Oh,this is like the perfect Saturday morning....Kiwi farmer new video, nice steady summer rain, driving around ewes and lambs and just found out NZ are playing England at Dunedin....so back home to watch 2nd half. Brilliant game 16-15....
Absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation documentary countryside content video and a very interesting video to watch .. million thanks ..
We run a 250acre block of plantain/prairie grass mix that we graze our cows on prior to them going onto the winter oats. Probably different for your case with sheep but have found the protein and energy in the plantain helps the girls maintain and even gain weight through the winter whilst prepping for the spring calving.
I’m interested in your theories about exposing ewe lambs to worm load for the first year. I have a similar mentality when worming however barberpole worm (haemonchus ) can make it quite difficult to risk doing so.
It is interesting. We haven't had Barbers pole but it is in Canterbury now . Just need to be more vigilant and make faecal egg counting more of a priority.
You are getting about 4k of new subscribers per year. So in 3 years you should be at approximately 25k subscribers. Hopefully you will grow faster than that.
Have you spoken to tepari ? They sponsor some big channels in the uk. Ewes on crop look great! I’d catch that one that busts out and keep her at the yards 🤣🤣
The Prefect storm of mismanagement from the meat companies, heaps of lambs out of Aus flooding the market and China not in the market to buy our lambs.

Great video, like the bike riding. Cheers.
Same in Aus mate.
Fingers crossed it all picks up!

Interesting. Thanks for that. I do like it as a plant and it has it place.
@@kiwifarmernz We use the Atom species for our rainfall from DLF Seeds I believe its Agricom for you guys over there.
@@ashdavy9828 yea we use the Agricom products quite a lot.

It's slow going for sure. But don't know how to speed it up🤷
Doing videos with other you tubers helps. Keep an eye out for shearing UA-cam guys, invite them out or look them up. 👌

@@colinwientjens1871 Yes, a trip to some UK UA-camrs should boost subscribers.
@@kiwifarmernzit's slow going trying to attract rural new Zealand to social media 😂😂
Is the ag economy in a funk in New Zealand right now?
Yes sure is. Low lamb prices and high input costs.
The kale slaps the bike around a bit no matter how fast you go
Yea it does
Crazy prices for lambs in the UK, why so dismal in NZ?

Do you ever worry about coccidia when feeding hay, grain or kale in a muddy paddocks/ on the ground? Do you ever do preventative treatments?
Only have had issues in lambs, not much of an issue in older ewes.
There's always one girl, 🐑. 😅.
