Yes you can 😂
nice attitude Zion, you should probably start being more optimistic if you wanna be successful.
Step 2: have perfectly built support beams in your home gym
All homes have load bearing walls or pillars, otherwise the house wouldn't be standing, so find a load bearing wall, they'll make a dull thud when hit and make sure you don't hit hidden cabling or pipes, if you hit a gas main you'll be in trouble and spending a lot of money

Step 3. Loose your gains building a gym instead of building bigger arms

I notice people are complaining about the space, but you really only need enough room to stand. My uncle set his up in a corner and it did not look as modern or as big as this man's.

Lots of comments giving slack, but this is badass.
For anyone with a DIY lat pulldown setup, if you can anchor some folding hooks on the floor which you can then wrap a chain/strap around your leg to do pulldowns properly. I did this and it's so much better.

Average gym is $500 a year. I have a very nice home gym for around 10 years. I've invested a few grand, don't need nearly that much though. I have cable machines, Rogue squat rack, nautilus stationary bike, Sole treadmill, bunch of dumbbells. Probably $5000, but that's a similar cost to going to a gym for 10 years except now I own it all and I don't have to leave my house in a blizzard to go workout
In lockdown, in India when everyone left working out, at that time I had nothing to workout, I started to do bodyweight training for 1 months then bought 2 resistance band and that was amazing investment, then I bought :
4 - 2.5 kgs - plate
4 - 5 kg plates
2 - 10 kg plates.
An pull-up bar with pully attached to it. In my bed room.
Use sitting long table as flat bench.
And I still remember that time.
Total Investment is - 6500 Rs
In US $ it's Not even 100$

Having a pulley system means that every time you meet a pulley you half the needed output or something. So he's actually lifting nothing on that side
That's simply solved by adding extra weight, but I take your point
If you knew how pulley systems work you would know how dumb you sound right now.
@@arturobandini4078or just build it correctly and you won’t have to use a ridiculous amount of weight for a workout.
no this pulley system doesnt half the weight it only redirects it, for a pulley system to reduce the weight/force needed to move something it would have to include moving pulleys. which this doesnt have
I have a cheap weight station for 500. That 120 was about a quarter of the payment. Even if money is tight.....priorities are important. You make time and effort for the things that are important to you. Just buy the weight station.

Its usually always better to build your own. I started doing Kettlebell swings. Once you get upwards of 40+ lbs they are over 100 each. So I made my own with barbell weights and pipes. Fraction of the price.
me and the boys in latam seeing that our food spendings for the months have to be half of that:🌚
Lol for real, protein is expensive in latam
Obrigado bostil
For a single person (that do not require to be able to fast change weight with a single pin like gym's need) it is pretty good solution.
Step one. Have a basement with support beams accessible.
You really only need one load bearing pulley attached to the ceiling
i personaly bought a pull up and dip bar combination, 2 dumbells and some bands. Enough to stay atheltic
I like it!
I love this! You don’t always need super fancy gear to stay in shape. I have 2 adjustable dumbbells that only go up to 25lbs. I’ve made progress on my strength already. I want to buy an adjustable bench and eventually upgrade the weight on my dumbbells and I know I can make even better progress!
I was waiting for the ceiling to collapse 💀
Step 1: own a home
Step 2: no need for step one just repair the holes 🤯
$120 still expensive for me, my workout equipment just $30 total, can do for chest, arms, back, shoulder, and any else🗿

I used motorcycle chains as cable and I improvised sprockets as pulleys all found in junkyard. No welding needed just nails and screws (no cost). I made concrete plates. Sand is everywhere. Made 3 pulley machines. Only spent 5 dollars for cement.
A full sized cable machine + attachments is
Absolutely wild that people who say it's not expensive never realize how much more expensive their idea of not expensive is.
Then add in the cost of those weights, the squat rack, the equipment on the wall, total cost closer to 1k.
Well yeah... and you've got the space for it. btw you can do pushups, jump on public benches, climb trees... there are ways if you want to stay fit.
Not me waiting for that tiny little ring to snap
but pulley adds some mechanical advantage so you are not pulling what is labelled on the weights
so you will have to increase the weight to have same effect

Pulleys double your power and half your speed so you aren’t lifting as much

The cost of a home gym is all just upfront. If you are already going to the gym on the regular, it's going to save you money within a year or two if you do it correctly.
Finally a DIY video that’s not stupid
That's 6 months of gym subscription for 1 type of workout
I might build something similar in my garage. I’ve just bought a lat pulldown machine from Amazon. It was cheaper than buying the accessory for my power rack. And I’m very excited for it. I’ve been using the cable pulley system in my basement for a while. I used a steering wheel cover as a substitute for the rope. Tied the pulley to the raft. I’ve officially retired it. Took it down and maybe I’ll use it in the garage for a different machine that I might build.
Nice I like it! Interesting about the steering wheel cover!
This is what I want in the shed I will be building hopefully soon.

Gotta love these type of videos man's videos talking about people complaining that homes are too expensive meanwhile this guy has a whole basement dedicated to a makeshift home gym...
You could buy a used lat pull-down in decent condition for that price. Plenty of ppl have made diy cable systems for like $30
In the end it's still cheaper at the end of the year cost than going to a gym, stop going indoors to run in place go enjoy nature and run
We did those in Poland in basements in social housing blocks in the 90s. Nothing new. Plus usually all of the weights were made by a neighbour, father, cousin who was a turner.
