New! I showed my husband the start of your video and said “this guy is good you should watch with me” he said “but it’s almost half an hour!” He was sucked in after the first few minutes and I think you now have another subscriber 😂 I think your table should be called “meltwater” as it reminds me of a glacial river. So innovative and cool.
PhD in polymer engineering here; you're absolutely correct about the shape memory effect around 18:50. When the epoxy was heated above its glass transition temperature during the sun-assisted shaping stage, the residual stresses in the area around the clamp were "locked in" after it cooled back down. When you sanded it that area was likely heated back above the glass transition temperature and was able to relax again, leaving telltale markings from the clamp due to the shape memory effect!
Automotive detailers talk about a similar phenomenon: the sun can sort of “reactivate” blemishes and mineral deposits which were thought to be removed by compounding/polishing.
My dad and I would watch your videos together because we wanted to learn how to work with epoxy and wood. He passed away a few months ago but I hope to carry on his dream of making awesome tables. Thank you for giving us so much happiness and something for us to bond together with

New! The melting reminded me of the “Persistence of Memory” by Salvador Dali (melting clocks). So “Persistence of Blue” might be an appropriate name. Love how a casual observation leads to an amazing result! And the woodworking is amazing too!
Loving the name. I would have gone for The Ghost of Vermeer of Delft Which Can Be Used As a Table for the obvious reason but I greatly enjoy where your mind went.
Brilliant. The painting was the first thing that came to mind. I initially thought "The persistence of epoxy memory" given the mishap with the imprint that sprung back into shape haha
@@BlacktailStudio Hijacking this comment thread to tag you. With my extremely limited education in my department of mechanical and materials engineering, I do know of the fact that epoxy can be altered to behave in the way you describe in the video. With a high strain inducing plastic deformation (the clamp) being released near the glass transition temperature (usually that a lot higher than 40C but in some cases it can be low) the "permanent" shape is set at the high temp, then when allowed to cool it will take on a "temporary: shape. However, this "permanent" shape is typically only recovered when heated back up to temperatures closer to what the experienced during its formation. I don't believe that event had ever occurred, the only thing I can think of is the sanding, polishing, buffing processes producing large amounts surface heat, thereby replicating those conditions. It's unlikely though. It's more likely that the strain was so excessive that the clamp stamped a shape really deep in there but it would be hard to see without the polished finish. Hard to say. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shape-memory_polymer edit. Did you shine a UV light on it for a long period of time? UV can induce this kind of shape rebound as well.
New! I just recently started working with epoxy in my small one-car garage space. I love the look of epoxy. It reminds me of the beauty of stained glass, but is so much safer to work with than glass. More durable and versatile. Like you, I enjoy woodworking as well, and have recently begun making an actual workspace so I can look forward to spending more time in my workshop when I retire in about a year. Your channel has been inspirational and very informative. Thanks for all of the great content! I'll definitely be tuning in for more ideas and pro tips!
I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever seen a piece of art/furniture I’ve liked more than this build. Ever. I’m very into all things water (scuba diving, sailing, et. all) and also a woodworker and this is exactly my style. Awesome job!!
Dang dude, you put enough time and effort into all of your projects that I really don't think the approval of others is something to be concerned with. Your projects always impress me, and it seems like they make you happy.
I think he was making a joke; he said the community said he wasn't a real woodworker since he mixed wood and epoxy, then said he was aiming to prove himself to the community by using solid epoxy. I would like to believe that he can look at what he creates and appreciate his skill and creativity.
The light caustics it casts on the floor are so good! It's like the look it gives is more than the table itself. It physically interacts with the floor and the other objects in the room. Very fine.
New💙 I love your stories, even though I'm not a carpenter. I listen to you as a podcast with woodworker stories, peeking at your videos while working on my laptop as a self-employed person. Your constant creative impulses, endeavours, making decisions, fixing mistakes, solving problems in interesting ways serve as a great motivation for anyone who isn't lazy 😉. Thank you for it! And please keep it up!! You're brilliant person and great creator🤘
That looks absolutely amazing. The zebra wood leg looks so much better than having an acrylic leg. It adds a natural element that makes the epoxy seem like a waterfall in a jungle.
The old one is aesthetically more pleasing, although the new one certainly has a more modern vibe to it. This piece of art is creative and looks gorgeous. Fantastic job. I would name this epoxy build : *The Dive* Primarily due to the waterfall shape but more importantly because you took a leap of faith and were successful :)
I like this a lot!! What a great name for the table. I also agree that the old table is aesthetically pleasing whereas the new has.. well .. a new vibe! My only issue is that I feel like stuff will slide off easily since it's so curved, so it would really have to be more of a conversation piece than a functional table, which is TOTALLY FINE. For me, though, I would just rather have the more functional table.
I'm absolutely obsessed with this piece. I do not create content. However, I do work with epoxy weekly, daily when needed, but this blew everything Ive ever done out of the water. Something as unique and one of a kind is what it is all about.
Wether or not your a "real" woodworker or not isn't up to anyone but you and the important thing is that you love doing what you do. Resin projects are so satisfying to watch. Thank you!
Just found this and that is beautiful piece of art. Frankly, no matter which wood crafters acknowledge you as which ever level of worker, I hope that you will own the fact that you are an exceptional artist.
Just wanted to say that you make some of the best things. My father painted, drawing. Still need to make frames for them .i am 72 now have the saw, wood ,just need more youthfulness. Lol.love all your shows.better then news on TV. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND FAMILY. 😊
It kind of looks like an abstract art piece of a vintage surf board riding a wave. I really love the choice of the wooden leg, especially the zebra wood, and the way you attached it! For moving purposes I almost wish all furniture could be put together like that 😂 I’m currently in the process of joining 2 wooden bedside table together, back to back, to create a coffee table, and watching your channel for the first time makes me feel slightly less crazy and a lot more hopeful 😊
Can’t possibly decide between old and new end table. They are both just too cool. The new belongs in George Jetson’s house! The old one makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The new one puts you in a trance looking for the meaning of the cosmos! Amazing work. Thanks so much for sharing your imagination with us.
New end table is awesome! Don’t pay any attention to the individuals that say you are not a true woodworker. You are a high caliber artisan that uses wood as a medium. Anyone can make plain and simple wood projects, but a true artist like yourself is on a much higher level. Love your channel and all the cool projects and content you provide.
Early Sunday morning, I am scrolling through UA-cam trying to distract myself from anxiety and I found this video.... Watching you work and listening to your voice over : intensively calming and satisfying... Stunningly beautiful table /art... For me, this is the 'Peace Piece'
'New' has to be the number one for me. It was a pretty bold experiment that showed if you have good woodworking skills you can venture out into other mediums & they will work. I know I am late viewing this project but I would have called it 'Sunstroke'. It was fantastic to watch the 'sun at work' to warm up the slab & bend it 'so gracefully'. Love the wooden leg, it gives he project another dimension & the wooden coasters added a touch of 'class'. Well done, Don from South Australia.
New, Hello, I am from Brazil, and I am terrible at manual work. Even the simplest manual task turns out horribly, but I never get tired of watching your videos. I am amazed by how incredible and beautiful the work done with wood and epoxy is.
NEW - I have to say that I have never in my life seen anyone that is as meticulous about absolutely every step of the process as you are. I am from Winnipeg, Canada. I am a 60 year old somewhat handicapped man that has been playing around with wood/epoxy projects for about a year and a half. Due to our climate, my disability and my very limited work space, I can only dream of gaining some of the skill that you demonstrate in every build of yours that I have watched. This project blew my mind as I'm sure many others as well. I'm going to enroll in your tutorials in the coming weeks, in hope of aquiring enough pointers to make a project that I can be proud of. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Sincerely; Dan.
Honestly can't decide between old and new. They're both gorgeous and look good where you had them staged. I also think the name "Seacliff" could work, since it looks almost like an ocean going over the edge of a cliff and also because it reminds me a bit of the type of furniture my grandma had back when she lived in the Seacliff Beach area. It was the 90s, so everything had suuuper rounded edges lol
I actually love both tables! The epoxy and the Zebra wood give off a futuristic vib while the older table has an ancient," passed down for generations" feel about it. I would be proud to display either table in my home. Amazing work and results.Bravo!
I agree, those that have flexibility in thought (neuroplasticity) can be so much more creative because they don't feel stuck to one device/tool or media. You are a multimedia artist. Awesome!!!
I love that you show the mistakes and flaws. As well as demonstrate the patience in going back in to take the steps necessary to fix them. Great job. Beautiful table.
I've been binging your videos for a couple of days now, and love the creativity, the problem-solving skills, and the stick-to-it-iveness. The only thing I don't quite understand ... those rude comments at the end. Why do people even think their comment warrants posting, when it's just darkness? Weird.
New! I kinda liked how it looked unsanded - gave it an almost sea glass look, but the shiny finished look is even better! I really love those round edges.
It's usually hard for me to sit all the way through these long wood working videos, even when the end product is very unique or beautiful. Not sure why, but a lot of channels just don't do it for me. This was one of the few times I was actually very interested and sat through the whole thing. I think your commentary really adds a lot to the video! What a lovely table.
Amazing work shop, skilled, visionary, and patience. All the hallmarks of a wood working craftsman. You take it next level with the artistry of Epoxy. Nice job. The only thing I would change is, on the wood leg contact with floor, do not round edges, but rather give the Bottom a flat surface. Bravo...
New, definitely looks much more modern. Loved the timelapse of the slab "bending" in the sun and the polishing process was just awesome. You are right, it looks more like glass than epoxy.
I think it looks like a waterfall since it’s dark at the top and light at the bottom as the water goes from a laminar flow at the top of the falls to a turbulent flow at the bottom. Waterfall Table it is ❤️ I think it’s incredible! That zebra wood is beautiful!
I realize I am a year late watching this video, but I just recently got started playing with epoxy and am watching everything. This table turned out gorgeous and in would have called it Down To Earth or Azure Beauty. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to watching all your older and new videos. As a beginner, woodworker and epoxy pourer videos like this are an inspiration. And that you give things away is amazing! Who knows, one day I might even get lucky!
New for looks, old for function. That's one of the coolest pieces I've ever seen, and the fact that you took a mistake someone made and turned it into such astounding art is just incredible.
Yeah I'm looking at that and there must not be much usable space on the new one. Still absolutely beautiful piece though, and for an end table you probably don't need that much table space anyways.
I have never commented on any of your projects, but I needed to with this one. First thing is to comment " NEW " because this is one of the neatest tables I have ever seen. It's just really blew me away on how you were able to do this. I'm a beginner with the woodworking and at the age of 61, I've been watching your videos and a few others just to get ideals and thoughts to continue with, I also incorporate wood burnings into what I do as a unique design element that most people don't do that I've come across at least. The old end table that you had there was sweet but this acrylic one I just believe it went over the top as far as looks and Design. Keep up the good work and the new ideals sincerely Matthew Winebrenner
New. You should name the Table after your wife, she seemed to have a pretty big influence on it and I’m sure she’d be flattered to have such an awesome table named after her(or super offended that you’d compare her to a table, there’s always a gamble). This is definitely one of my favorite works you’ve done so far and I’m stoked asf to see what you do with the mammoth tusk
I like both the new table and the old one, different concepts. You should be proud that carpenters don't consider you one of them. You are not a carpenter, you are more than that. You are an artist. I learn with you. Grestings from México.
mate, your work is out of this world, you are a great woodworker that does not mind thinking out of the square and takes chances, and I love the fact that you talk all the way through your videos, love all your work.
New: The cast light pattern made by the table is gorgeous. There's something really satisfying about the leg being held in place simply by the precision of the slot and tension of the felt. I think that's a real demonstration of excellent design and woodcraft. I know that maddening feeling of botching something when you get in a hurry, it's the worst. I always have to remind myself "haste makes waste" and just continue on methodically and patiently. So glad you didn't nick the wood with your utility knife! Maybe you could call it a "cast-light waterfall table" as it is kind of a riff on a waterfall table and the cast light from it on the floor looks like a waterfall... Just a thought.
I love the way the lights look on the floor after passing through the table, reminds me of ocean waves. So "Ocean Waves" would be a really fitting name for the new table!
I love that your wife was involved. Her reaction to the pour was brilliant. This project is amazing and got me reaching for my epoxy straight away. Thank you. X
New… no question. Please send your wonderful table to my wife on the other side of the world in New Zealand. By the way, I know you are really Matthew McConeughey.
Hands down, one of the most unique, stunning tables (of all materials) I have ever seen. I have not long stumbled across your videos and I have to admit, I am becoming a bit of an addict. It's so great that you don't rush your videos, as there are far to many people in this business who are way more interested in self gain only. It is so clear that you have a particular focus of helping others learn, whilst looking to advance in your trade yourself, by asking others for ideas on more efficient ways. You have definitely gained another (UK) fan 😉
Beautiful table Jason Statham! I would call it Arched Sky. Don't let others decide if you are a woodworker. The only person that should define you is you. You do amazing work.
it's like a modern art-deco waterfall table. I love the design and the color gradient! I can see it being placed on a white shag rug. I'd love to have something like that in my home!
I'm amazed at your talent. A gift from G.j of that you've worked at through discipline and I'm going to stretch here a bit but tedious hours and tenacity brought you here. Name her something elegant as her. She deserves it. What's your wife's name again? Her high bar is what you work to impress. A perfect match by viewing your whole process. I know you'll never read this but it's my honest thought. I'm subscribing today. After being on UA-cam for many years I've not hit that sub button. The like button yes the dislike many more. You're an artist, only because of mastering woodworking techniques have you honed your craft. You aren't required to know everything in woodworking to be a master craftsman. Doing one specific thing better than everyone else earns that title as long as you do the basic things relatively well. You sir are top notch mastering several. Kudos!
I've been in the construction business for more than 20 years, built additions to cabinets, desks and everything in between. Your wood work is pretty impressive for someone who people claim isn't a wood worker. Also if you enjoy what you do you'll only improve over time even without books or other research just through trial and error
Those same people that doubt are the same dunces that pay $700 for a replica art nouveau night stand because it has Ashley name on it, made from cardboard and used mattress filling. And they become highly offended if anyone calls it a nightstand. They call it a "piece". Stay gold.
Both old and new... "Sun Kissed" would be good for this style as it isn't color dependent. I like how you don't edit out the flaws, proves how difficult this is but also how you can remedy them.
Old was a very cool piece. But new is definitely something that I have never seen and I don’t want to stop staring at it. It’s absolute mesmerizing in the way it looks like a waterfall. The wood leg just solidifies the waterfall in nature. Stunning. Next you should just post a video of the table on a turntable just slowly and seductively showing off the beauty of this amazing piece of art. It’s hard to look away. Well done.
This is the first video of yours I’ve ever seen. I’m not usually into these sorts of videos, but I watched this one the entire way through - I just found it so fascinating. You’ve earned yourself a new subscriber! Amazing work!
Same! I have zero equipment to do anything even remotely close to this…but I watched every second! I don’t know how/why it ended up being suggested to me….but I’m definitely not mad about it. 🤣🤷♀️
Dido... But I do watch these type of videos and you also have a New Subscriber in Me. For the record I like the new End table Better. It adds a PoP to the Space!!!
New table type name nomination: Clamped Ledge table I'm not sure if the felt clamp is unique to this table or if you've done it before, but the idea of clamping a leg to the epoxy, with a felt groove, is so cool to me. Could also call it a Floating Ledge? Either way the L shape could apply to many types of tables, not even just curved epoxy. A 90-degree fully wood construction would also be nice. Maybe the curved variant is Clamped Slide table? a sharp edge would be called a Clamped Ledge table?
“epoxy/crystal/light waterfall” as a name could be nice, something that embraces the nature of the wood, the spirit of the proyect. A material transformation into a new dreaming nature. I really love this table. I’ll subscribe by that. I really love the resin, and you have done something amazing with that. Keep that way, with or without woodworkers approval, believe on you and your work, this things can’t be done by another than you bro. Thanks for your time 🙌
NEW - as a woodworking teacher I was blown away by this vid. Great job. I never new cured resin could bend. Wow.Learn something new everyday. Youve got yourself another subscriber.
New! Awesome build Cam. The microfibre spot during polishing is definitely from the plastic “memory”. We used to have this happen when we used chill epoxy which was soft without heat. We would leave tables on sticks, the epoxy would dent, we would sand flush, and then the epoxy would push back up where it was previously dented!
We did this in high school woodwork class. Bent some steel wire into a shape/logo/initials and clamped it into oven heated Perspex. Then sanded it down and heated it again to make the shape pop back up
The new end table is GORGEOUS!!! I was waiting to see you start the second leg but the fact that you only have the one piece of support almost makes it futuristic!!!! So Beautiful!!! 🤩
My style tends to be much more rustic and wood based so the old table would probably match me more, but I absolutely love the new one so much! The finish looks so smooth and beautiful and I love how the light hits through the fading blue. I also think the wooden leg looks amazing with it. The contrast of the more neutral toned wooden leg and the blue epoxy table top makes it have such a modern yet comfortable look to it.
Just reading that epoxy comment at the end of the video 😦 the epoxy work you do is so beautiful - I love the burst of colour incorporated into the wood. I haven't seen much of that work here in Ireland but I think it transforms the piece being created. Don't stop doing it and don't listen to the rude people either - you do a great job.
I'm not a carpenter, but I've always liked it. Your videos are fascinating. I'm learning a lot about how you make that combination of wood and epoxy. I congratulate you and I like the way you comment on your videos. If they read this message, I'll give you the name for that table. And I'm sure you'll like it 98%. But I don't want anything...
Awesome result, its always refreshing to watch you experiment and learn new things/grow as an artist instead of becoming formulaic based on whatever video you make that gets most viral. It's wild to see how far you've come and I appreciate that you haven't changed as you've blown up, just become a better version of your previous self. Thanks for making unique content and art
this is the perfect material and color for a table! I'd like to call it "calm ocean". transition between blue and transparent resin melts my eyes! Definitely the new table is my choice.
New! I’m sorry that there are people out there who don’t think you’re a “real woodworker”. Surely the definition of a woodworker is someone who works with wood. You may not be a master craftsman woodworker, or a master resin worker, but the stuff you produce is stunningly amazing. You, sir, are an Artist and true artists push the boundaries of the mediums they use to create their art. You’ll reach 2 million subscribers shortly, I’m sure. I’ve only got 230, but I’m amazed that that many people like my content. You do you and ignore the naysayers.
I love the “old” end table æsthetically, but the “new” table is so much more congruent and elegant with the decor, ESPECIALLY with your rear shot, looking through it toward the sun. What a gorgeous piece!
New one looks so stylish, simplistic and modern. The smooth zebrawood accompanied by the soft edge acrylic in a handmade gradient is something really unique and I wouldn't be surprised if a few larger companies took inspiration from this design and incorporated it into their future line-ups! Really well made and an inspiration to all diy-enthusiasts!
Everything you do is beautiful...Even what you consider, "mistakes!" They are happy accidents. I am very Victorian, and love the wooden table, even though the modern blue epoxy table is absolutely beautiful. You have so much talent!!!
My god, I took a punt a clicked this video, looking for something cathartic for my wind-down prior to bed - and i'm hooked! Your work is unbelievable, and you've got a really solid/entertaining narration through the whole process. Really enjoyed this - looking forward to using you as my wind-down fodder in the near future too.
Old or new I would display both. Love your tenacity. Definitely a beautiful piece and most definitely one of a kind. Love how the wood just set the piece so much in my opinion. Nothing but respect from Kentucky
Goodness, I don't understand how anyone can say you're not really a woodworker unless they're just jealous of the beautiful and wonderfully creative work that you do. Please don't listen to them anymore. Your work is amazing.
I was so focused on the name that I forgot to mention that your creation is 100% beautiful! As an industrial designer specializing in furniture design, this is an Art Piece that should be recognized and pointed out as one of the iconic furniture designs. Thank you for sharing the process!!
New. It’s gorgeous. Every step of the way it just keeps getting better. You talk about how incredible it is what comes from the minds of others but then you created this and I’ve never seen anything like it. Just in awe both as an artist and as a viewer
New. Dang bro! I've been neglecting watching this video of yours since it came out cuz it didn't look like much of a "woodworking" video! I was such a maroon! That is indeed one of "the" favorite things! Nice work.
I love both. I’d be hard pressed to choose one over the other. I love watching you work out all the kinks. And I don’t know why people don’t think you are a wood worker. The projects that you do are amazing and I think if you mix the two then that’s even more talent than just woodworking alone. Impressive!!
New - You did an incredible job with the epoxy. I honestly didn’t think the polish was going to come out that shiny. Epoxy doesn’t polish as easily as regular resin. And when you used the exacto knife to trim the felt my immediate thought was the blade shaving into the wood. You did an amazing job and this table video should an inspiration to anyone who has worked with epoxy for years.
Oh yes meltwater, well done! Hear hear.
glacial milk mmm
Absolutely !!!!! You hit the nail on the head. :):) Meltwater............it is :):)
Old. Great name for the new table! Love it.
100% this
Congratulations Jason Statham, now that you have made an epoxy table we accept you as a real woodworker
Finally
Then, how do you become a real epoxy worker?
@@ExtremeDiag you need to get a water jet first.
What does the side table taste like?
Did you lick it to be sure?

may your dad rest in peace, im sorry for your loss
Sorry for your loss. Stay strong and rest well knowing you've made your dad proud.
I’m so sorry for your loss and I hope you are able to carry on with your dads dream of making tables ❤

Loving the name. I would have gone for The Ghost of Vermeer of Delft Which Can Be Used As a Table for the obvious reason but I greatly enjoy where your mind went.
I would seriously love to see this with a melting Salvador Dali clock in it!!!
Dali is who I immediately thought of too.
Brilliant. The painting was the first thing that came to mind. I initially thought "The persistence of epoxy memory" given the mishap with the imprint that sprung back into shape haha
not bad for someone who isn't a real woodworker
New table is super legit. Nice work!

epoxy is epoxy and epoxy melts (glass is glass and glass breaks)

Hard to say.

edit. Did you shine a UV light on it for a long period of time? UV can induce this kind of shape rebound as well.
Wow Jerry... Nice Day to you and your family...
He only needs your views and subscription

It adds a natural element that makes the epoxy seem like a waterfall in a jungle.
there's something about wood/epoxy theme in furniture and i can't quite put my finger on it
@@megawl2086 its a Marine Boating Yacht Thing
How about "The Blu Lagoon"
I'm absolutely obsessed with this piece. I do not create content. However, I do work with epoxy weekly, daily when needed, but this blew everything Ive ever done out of the water. Something as unique and one of a kind is what it is all about.
Wether or not your a "real" woodworker or not isn't up to anyone but you and the important thing is that you love doing what you do. Resin projects are so satisfying to watch. Thank you!
In purely literal terms, if you've worked with wood, and you are not a fictional or digital being, you are a "real" wood-worker. People are silly. =)
Very true
New! 🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🫡
Just found this and that is beautiful piece of art. Frankly, no matter which wood crafters acknowledge you as which ever level of worker, I hope that you will own the fact that you are an exceptional artist.
The new "Bent Sky" table is utterly fantastic, but the old style wood appeals to me most... Marvelous work, both!
that shot at 27:40 with the slight imperfections in the epoxy playing with the light just makes the organic feel for this piece for me. I love it.
That is the look of it melting
It kind of looks like an abstract art piece of a vintage surf board riding a wave. I really love the choice of the wooden leg, especially the zebra wood, and the way you attached it! For moving purposes I almost wish all furniture could be put together like that 😂
I’m currently in the process of joining 2 wooden bedside table together, back to back, to create a coffee table, and watching your channel for the first time makes me feel slightly less crazy and a lot more hopeful 😊
Same also for anxiety tru runing some breakcore or dreamcore it is just enough noises to cancel out all the noises in my brain
Beautiful

'New' has to be the number one for me. It was a pretty bold experiment that showed if you have good woodworking skills you can venture out into other mediums & they will work. I know I am late viewing this project but I would have called it 'Sunstroke'. It was fantastic to watch the 'sun at work' to warm up the slab & bend it 'so gracefully'. Love the wooden leg, it gives he project another dimension & the wooden coasters added a touch of 'class'. Well done, Don from South Australia.
New,
Hello, I am from Brazil, and I am terrible at manual work.
It was the 90s, so everything had suuuper rounded edges lol
lmao yeah that era of design gives me so much nostalgia
I actually love both tables! The epoxy and the Zebra wood give off a futuristic vib while the older table has an ancient," passed down for generations" feel about it. I would be proud to display either table in my home. Amazing work and results.Bravo!
Self umor and self sarcasms are always signs of intelligence . UA-cam needs more people like you. Don't stop .
Some people might say your not a real woodworker, but what can’t be denied is you’re a talented artist. This is a beautiful piece. ❤

It wasnt a mistake. It was a mysterious unknown chemical process at fault.
Not a lover of Acrylics myself, but I've got to say you have every right to be proud of this one, it is stunning.
Thanks for over explaining something self explanatory!

NEW
You are so cool I never watch UA-cam videos all the way to the end but with yours i always finish them start to finish
I'm from Vietnam. I want to get to know everyone
New table all the way!
It's a beautiful piece, minimalistic but not cold and unfriendly.
Я в восторге!Это уникально и гениально!Какой талант дал вам Бог и как здорово,что вы его реализуете артистически!Браво!!!!!!!
Wow thanks
I love the way the lights look on the floor after passing through the table, reminds me of ocean waves. So "Ocean Waves" would be a really fitting name for the new table!
I love that your wife was involved. Her reaction to the pour was brilliant. This project is amazing and got me reaching for my epoxy straight away. Thank you. X
New… no question. Please send your wonderful table to my wife on the other side of the world in New Zealand. By the way, I know you are really Matthew McConeughey.

Seeing First Videp And My Mind Blown Away... You Are Real Wood Worker....
Stay gold.
@@dnlmachine4287 ha yeah that's true. Be good and have a nice day
Great piece of work. I enjoyed the polishing part watching it become clearer. And the color is stunning. I think I'd call it waterfall. Great job.
Both old and new... "Sun Kissed" would be good for this style as it isn't color dependent. I like how you don't edit out the flaws, proves how difficult this is but also how you can remedy them.
You never fail to amaze me, Johnny! A man with many talents - from astronaut to carpenter. Incredible.
Well done.
the new table its SO ORIGINAL and SO GOOD, congrats doing that piece of art

New
table type name nomination: Clamped Ledge table
I'm not sure if the felt clamp is unique to this table or if you've done it before, but the idea of clamping a leg to the epoxy, with a felt groove, is so cool to me.
Oh really?? Thanks Dylan, that makes me feel better
We did this in high school woodwork class. Bent some steel wire into a shape/logo/initials and clamped it into oven heated Perspex. Then sanded it down and heated it again to make the shape pop back up
I'm an int design student and this might be the coolest piece of furniture that I've seen recently, absolutely love it. Kudos to you
Relax. It's literally just a bent square with rounded corners. Aim higher, friend
I love it. You’re doing great. You are a real woodworker and you always have been.
I’ve only got 230, but I’m amazed that that many people like my content. You do you and ignore the naysayers.
Eh, Once you are at the point of selling 5 figure pieces of furniture nationwide I think you qualify as a real woodworker...
I would go as far to say a woodworking ambassador by raising awareness for the work that goes in to a project.
I like them both. It doesn't matter which famous person you may look like. You are unique and unrepeatable. Never forget that.

This has to be called the waterfall table! Love it ❤ And I choose old AND new because it's an impossible Sophie's choice, haha.
Yep, waterfall table is what came to my mind when looking at this table.
Everything you do is beautiful...Even what you consider, "mistakes!" They are happy accidents. I am very Victorian, and love the wooden table, even though the modern blue epoxy table is absolutely beautiful. You have so much talent!!!

Old or new I would display both. Love your tenacity. Definitely a beautiful piece and most definitely one of a kind. Love how the wood just set the piece so much in my opinion. Nothing but respect from Kentucky
Amazing. Going with wood instead of acrylic was a brilliant idea; very well implemented as well.

Oh thanks so much
New.
Old or new!! They can't really be compared, they are just so different. They both look amazing.
I would call it 'The Waterfall' as it looks like a waterfall. I really love your work. Keep it up dude.
