Oh waw so its really well worth the money for the 4 part solution and the testing because i also have a 120g and i wanted to try out the Triton method thank you for the quick response
I wanted to know how long ago did you remove the mud from your sump? I'm thinking about using mud myself. And It looks like you did very well with it. I'm a little surprised you made the change. Was there any problems you had with the mud your no longer having now?
Michael Feliciano I used it for about 8 months . as long as you change half of it every year I don't think there should be any problems. I took it out because I started the triton method which requires you to remove any substrate in the fuge area
Thank you think I mite try it when I finally get my tank up and running . I also watched your video on the Triton method. I'm definitely going to keep watching to see how that works. I have few questions about Triton method. #1Are you still water testing with home test kits? #2 If so what brands name kits for each test you use? #3 Are they far off the results you get from Triton Lab ?
Yes I still test at home. I use all red sea test kits. They are pretty accurate with the triton test. I made a vid if you are interested on my results when I got them back from triton. I've only done 2 test this whole time with triton
Great video - as a noob I'm truly confused and hope you can explain (maybe go into detail on next video 😉): Shouldn't the refugium go in last compartment so that "pods/microfauna" don't get caught in reactors/other filtration and could serve as "extra feeders"? Or am I confused and the refugium isn't meant to be utilized as a feeder of pods for certain species in addition to being a bio filter? Hopefully I didn't confuse my question. My thinking is skimmer, reactors etc to clean then refugium to stabilize and also allow excess micro to enter tank? PLEASE educate me
Nice and simple 👍🏾👍🏾
Awesome video!!
I really like all the work you've done. I've been following your set up since the beginning.
