    I've been in love with these for years having watched Cowboy Bebop as kid and that's what got me into guns in the first place, but the steel models have been pretty hard to find as of late. I definitely consider this the best CZ 75 clone, and possibly even better than the original.

      If you didn’t know, Spike’s was a full-size 941RS. The safety on his was on the slide. Now Batou from Ghost in the Shell, his gun is based off this. In the files his was a Jericho 942FS in 50 cal lol which doesn’t actually exist lol nerd stuff am I right?

    It's a beautiful gun! Why people tend to gravitate towards a S&W or Glock and something like this is beyond me.

      There are reasons, all personal but if it's justified to them at least it means something. My military buddy says he doesn't like european saftey's, something that small can make a difference.

      @@phuse99 I agree. Personal preference and beliefs plays a huge role in determining whatever gun someone chooses. Plenty of people love the Beretta 92, but I personally don't like it as much after using it during my tours in Afghanistan. There's nothing wrong with it at all but it's just not as fun to shoot as it used to be for me after using it for so long. I know a couple of older guys when I was a kid who would never touch a Walther or HK due to their former ties to the Nazis regardless of how great or iconic some of those guns were. A lot of their products are used by the US Military or police officers all around the US, but those guys still refuse to give those guns a chance.

    Very informative and no BS review, thanks!
    I saw Jericho in my friend's shooting range in Estonia, picked it up and loaded it with 10 rounds and took shots at a standard paper target 15 meters away.
    Couldn't see any holes on paper and thought I was terrible with it and returned it to the armory.
    When the range was cold I went and checked the target and all ten rounds were in the black circle.
    For the reference I'm not good with 9mm semi auto pistols.

    The 90s Jericho was my favorite gun of all time. That was my favorite gun to shoot out of all the ones my father owns and I spent a large chunk of my childhood shooting it. I still find myself shooting the best with the Jericho regardless of how many newer and "better" guns are out there. Always wanted one of my own and decided to buy the surplus 941 since they're less than half the price of the newer ones in production, but it's in terrible condition. It still shoots exceptionally well, but there's rust and some pitting. I would just buy the newer models or a used (non surplus) Jericho 941. They're much more expensive than the surplus, but it's worth it.

    The Jericho 941 is the identical twin to the Baby Desert Eagle, i bought mine in 2000 and it is a super reliable gun, easy to disassemble and clean and because of the simple design it makes it that much more reliable. I have fired probably 1000 rounds over the years and after 20 years of ownership cleaned it a few days ago and found very little if any wear. For the price this pistol will rival all other similar priced guns in it's class.

    • @JacksonWalter735
      @JacksonWalter735 5 років тому

      @@jxinx6812 I was about to say this. There are plenty of companies who have made mags for the CZ75 that might not work 100% of the time with the Jericho. I don't know if this is still an issue with the newer guns, but my father's Jericho from the 90s fails to feed sometimes depending on which companies' CZ mags I use. The mags that came with my father's CZ75 works perfectly, but some 3rd parties don't work as well in the Jericho as they do in the CZ75.

    I’ve had the 4.4” all steel model for about 4 years now. Excellent pistol! It’s been polished inside and out including all internals. Frame and slide where brushed nickel plated. Hand polished barrel, Lok Grips, DPM recoil kit, a flat faced trigger and night sights. I love this gun 🥳 the only thing I would change from the original design is the beaver tail, make it point straight back like a newer Tanfoflio, not angled down into the meat of your hand.

    One of the things I love about most any 75 variant pistol is the slide is narrow and rides high above where the web of your thumb rests.....no slide or hammer bite. And I've got big hands, but I've never been bitten by one of these pistols. The Jericho is excellent.....and has to be.....Israel can't afford to fool around with half-assed shoddy equipment. They like precision.

    I started my CZ-75 clone lust fest with the EAA Witness(Tanfoglio) and I have carried it for over a year. 3000 rds through it with zero issues. I recently purchased the polymer framed version of IWI Jericho because of how much I love shooting the Tanfoglio, and I like the Jericho even MORE! The mags from both weapons are interchangeable, so I can go with the 16 rounds in the IWI or the 17 rounder that comes with the Tanfoglio. They both shoot beautifully and offer more control over the firearm than I ever felt I had with a Glock or Sig(not there's anything wrong with either, settle down). There seems to be no difference in accuracy between the polymer and steel versions. I have fired both and the only thing I notice is the reduced weight offered by the polymer frame. I would assume the steel frames may last longer, but I'll deal with it for less weight to carry. These weapons are meant to be fired, easily serviced and offer excellent performance(especially for the price!) if you haven't fired one of these, find someone with one and beg them to go to the range. You won't be disappointed.

    Great video. I own an IMI Jericho, doesn't come with a rail, but did come with tru-glo sights, despite being an oldie of sorts. This new version with the rail and amazing kit looks like something Imma be recommending left and right to fellows who don't collect and only want a handgun or two. Remember it also has polygonal rifling, something I was going to ask about, until you showed the barrel :-)
    Regarding the all-steel construction... well, given this video is 2 years old, I'm sure you already noticed the amazing benefits :-)
    Last but not least, mags should be compatible with CZ/Tanfoglio, and I think (could check before typing but kinda lazy haha) Mec-Gar makes them, which is peace of mind regarding quality - and price! right there. Cheers!

    There are alternative parts for this pistol but the info is hard to come by. It took me a lot of time to figure some of these out so I'll list a few. Meprolight makes two types of night sights, one pair like the ones that come stock and one pair with a shelf for single hand use. Hogue makes several pairs of grips from checkered wood to g10. CZ 75 mags do work, they might not lock open at first but after roughly 100 rounds they won't have problems. Dawson has a fiber optic front sight marked as desert eagle and maybe baby eagle (I don't remember) there's not much indication but the .120x.115 inch sight is the one for the current production Jericho. EAA carries Tanfoglio parts some of which are compatible, all I know for sure is the witness hammers work.

      There's a company called LOK grips that makes grips that are replicated to be exactly like the ones on Spike's pistol. They're a tad pricey at almost $100, but you can order them in various colors and they're very high quality.

      @@anvilhammer9026 In case this helps you fellows, regarding 9, 40 or 45, terminal ballistics depend on barrel lenght and ammo combination. There're other calibers, like .357 Sig, 10mm and of course, magnum revolver rounds, that ensure an outstanding performance without regard of how much math you did before choosing the barrel lenght and ammo. But they come at a cost: They're expensive ammo-wise, or carry less rounds (revolvers), and they do take a little extra time to get acquainted with, unless you're like Arnold in his 20's :-) Cheers!

    I wish that the Jericho would begin to be made with ambidextrous controls. Magazine release ambidextrous and slide ambidextrous. This gun seems to be very nice except for limiting controls to the right handed user.

    Just got the scaled down version of the steel Jericho with the shorter barrel 3.8" and none of the goodies or night sights but I didn't pay a lot for it neither. The kit is nice and probably would have saved some money, Oh well maybe when I get the 45 cal. All and all it is one great gun very well made for the money and mine was cleaner than any american gun I've ever bought. The only thing I found on my gun was packing grease no shooting dirt at all.

    The IWI steel frame Jericho definitely are machined well and can't find many imperfections. Biggest conplaints would be the factory grips being cheap look/feel, the latest production guns not including accessories (cleaning brushes), and discontinuing the range kit that had mag loader/holster. Jericho's are excellent, accurate, starting to get aftermarket support (Cajun Gun Works, Patriot Defense), run CZ mags, and always cheaper than competitive brands.

    I bought the polymer frame full-size.. I didn't choose the polymer for the weight savings (30 plus oz it's still a tank!) but several reviews made claims...as strange or as little sense as it maybe..that the polymer actually had a better trigger.. more crisp, and felt lighter... I do kind of regret not going steel frame because the steel seems to have a better fit and finish to it not to mention the additional weight likely sucks up recoil but in a 9mm it's not much anyway. I prefer the fit of the polymer and it is a favorite of mine..I just bought a P10C.. nice pistol but the Jericho feels more like military artillery than the CZ P10.. ITS A SOLID GO TO WAR BEAST! Too big to conceal, too wide to want to. Love the Jericho..8 on a 1-10..

    My Jericho ruined me to all other handguns. I haven't bought another handgun in over two years because why bother? It fits my hand perfectly. The weight eats up recoil and muzzle flip so it's accurate as all get out. It's aesthetically beautiful without the pomposity of a Desert Eagle. The gun is perfect. In fact the only downside I can think of about it is the appalling lack of aftermarket parts and customization options. Unless you like wood or rubber it's very hard to find good custom grips for it.

    I have this gun for about 6 months now. I have put probably 2000 rounds through it. I love it. To answer your question in the video, they are all made that well. Mine is a little different in the fact that it has a single slide spring. (I dont know when they changed that.) Functions reliably. Only gave me a feed issue when I left too much oil after cleaning g and it began to gum up. I've shot a lot of guns but this is my first gun purchase and I really enjoy shooting it. I did replace the grips with the rubber Hogue grips but haven't tried it out since the switch. I find that the sights are generally a bit low from what I've seen on shooting reviews and was true with mine as well. Any mildly experienced shooter can easily adjust to it. Once I did I found it to be scary accurate with very tight groupings. The fact that mine has the combat reload feature of the slide releasing from lock and loading a round when you aggressively slap the magazine in was a nice feature. I dont know if they are all that way. All in all good shooting, reliably functioning, and amazingly comfortable in the hand (my hand).

    • @TokinWhiteKid
      @TokinWhiteKid 4 роки тому

      What's sorta funny about that reload "feature" of the slide chambering a new round when the mag is slapped in is that the manual calls this out as a safety issue and to not put the magazine in too hard or it will chamber a round. I'm not sure if this is an intentional design or by mistake
