a much happier person. Townsend was merely an elongated crush and she enjoyed the attention and the media limelight that came with the gossip, she saw herself as a rockstar celebrity leaving the politics to her majesty the queen; and at times overshadowing the queen in the process. Knowing all too well that the establishment would always protect her for her wayward behaviour. She eventually chose a grand free lifestyle where she didn't have to work like everybody else. She had a vengeful streak too if her advances were spurned. In the mid 60s she was introduced to Alan Bates and, like most people, was smitten by his charm and jaw dropping good looks. She invited him to a private dinner at hers (he was going to be dessert) but he politely declined. For decades after that snub she stood in the way of him receiving any honour but he finally became ‘Sir Alan’ in 2003 ( the year after her death- coincidence?) He sadly didn’t enjoy his title for long succumbing to pancreatic cancer later that same year.
i just went and looked at reviews/synopsis on this documentary and it seems this is an edited version. It was developed from an autobiographical book which included a strong suggestion that after Townsend she had a 'relationship' with an American woman, Sharman Douglas who was a talent scout/recruiter for models/film industry - so she had the contacts therefore to populate the 'popsie parties'. Prince Andrew/Epstein nothing new to them therefore - just a way of life! Lord Glemcommer had the famous 'Peacock Party' on Mustique in 1986 which included the screening of porn films. Sharman Douglas was linked to Mountbatten's son for a while and old man Mountbatten was well known for his porn collection! Somehow, through marriage, Douglas was connected to Raine, Princess Diana's stepmother - so that explains a lot to me about Diana's later emotional difficulties. John Binden - famous for his large 'doodah' was a Richardson (south of the River) as was the set up hero in the fake kidnapping of Princess Ann. That sold some newspapers! They have been friends for a long time to have control of what gets into the public domain and what doesn't. I don't think Maxwell's backstory about being the only survivor of his family from the Holocaust is true - how very convenient that no one could confirm or deny - I think he was American/English - the origins of WW2. He was connected to M.I. services. Thugs in tiaras! Socialize with them - run a mile - well done Alan Bates!

Total nonsense Mona. The British royal family [CROWN] own one-sixth of the landmass of the entire world. The Royal family is estimated to be worth well over 30 trillion pounds and perhaps as high as 50 trillion. The people fund absolutely nothing. Taxes are paid for two principal reasons. Rent to the CROWN for the land they reside on, as th people do not actually own the land, unless the land is Fee Simple. Secondly, the people are held as surety for the debt of the Government. The Government has placed the people into bondage, commercial liens have been placed against the people and their labor has been contacted to the International Banking Cartel as surety for the debt. It is on this basis the Government can borrow capital funds aka commonly known as 'money' Which it is not anything other than 'Debt Instruments' It is a type of IOU. In return, the International bankers permit some of the collected ' income Taxes' to be used for Public services, such as health, Roads, Transport .. etc.. When the service has the word PUBLIC in front of it, then it is paid for entirely out of Tax Payers forced contribution. Unfortunately, the greater majority of people have never be told how the system operates, thus allowing for government double-dipping and making the people pay for something that has already been prepaid from their taxes. The people essentially being bonded slaves do not need to know what does not concern them. Should the masses of people discover the truth, there will be a revolution within a day.

@Melissa Dunn It’s not uncommon for royal children to be largely raised by nannies, but Margaret REALLY left her two kids to the hired help. Even with all her responsibilities, Queen Liz breastfed her four children, and spent more time with them than her sister did with her two.
@Anne MacLeod True that. However, my nana (of blessed memory) was a tremendous Anglophile who seemed to have radar about which royal appeared to be spending more time sipping daiquiris on Mustique than remembering their offsprings’ names. I can only imagine what she’d make of Prince Andrew’s former friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Nana worried because Andrew was so obviously the Queen’s favorite, and she frowned over his relationship with actress Koo Stark. “There’ll be tears,” she predicted ominously.
All I can say is thank God she was only the spare. The queen was her total opposite . I also think we are very lucky that William is the heir and not Harry !
It appears Elizabeth was reluctant with the responsibility put upon her, and Margaret lived her life thinking she was better suited to the position, such an interesting dichotomy.
I wish there were recordings of Margaret singing...I've looked everywhere. She was apparently quite awful, but no one would dare to say anything until the painter Francis Bacon booed her mid-warble, and she ran off in tears.
Francis Bacon was also a nasty alcoholic, redeemed by his magnificent talent. One of the greats of the 20th C. Margaret by contrast was merely a nasty alcoholic.
If the television series “The Crown” was accurate, Princess Margaret tried multiple times to be given meaningful work. Each time she was rejected. She couldn’t work in the public sector either. She had natural talents and was capable of influencing people - all of which was going to waste. I think this all greatly contributed to the excessive drinking.
Indeed. She wanted a meaningful life & work and was not cut out for the royal life so just like anyone else the pressures & depression of an unfulfilled life got to her and caused her extreme behaviors. What I find so funny is that the SJW‘s of the world today are so sympathetic to that, when it happens to people who come from populations they like. But when it happens to a royal, suddenly it’s not OK, it’s mockable and fodder for jokes.
That is fascinating. I wonder how hard it would be in terms of the way people would treat you, as a royal, to work in common endeavors with others? Both the manners learned as a royal and the deference people would inevitably show could make things counterproductive.
Dont take anything you see on the crown too literally. They have botched many historical facts. It's more of a dramatic propaganda than it is anything else

@@NOBODY-fz3im exactly! The young Queen Elizabeth who was fated to be loyal to the laws took a fateful decision when she denied Peter Townsend’s and Margaret’s request to marry. A libertine existence and a sad one. Queen Elizabeth herself was hardly safe from being manipulated into marriage. Her uncle, Mountbatten, saw to it that his nephew Phillip of Greece became an equerry in the royal household. “Oh, Crawfie! isn’t he handsome!” was the predictable effect on a 16 year old girl.
Margaret must have been the bane of her sister’s existence. Though the Queen had sisterly love for her, I don’t doubt that Margaret was an embarrassment, and worry. It’s amazing the princess lived as long as she did what with her unhealthy lifestyle. Lungs of iron, liver of steel. Margaret had the opportunity and resources to do good things for others but instead, she choose to lead a selfish, meaningless life.
I was nine years old and living in Trinidad with my family when Princess Margaret visited in the fifties. I was picked by my father's yacht club to present her with a bouquet of flowers, I remember her as a beautiful kind lady such a pity she changed.
The only reason why she changed was because she was probably hurting inside feeling betrayed by her husband's cheating. And Margaret seeked the wrong way to get attention, it must've been hard being second best to her sister the queen.
@jeremy Lyons IKR ? I read that and was like " Umm ya'll aren't watching the same Crown as I am LOL " That entire first season was about PP (pun intended) screwing around. For a parent, who can remember their children as babies and young adults, this must have been insufferable. Just excruciating! I really felt for the (really) old woman at that moment.
The Queen mother also demanded to be present at Margaret’s funeral and bow to Margaret’s coffin; when the queen mother was dying herself and could no longer get around without a wheelchair. The press held off on filming her, and she was able to slowly stand up, do a quick bow, and sit back down. The Queen mother died only a few months later….
At a party at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Her Royal Highness sent a message across the room to say that she would like to hear Miss Judy Garland sing. The singer was appalled, both by this trivializing of her talent and by the Princess’s lordly tone. "Go and tell that nasty, rude little princess that we’ve known each other for long enough and gabbed in enough ladies’ rooms that she should skip the ho-hum royal routine and just pop over here and ask me herself," said Garland. "Tell her I’ll sing if she christens a ship first." lol Judy was always had a quick comeback!
Ironically, I have travelled on a ship she launched. It was an inter-island ferry, built for the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand. The ship, TEV "Hinemoa", was launched mid 1950s and was the first British merchant vessel launched after WW2. There was a large portrait of Princess Margaret hanging in the main foyer. The overnight trip, my first time on a ship, was from Lyttleton to Wellington and took place in early February, 1964.

She was attractive, but no way the most beautiful woman in the world, not even in England. She was about 4 foot 11 inches tall, so hardly a beauty physically and from this shows she was not beautiful inside either. The Queen must have been so embarrassed by her. The only one she loved was herself.

although i greatly admired and agree with the negative assessment of her, the idea that she had a tragic life is laughable. poor rich girl sitting in her mansion in mustique for year after year with no one to love her. she did not have a wasted life. she chose a wasted life. she did carry out some royal duties supporting charities and traveling to foreign countries representing the united kingdom. if she found her life unfulfilling she could have asked the queen for more responsibilities and she could have done more charity work. but instead she chose to be a party girl until she woke up one day as the old lady passed out on the floor of the dinner party with liquor spilled on her dior gown and her mouth reeking of old cigarettes. she was a stupid girl who realized decades too late that she was given all the money in the world and had nothing to show for it at the end.
O V H I agree completely. Just like the rest of the spoiled "royal" family. They ought to go, and they WILL go within the next 50 years, the entire ridiculous thing will be abolished.

Very true.
Worship no God before me comes to mind. She worshipped her privilege and title.
Sounds to me that alcoholic addiction contributed in a major way to her unhappiness. In early years alcoholics are often charming, socially amusing and bright.. eventually the alcohol takes over and obliterates the personality, leaving the person depressed and non functioning.

She could have married Peter Townsend but was unwilling and emotionally unable to give up her position and the perks that went with it. For years she got away with sad stories about being the second born child. Sadly with a little more effort she could have been a much happier person. Nonsense.
An opulent lifestyle full of self indulgence without paying a cent but paid the price in the end with her life.

@@MsVanorakMaxwell was born Czech real name Jan Ludvik Hyman Binyamin Hoch. What public duties did Princess Margaret carry out after having her children in the 'Sixties🤔 all very strange. Another parasite. Why do we put up with it.
It is on this basis the Government can borrow capital funds aka commonly known as 'money'
Which it is not anything other than 'Debt Instruments' It is a type of IOU.
In return, the International bankers permit some of the collected ' income Taxes' to be used for
Public services, such as health, Roads, Transport ..

It’s amazing the princess lived as long as she did what with her unhealthy lifestyle. Lungs of iron, liver of steel. Margaret had the opportunity and resources to do good things for others but instead, she choose to lead a selfish, meaningless life.
This was a great documentary. I always love listening to Noel Botham’s version of the royals as he never glossed things over.
I was nine years old and living in Trinidad with my family when Princess Margaret visited in the fifties. I was picked by my father's yacht club to present her with a bouquet of flowers, I remember her as a beautiful kind lady such a pity she changed.
I also remember Princess Margaret visiting Trinidad . We waited at the Savannah for her to drive past.
As a trinidadian I thank u for sharing your experience with us.
Who wouldn't? A loveless match, no sense of direction... Who would remain kind in a place like that😂?
@@chunellemariavictoriaespan8752 If you mean Margaret, her marriage to Lord Snowdon was a love match....
The only reason why she changed was because she was probably hurting inside feeling betrayed by her husband's cheating. And Margaret seeked the wrong way to get attention, it must've been hard being second best to her sister the queen.
“She lived to enjoy” on the backs of the working class.
How could she betray Lord Snowdrn? He had been having affairs for years before she did.
After watching the Crown and reading historical books on the British Royal Family I have a new respect for Prince Philip and Princess Anne.
Philip was a serial adulterer. Didn’t mention that in The Crown !

@@paulinecoburn181 yes they do!
@jeremy Lyons IKR ? I read that and was like " Umm ya'll aren't watching the same Crown as I am LOL " That entire first season was about PP (pun intended) screwing around. I noticed something in this video no one else seems to have commented on yet............ When Stephen Ward was mentioned, they didn't mention that one of those Royals that were involved with scandal was Phillip ( Porfumo Affair )
Don't forget it is a serial based on the royal family. Not all is the truth

He should have answered "Well, If you wait until matron comes round with your happy pills, she'll probably have your name on the list!"
What's interesting is maybe in this world they believe they are superior, but the Bible plainly says, God is not a respecter of persons. When they stand before God they will not have their money and jewels surrounding them. Those things will be left behind in this world. They will stand before Jesus naked with everything exposed. They will suddenly realize who the true royalty is!

Great story. I didnt know much about Princess Margaret until now. Glad I watched it 👍👍
Can anybody imagine her old mother's pain when she saw her on that wheelchair being in that wretched condition, looking older than herself? For a parent, who can remember their children as babies and young adults, this must have been insufferable. Just excruciating! I really felt for the (really) old woman at that moment.
Queen mother was not the kind old grandmother many made her out to have been.
The Apple never falls far from the tree marg was like her mother, a drunk and a spend thrift with a very low opinion on the People
That's Prince Harry's future

Talk about epic
That's awesome. I'm glad Judy put Margaret in her place!
The overnight trip, my first time on a ship, was from Lyttleton to Wellington and took place in early February, 1964.
wasn't there a bit of a mystery surrounding judy garland's death - bit like marilyn monroe who was so ignorant that when she met the queen she had bare shoulders/strapless dress.
Well done Judy Garland. People who no one ever say no to springs to mind.
So the RF and it’s perversions haven’t ’t changed, we just get to find out about some of them these days.
No, pinkpanther542, Moth's Mummy has made the most informed comment.
@pinkpanther542 shut up
She was attractive, but no way the most beautiful woman in the world, not even in England. She was about 4 foot 11 inches tall, so hardly a beauty physically and from this shows she was not beautiful inside either. The Queen must have been so embarrassed by her. The only one she loved was herself.
Some said she was a narcissist. Some said she was insecure and felt worthless. When your sister is QEII, it explains Margaret.
Narcissists always are insecure and feel worthless. So they were both right.

Hello, Deborah,
How are you doing today?
But that’s an extraordinary family and title.

compared to modern royalty she seems quite innocent now
although i greatly admired and agree with the negative assessment of her, the idea that she had a tragic life is laughable. poor rich girl sitting in her mansion in mustique for year after year with no one to love her. she did not have a wasted life. she chose a wasted life. she did carry out some royal duties supporting charities and traveling to foreign countries representing the united kingdom. if she found her life unfulfilling she could have asked the queen for more responsibilities and she could have done more charity work. but instead she chose to be a party girl until she woke up one day as the old lady passed out on the floor of the dinner party with liquor spilled on her dior gown and her mouth reeking of old cigarettes. she was a stupid girl who realized decades too late that she was given all the money in the world and had nothing to show for it at the end.
Hear, hear. I couldn't have said it better myself. She died a lonely old snobbish hag.
O V H I agree completely. Just like the rest of the spoiled "royal" family. They ought to go, and they WILL go within the next 50 years, the entire ridiculous thing will be abolished.
They didn’t trust Margaret to carry out regular duties because she would say inappropriate things. It’s as if they just ignored her and didn’t prepare her for anything. I think they figured she would marry someone suitable, have kids, and live quietly.
@@Ellen24493 the onus was on her. She could have gotten a Ph.D. She could have written books. She could have been an interior decorator, a painter, an art historian. What are you talking about?
I have two older sisters and they are just two year's apart. One is kind, warm, caring and generous while the other is self centered, manipulative and spoiled. Some people are born with good character and personality while others are just not.
Ironic that she wasn’t able to marry Peter Townsend because of the scandal, she showed them just how much scandal she could create in retribution. 😏
Her sister Elizabeth had a hand in Margaret’s destruction. Had she allowed Margaret to marry Peter Townsend, her sister may have had a fulfilling life. Such a shame.
