These videos really do make me realize that Blizzard might have made a huge mistake removing the bottom half of the M+ difficulty scale. I think there were people legitimately in that difficulty range and just simply cannot adapt to the new scaling. Wild stuff.
@@CosmicCleric maybe so, but if thats the case then they need to make delves a legitimate path to farming crests. Giving 2 crests per delve is going to force these people into the M+ queue and then we get this result.

My comment was more about how Blizzard devs want all content that they create to be used by their customers, as their justification of costs to their management for developing said content. It seems like the devs/management wants their customers to experience the content in a serial manner, and not in (seperate) parallel tracks, where each type of customer may only do some of the content tracks, but not all of the content tracks. @@metsfan1932 they did the right thing for sure. Players like this are where they should be. Best case scenario here is they are forced to learn from their mistakes. The problem is when instead of doing that, they complain and try to get the game to change instead.
I was watching this again, and it happened so fast i didn't even notice it the first time. That hunter died within like the first twenty seconds it looked like, haha
I think early in the dungeon his gear was okay, but I think that first death from the sunder armor debuff broke some of his armor, then for the rest of the dungeon his armor was literally broken. You can see he has semi-decent uptime on spikes and meta from fel devastation. It doesn't show in the UI but you can see it on his character model. I think around the 9:20 mark he had 100% uptime on spikes and some uptime on meta and just got squished because his armor is fully red.
Well I really hope that isn't true. If this guy actually played with his gear broken for more than one pull he is even more clueless than it appears. Can't be.
Hey now - my healer friend and I (Mistweaver & VDH) often queue together. We are the opposite of toxic. Yes, we are in comms together, but only so we can help each other track everything. He's my extra eyes and lends me his amazing situational awareness. Helps us support the group.

@@heythereguysitsMetro yeah I just tried it at the same point, you can use zen flight after you've rolled off the ship from being mounted. Obviously that requires that you have zen flight on a hotkey that you're aware enough to use. I use litemount for all my mounting needs, which includes druid flight form, and used to include zen flight, but it doesn't seem to any longer.
I sent you in a GB 6 somewhere early December, I'd be curious what you think of that.. it wasn't as chaotic as this but it was still a gigantic mess that I think a bug with holy priest angelic form has caused and then the tank faking DC after failing boss mechanics.

Like I spend time watching videos of every dungeon I am planning to step into AS A DPS, how in this day and age is there someone planning to TANK who haven't even looked at ANY of the most BASIC information on a dungeon that they are planning to step into on m+ difficulty? @@heythereguysitsMetro Well, Tbf I learned from the best raid leader around when I decided to start taking end game content seriously back in BfA and HAD to learn quick because I was trying to step into mythic raiding. I think a LOT of these people are coming from the attitude of "I'll just knock out some keys to kill time." So they don't put in the effort needed to succeed because to them it's only a game and only for the lols. They fail to realize that Blizzard created progression content to be hard for a reason, so people could push themselves and get better. It's why they feel entitled to give up because to them it means nothing and they invest nothing of themselves into learning and getting better.
@Robin...222 That's fine and all. But this dungeon is IN THE ROTATION. That means it's available as a normal heroic and mythic zero instance. So that means it's insanely easy to pick up. Going into a dungeon for the first time on ANY mythic plus difficulty is just foolish and somewhat disrespectful to the rest of the people in your group. Doubly so for a tank. It's like trolling and an intentional tanking of the key at that point.
ive noticed alot of tank lack this season even myself as a tank i get asked to run stuff all the time but dont have that kinda availability it is pretty crazy how LITTLE tanks are around and its been this way the whole season in terms of what bliz could do for the lower end of key playing i dont really think they can do anything to remedy any of the issues being faced sadly. as for the new scaling comment i see alot on videos and even people in game the scaling is actually not that bad below 12 its pretty consistent but jumps decently at 12+ due to the affix adding +10% to everything in a dungeon
blizzard devs are just extremly low iq,they destroyed tank survivability,you can get 1 shot as a tank if you pull some packs and dont use cds before even pulling,they survived to much in df for sure,but they just whent deranged in the oposite direction,its not a huge issue for decent players,but new players or just not very good ones get DESTROYED even if they overgear the key
@@gagetheobald8156 ya certainly not seeing those issues at the levels I'm at. Still getting declined and passed over constantly haha. I think the tanks are all just advancing way quicker so a new player goes to ten asap where dps get stuck.
In my fresh alt keys around 8-10s I see tanks do some absolute chad pulls when no one kicks and with no cds or if we even have the group damage to engage that many packs. 100% of the time I can tell we're going to wipe. Are tanks just copying +18 routes and thinking yeah I can do this in a +8 why not?
Hope my key gave you at least some mild entertainment. I have keys like this all week I’ll submit more when I can. Also I noticed later that he had done a 7 GB before but it was almost 47 minutes long. I would love to have seen that key too lol
I was thinking of ideas on how can blizzard help this type of players. I came up with two ways. One make key abilities one shot players at 2s and 3s so it gets burn into them mind to kick certain abilities. Two maybe a tutorial of every dungeon that explains what you should kick and what you should watch out for for every dungeon and if you complete and put a achievement or mount or pet so people actually do it. That's what I came up with so far.
Yeah, low keys are *still* too easy in my opinion you can ignore pretty much every mechanic in 7 and under, which is stupid Blizzard has some sort of phobia for making dungeon mechanics that aren't optional, they can do it fine in raid, where if you fuck up an important mechanic, then you're probably still gonna wipe even on Normal.
Man I had a Mists last night.....You probably woulda shit bricks seeing how ruff it went. Wiped like 7 or 8 times in the maze cuz the BDK couldnt stay up with me PUMPIN him on my HPriest. after the 3rd wipe I was like "Bro you feel like paper." he said Ya well I am a UHDK just literally just swapped for this key. we made it thru the maze (the dobule guardian pull was hell). As we go into Mistcaller's room I said make sure you get the tank only kick. He missed it....4 times in a row. After that the warlock was like im out, and I followed suit. was a +9-+11 ish key, cant really remember off top my head.
That’s what happens when someone doesnt know what their class do, dying that much on a 5 as a tank, doesnt seem like the person was pressing defensives like spikes or fiery brand. Meta should be used a lot more as well, if only for extra dps (if they chose the fel scarred hero talent tree). Also, as fun as it is to press the hunt and travel from one side to another at high speed (guilty of it myself a few times ngl), it’s risky and can get you killed if you’re not ready.
there's also some major rotational issues at play, with his ilvl defensives are pretty optional in 5 with those pulls easily seen in his dps, which would be pretty normal to see if it was dragonflight.
i dont think the dhs not getting on the dragons is necessarily only their fault. usually those two mobs are added into the pull before because they're easy and you dont need to waste dragon damage on them. but there was some crazy shit happening before, with hunter aggroing, wipes etc. and the tank probably got some route from somewhere, but after all those shenanigans forgot those 2 mobs. then after the pull he remembered to pull them, but the other 3 people got pure tunnel vision onto the drakes and just left the dhs. of course the tank could've noticed that at that point, but in the same vein the rest could have noticed the tank pulling those mobs as well. that is my pretty benevolent interpretation of the situation. i think it is an overall group failure in that situation. i dont think the tank doesnt know about the dragons or something. he's just a bit disorganized and the rest of the group tunneled and didn't look at what the others are doing. an overall fail.
Ya you are right. I hadn't considered that tbh. But still you get on the dragon there. It may not be because he doesn't know it exists, but it's still inexperience in the way that you should know they dragons are next after that pack one way or another.
@@heythereguysitsMetro yeah i think this is just general +5 chaos. tank pulls the 2 adds too late, possibly because everyone is stressed out from previous mistakes already, group doesn't notice the tank pulled 2 additional mobs and just leaves him alone. tank could've (maybe should've) gotten on the dragon, or group could've (should've) killed the 2 mobs before getting on the dragon. i just dont think the tank is necessarily more at fault than the rest here. everyone shares the blame here, in my opinion. maybe it's like 60/40 tank vs. group or something.
@@MrAlathiel Gotcha, ya still 100 percent on the tank in my eyes, but I see your point for sure. I guess the question really comes down to how often people fight those two alone without using the dragons on them though. If that's very common, then you'd be more right than I initially give you credit for. But every run I have reviewed either kills them with the dragon or combines them. So hard to know for sure with this small sample size.

Gearing alts this season has been torture and honestly that is not Blizz's fault. The extra crests and stuff we now get help, but not enough to offset how awful some low keys can be. Sometimes I log onto a healer alt and do 1 run which is so exhausting I either go back to a dps or log out. And it's other players making me feel like this, not the game's design. People are always unaware of what they are doing wrong and do not want to be told either. I can log onto my main and list a +10 that people with a high score will queue for for vault, those keys always feel easier than a +4 on an alt. People need to get better sadly, but refuse to listen to advice. We have all been new to the game, or new to m+, but listening to and watching others can get you so far.
Oh I am very familiar with players like this DH. There's a plague of them, even in 10s. I guess they are people trying to gain from tank shortage, but they only played tanks in previous expansions. Blizz's tank changes failed. Too many people still think that you only need spammable mitigation on bosses and big defensives in emergency, when the reality is you need spammavle mitigation all the time and defensives for tankbusters. Instead of adjusting people just bruteforce it with tank ilvl and healing ilvl. I'm trying to finish my remaining 10s this week and it is so common, all depletes this week were tanks' fault due to improper use of defensives trying to bruteforce mechs with my healing. I mean there's no fucking way I should need to do 1.5mil hps on every trash pack in a 10, they are not that hard. It's the same shit every time. 13 DemonSpikes cast in a 40 min run(DB deplete on 2nd boss, tank kept dying to tankbuster, tank 618 ilvl), 3 Barksin casts in 38 mins(also DB, tank 622 ilvl, tank couldn't make it past 1st lieutant with his tankbuster), Court, disband on 2nd trashpack as 613 BDK was just getting meleed to death by trash. Only exception was arakara where tank didn't know boss mechs and kept running 1st boss into adds, but he was still taking too much dmg for brewmaster, felt like he never popped fort brew. And worst part is that those people do not learn. They blame healer for not healing them, get 639 healer instead to carry them to their weekly vault in Siege(because you can healcheck that dungeon), pop better gear and go again thinking now they can outstat the skillcheck.
I don't think he missed dragons or didn't know about them, I encountered this a lot in low GB keys, basically tanks just pull these 2 mobs separately so probably he was planning to do 2 of them and then drakes Also don't forget your own words, tank should be ahead of the party, but in this case party assumed that they are doing drakes
Yea I have done this when I forget to pull those 2 with the other pack but I think if you forget its best to just kill them when you get back as most people automatically go to the drakes.
@@deludedspangle oh really? That's strange. You can just kill them with the dragons. People only pull them because it's inefficient to use the dragons on them and CDs are up for that third pull again. I guess you are probably right but it's still a bad play.
1:25 pulling that dragon into the room is literally the standard way in EU if you ask me :D I agree this instance is painful to tank. Mostly the last boss is pain. Huge tank buster with knockback you have to aim away from tentacles + aoe pack you can't properly aggro because of adds being all over more or less overlapping. Yeaah fuck that :D
We disagree on a lot of things but the main problem with the low keys is, nothing really kills you if you have a relatively decent healer or tank or both. These earth bolts going of is not a problem for most players until they hit the higher keys and by that point its too late. Blizzard does not make a decent enough learning curve for players to push into the higher keys as learning to become a better player is not naturally in game but mostly doing external research, downloading external addons/weakauras and watching better players. A lot, not all, players between the +2 and +11 range either don't know or don't care about improving by doing all this extra external research to become better. Edit: Example in this very video. This paladin has no interrupts tracked, no cds tracked from the other players to know if they have defensive available or not to help lay on hands or sack or anything. No mob timers to indicate when AOE abilities are happening.
Ngl i started tanking on my druid and i can confirm a few things in the past few days. i have done 2-3-4 keys - mage main higher so have some exp - and so far Defensives? What are those?! Intrerupt?! never heard of that. Mechanics? Is that food?! all jokes aside keys in the 2-6 range have felt worse this tier than ever before. you get a few keys here and there where most are alts and have a clue of what to do but most are ... the most painfull shit i have ever done in this game. I left a 3 and said "some of you never deserve to do m+" and after i left i felt fucking bad and whispered everyone in that key about it to which most flamed me and they ware right. i expected players more from a 3 just cause i know how to do 13s. it's not the same comunity doing these keys and people have to understand that.

Honestly thank god i made friends to play with, even if it is one or two, it can transform the group, I decided to gear a shaman and I jumped directly in 10s with my resto, I sincerely don't think I can suffer with this, at this point I don't even know what to say that can fix the problem, except maybe some training grounds for each M+ dungeon where you go pack by the pack with indication, etc that tell you what everything does I don't know man, I honestly shocked each time I see this type of video from you, I can't believe people are really this bad
I'm not a very old player in WoW, so can someone please explain this conversation about: "This guy is from XYZ realm". Are there realms where the majority of players are bad? Is that it? Why is that?
Ya since they added Mythic+ and let all realms interact with each other there has been a bit of a collective awareness that there are outliers within a few realms. Its a complicated topic, but if you don't already witness it, then its something you can mostly ignore. If years from now you never experience it, then that means you beat the trends.
Vdh here, think a big issue is most people play the fel scarred hero talents which are so dependent on your demon form windows for survival. It’s possible to do well with it obviously but I very much preferred the Aldrachi reaver hero tree because of all of its mitigation capability that you could keep pretty good (75-80%) uptime on and fill in the gaps with meta. It’s less visually resplendent and more rotationally complex and takes some getting used to so people don’t play it nearly as much. But it takes away your complete reliance on demon form and allows you to get through keys with a mediocre healer/kill bosses by yourself if the group wipes. Just my 2¢
@@whokilledkenny67 the issue with VDH is that it's super weak defensively compared to other tanks, a dungeon that's super difficult on vdh was super easy on my paladin. I tanked 10s on both chars at roughly 600 ilvl, and on the VDH, literally any mistake on the defensive usage was gauranteed death, there was 0 room for error. while on the protection paladin i was just cruising ik prot paladin is meta rn, but that's due in large part to the utility and damage, VDH is insanely squishy imo, especially coming out of dragonflight
@@nymphia21 what does this have to do with my point? It sounds like what you’re talking about is FS. I’ve done plenty of 10s on VDH with AR and I’m speaking through experience when I say it is the tankier hero talent and superior to FS in every way when it comes to mitigation uptime and healer independence. It just requires the tank to have half a brain to play well.
This season is just too hard for pugs. From not kicking casts, to standing in avoidable damage, to tanks not using defensives, to healers not healing enough, to dps just not doing enough dps to time the key. S4 of DF even after the squish was no where near this bad. I don’t know what the main cause is really

@Aegea291 I don't see any evidence it has personally. We had just as many wild runs submitted in season four. The big difference though is the keys are much harder than they are with the old affixes.
The Latin America servers seem to me to tend to have players only in the extremes. They're either really good or really bad, and this is a text book example of the latter.
Pugs like that are why I default to presumption of both maximum incompetence and maximum malice. I'm not perfect, but jesus fucking CHRIST why are people doing mid keys (mid in this case being hero track crests) without having the absolute basic idea of mechanics. I've seen several tanks in grim batol not hop on the dragons to do damage and just derp right into the pull without realizing there's a nice little minigame to eliminate as much trash health as possible before the first boss. Perfection isn't expected, but the bar's 6 feet under the dirt in hell and people still want to tunnel under it.
People in low keys are those people who take a test and expect to Christmas tree it and pass it. People who want to pass or atleast do well on their tests will study and do research. If only there were a dungeon journal or maybe a billion videos on youtube that show you stats and mechanics....
At some point people have to be responsible for their own progression. There really isn't any excuse when you can run all the season 1 dungeons on HEROIC and M0 difficulties to learn mechs before going in on M+.
I play on Stormrage... I used to be in the #2 guild on this server in BfA. To hear "Stormrage is where some of the Azralon people went" makes me so anxious lmao!
I'm not surprised how that run went. I think there are a bit of bad players/new players in wow. Your vocabulary seems that you are highly surprised at this. If you are already doing 10s or higher M+ with no problems then you are pushing into the top 10% player base. Low keys 2 - 9 are like equivalent to normal/heroic progression for raiding but in M+. M+5s I think is near the beginning into Heroic as the crest tier states if I recall it correctly. Blizzard can't force the game to teach these kind of players how to play their role, because people complained in the past. They didn't want a gate keeper to prevent them from playing/enjoying the game their way. Mists taught Blizzard not to do that. (I don't know when you started, but during Mists of Pandara there was a requirement to reach silver in the proving grounds just to queue for heroic 5s. People complained and raged about having to do it.). So, instead Blizzard creates what they can for these type of players to suit their playstyle, so they can stay engaged with the game. If they have fun playing this way then so be it. All blizzard can really do is try to mitigate how other players affect the more experienced players when playing the game.
Not to sound elitist: The ilvl delves provided has made people who normally wouldn’t run keys try them. While that was probably Blizzard’s intent: it leads to this. Mythic Plus can be challenging. It’s not forgiving. You can’t “hide” in the group like you can in a raid. I’m not sure how to fix this. You either trivialize the content (which I am against) or this keeps happening. Some people just don’t learn mechanics. How do you think they should address the influx of non-traditional M+ players?
They shouldn't. Those players just need to learn from their mistakes. As we see here this is entirely player made difficulty. Hopefully this player will learn from this.
@ I hope so. I’ve attempted the generic “if you guys have questions- ask” kind of thing and it’s either crickets or defensive responses. Lower keys are wild. I’ve leveled every tank and healer so I’ve seen the entire spectrum of players lol. Great video once again.
One of the most dangerous things you can find in wow. Ragnaros player. 10 years of wow and I have yet to complete a five or higher key with a Ragnaros player.
@@konekopon2865 it's more then that. I never had a good experience with someone from ragnarous. To many terrible experiences. If everyone is know has had multiple bad experiences with rag players. It tarnish the server as a whole and thats why I won't risk it. Maybe they have good players but there few and to far in between.
Kazzak, Tarren Mill and Ragnaros are the 3 realms i refuse to invite (EU) more than half of my keys that have been ruined have been large in part due to someone from one of those realms. (a lot of) Kazzak players are super trigger happy when it comes to the leave button (a lot of) the Tarren Mill players are just easily riled up, and hurl the least creative insults imaginable as the first reaction to anything going wrong and (a lot of) Ragnaros players are just... ragnaros players..
complaining about players unable to play low keys is af if the same people forgot what happened in cata heroics, but it was glorious. i liked cata heroics prenerf, so much that i recrafted the tankgear just to have something to do back then.

@@skylarius3757 I don't think it works like that. Pretty sure you have a debuff after you get on one. Otherwise one player would do all four while the tank and healer gathers all the mobs.

its just bad players that dont really care to get better. The are probably in decent guilds that have some good players that also carry them through keys. do you think M+ should have some sort of barrier to entry? im not really sure how you can make players want to be better and make the system have ease of access.
@@TheUnderJaker ya nothing can be done really. If you get battered so bad that your gear breaks and you quit the run over it, then you should know you need to learn and improve. If you DONT, then you are just beyond help.
I think most of the people who know the dungeons are doing higher keys and avoid low keys, so who is left on the low keys? People who don't know the dungeon, and poor saps who may know but are not confident or geared on an alt, so they do a lower key. I genuinely think these keys are harder than higher keys, simply because you have people that dont have a clue and are probably not well geared so it's already going to be hard, and made harder. Also, never invite ragnaros. Seen more keys bricked by ragnaros in the last three expansions than any other server and its not close. Something is just off about the culture of that server where they will do bad, brick keys, and have zero concern or care about it. I've even seen ragnaros groups advertise no ragnaros in LFG, it's nuts.

The key was the tank and healers key, I joined, then the DH and Hunter, so not really my choice. I couldn’t have left but you never know. Should have been easy
Stormrage, Illidan and Area 52 have been invaded by players from Ragnaros, Queltalas and Azralon. Since their previous realms have gained a incredible amount of infamy they had to do this in order to get invited to groups. They're still the same trashy players, that doesn't change no matter where they come from.
@@matrix255 oh ya didn't realize about the other realms. I know stormrage had a lot of the top guilds from azralon transfer though. We covered it a lot during shadowlands.
simply remove this player ban this players that dont know or what i do. If it was i would leave the dungeon simple and if i get banned by leaving dungeon i send the picture of a noob player dying to blizzard and ask them if its my fault that i leave dungeon
Dude here's a harsh piece of reality for you. If you leave a dungeon it's ALWAYS your "fault" because leaving a dungeon is a choice YOU make. NOW, if you say to your group that you want to stop and the group agrees that doesn't count towards the ban. IF you leave occasionally that does not count towards the ban. The ONLY time a "leave" counts towards the ban is if it is a UNILATERAL decision made by ONE person to end a key. Otherwise, you made a BINDING agreement to finish the content when you signed up for it and didn't leave before the content began. Be an adult and do what you said you would do or don't sign up at all. It's as simple as that.

I think one of the underlying points one should take from these videos is the importance of progressing yourself and your character(s). You shouldn't be in low keys for too long if you're adamant about pushing keys. Plus, since they joined as a duo, it's a carry. You'll have this even at higher keys. Just with less frequency. I don't think this is an argument against the leaver punishment in any way IMO. On the contrary, it's motivation to get yourself in a situation where you'll be with better players.
That would be like if you queued for a competitive match in literally any game, and then one person on your team was worse than everyone else, and then instead of punishing you for leaving, they should ban the bad player if you are doing keys with terrible players, that's your own fault.

My comment was more about how Blizzard devs want all content that they create to be used by their customers, as their justification of costs to their management for developing said content.
It seems like the devs/management wants their customers to experience the content in a serial manner, and not in (seperate) parallel tracks, where each type of customer may only do some of the content tracks, but not all of the content tracks.

I think early in the dungeon his gear was okay, but I think that first death from the sunder armor debuff broke some of his armor, then for the rest of the dungeon his armor was literally broken. You can see he has semi-decent uptime on spikes and meta from fel devastation. It doesn't show in the UI but you can see it on his character model. I think around the 9:20 mark he had 100% uptime on spikes and some uptime on meta and just got squished because his armor is fully red.
Well I really hope that isn't true. If this guy actually played with his gear broken for more than one pull he is even more clueless than it appears. Can't be.

@@heythereguysitsMetro yeah I just tried it at the same point, you can use zen flight after you've rolled off the ship from being mounted. Obviously that requires that you have zen flight on a hotkey that you're aware enough to use. I use litemount for all my mounting needs, which includes druid flight form, and used to include zen flight, but it doesn't seem to any longer.

I think a LOT of these people are coming from the attitude of "I'll just knock out some keys to kill time." So they don't put in the effort needed to succeed because to them it's only a game and only for the lols. They fail to realize that Blizzard created progression content to be hard for a reason, so people could push themselves and get better. It's why they feel entitled to give up because to them it means nothing and they invest nothing of themselves into learning and getting better.

@Robin...222 That's fine and all. But this dungeon is IN THE ROTATION. That means it's available as a normal heroic and mythic zero instance. So that means it's insanely easy to pick up. Going into a dungeon for the first time on ANY mythic plus difficulty is just foolish and somewhat disrespectful to the rest of the people in your group. Doubly so for a tank. It's like trolling and an intentional tanking of the key at that point.

ive noticed alot of tank lack this season even myself as a tank i get asked to run stuff all the time but dont have that kinda availability it is pretty crazy how LITTLE tanks are around and its been this way the whole season in terms of what bliz could do for the lower end of key playing i dont really think they can do anything to remedy any of the issues being faced sadly. as for the new scaling comment i see alot on videos and even people in game the scaling is actually not that bad below 12 its pretty consistent but jumps decently at 12+ due to the affix adding +10% to everything in a dungeon
blizzard devs are just extremly low iq,they destroyed tank survivability,you can get 1 shot as a tank if you pull some packs and dont use cds before even pulling,they survived to much in df for sure,but they just whent deranged in the oposite direction,its not a huge issue for decent players,but new players or just not very good ones get DESTROYED even if they overgear the key

In my fresh alt keys around 8-10s I see tanks do some absolute chad pulls when no one kicks and with no cds or if we even have the group damage to engage that many packs. 100% of the time I can tell we're going to wipe. Are tanks just copying +18 routes and thinking yeah I can do this in a +8 why not?

I was thinking of ideas on how can blizzard help this type of players. I came up with two ways. One make key abilities one shot players at 2s and 3s so it gets burn into them mind to kick certain abilities. Two maybe a tutorial of every dungeon that explains what you should kick and what you should watch out for for every dungeon and if you complete and put a achievement or mount or pet so people actually do it. That's what I came up with so far.

Man I had a Mists last night.....You probably woulda shit bricks seeing how ruff it went. Wiped like 7 or 8 times in the maze cuz the BDK couldnt stay up with me PUMPIN him on my HPriest. after the 3rd wipe I was like "Bro you feel like paper." he said Ya well I am a UHDK just literally just swapped for this key. we made it thru the maze (the dobule guardian pull was hell). As we go into Mistcaller's room I said make sure you get the tank only kick. He missed it....4 times in a row. After that the warlock was like im out, and I followed suit. was a +9-+11 ish key, cant really remember off top my head.

That’s what happens when someone doesnt know what their class do, dying that much on a 5 as a tank, doesnt seem like the person was pressing defensives like spikes or fiery brand. Meta should be used a lot more as well, if only for extra dps (if they chose the fel scarred hero talent tree).
Also, as fun as it is to press the hunt and travel from one side to another at high speed (guilty of it myself a few times ngl), it’s risky and can get you killed if you’re not ready.
there's also some major rotational issues at play, with his ilvl defensives are pretty optional in 5 with those pulls
easily seen in his dps, which would be pretty normal to see if it was dragonflight.

i dont think the dhs not getting on the dragons is necessarily only their fault. usually those two mobs are added into the pull before because they're easy and you dont need to waste dragon damage on them.
but there was some crazy shit happening before, with hunter aggroing, wipes etc. and the tank probably got some route from somewhere, but after all those shenanigans forgot those 2 mobs. then after the pull he remembered to pull them, but the other 3 people got pure tunnel vision onto the drakes and just left the dhs. of course the tank could've noticed that at that point, but in the same vein the rest could have noticed the tank pulling those mobs as well. that is my pretty benevolent interpretation of the situation.
i think it is an overall group failure in that situation. i dont think the tank doesnt know about the dragons or something. he's just a bit disorganized and the rest of the group tunneled and didn't look at what the others are doing. an overall fail.
Ya you are right. I hadn't considered that tbh. But still you get on the dragon there. It may not be because he doesn't know it exists, but it's still inexperience in the way that you should know they dragons are next after that pack one way or another.

tank could've (maybe should've) gotten on the dragon, or group could've (should've) killed the 2 mobs before getting on the dragon.
i just dont think the tank is necessarily more at fault than the rest here. everyone shares the blame here, in my opinion. maybe it's like 60/40 tank vs. group or something.

I guess the question really comes down to how often people fight those two alone without using the dragons on them though. If that's very common, then you'd be more right than I initially give you credit for. But every run I have reviewed either kills them with the dragon or combines them. So hard to know for sure with this small sample size.

Gearing alts this season has been torture and honestly that is not Blizz's fault. The extra crests and stuff we now get help, but not enough to offset how awful some low keys can be. Sometimes I log onto a healer alt and do 1 run which is so exhausting I either go back to a dps or log out. And it's other players making me feel like this, not the game's design. People are always unaware of what they are doing wrong and do not want to be told either. I can log onto my main and list a +10 that people with a high score will queue for for vault, those keys always feel easier than a +4 on an alt. People need to get better sadly, but refuse to listen to advice. We have all been new to the game, or new to m+, but listening to and watching others can get you so far.

Oh I am very familiar with players like this DH. There's a plague of them, even in 10s. I guess they are people trying to gain from tank shortage, but they only played tanks in previous expansions. Blizz's tank changes failed. Too many people still think that you only need spammable mitigation on bosses and big defensives in emergency, when the reality is you need spammavle mitigation all the time and defensives for tankbusters. Instead of adjusting people just bruteforce it with tank ilvl and healing ilvl.
I'm trying to finish my remaining 10s this week and it is so common, all depletes this week were tanks' fault due to improper use of defensives trying to bruteforce mechs with my healing. I mean there's no fucking way I should need to do 1.5mil hps on every trash pack in a 10, they are not that hard. It's the same shit every time. 13 DemonSpikes cast in a 40 min run(DB deplete on 2nd boss, tank kept dying to tankbuster, tank 618 ilvl), 3 Barksin casts in 38 mins(also DB, tank 622 ilvl, tank couldn't make it past 1st lieutant with his tankbuster), Court, disband on 2nd trashpack as 613 BDK was just getting meleed to death by trash. Only exception was arakara where tank didn't know boss mechs and kept running 1st boss into adds, but he was still taking too much dmg for brewmaster, felt like he never popped fort brew.
And worst part is that those people do not learn. They blame healer for not healing them, get 639 healer instead to carry them to their weekly vault in Siege(because you can healcheck that dungeon), pop better gear and go again thinking now they can outstat the skillcheck.
Ya, I really hope this guy is going to learn from this, because it was a mess. Having your gear break then giving up is a wild wild thing.
I don't think he missed dragons or didn't know about them, I encountered this a lot in low GB keys, basically tanks just pull these 2 mobs separately so probably he was planning to do 2 of them and then drakes
Also don't forget your own words, tank should be ahead of the party, but in this case party assumed that they are doing drakes
Yea I have done this when I forget to pull those 2 with the other pack but I think if you forget its best to just kill them when you get back as most people automatically go to the drakes.

I agree this instance is painful to tank. Mostly the last boss is pain. Huge tank buster with knockback you have to aim away from tentacles + aoe pack you can't properly aggro because of adds being all over more or less overlapping. Yeaah fuck that :D

We disagree on a lot of things but the main problem with the low keys is, nothing really kills you if you have a relatively decent healer or tank or both. These earth bolts going of is not a problem for most players until they hit the higher keys and by that point its too late. Blizzard does not make a decent enough learning curve for players to push into the higher keys as learning to become a better player is not naturally in game but mostly doing external research, downloading external addons/weakauras and watching better players. A lot, not all, players between the +2 and +11 range either don't know or don't care about improving by doing all this extra external research to become better.
Edit: Example in this very video. This paladin has no interrupts tracked, no cds tracked from the other players to know if they have defensive available or not to help lay on hands or sack or anything. No mob timers to indicate when AOE abilities are happening.

Ngl i started tanking on my druid and i can confirm a few things in the past few days. i have done 2-3-4 keys - mage main higher so have some exp - and so far Defensives? What are those?! Intrerupt?! never heard of that. Mechanics? Is that food?! all jokes aside keys in the 2-6 range have felt worse this tier than ever before. you get a few keys here and there where most are alts and have a clue of what to do but most are ... the most painfull shit i have ever done in this game. I left a 3 and said "some of you never deserve to do m+" and after i left i felt fucking bad and whispered everyone in that key about it to which most flamed me and they ware right. i expected players more from a 3 just cause i know how to do 13s. it's not the same comunity doing these keys and people have to understand that.

Honestly thank god i made friends to play with, even if it is one or two, it can transform the group, I decided to gear a shaman and I jumped directly in 10s with my resto, I sincerely don't think I can suffer with this, at this point I don't even know what to say that can fix the problem, except maybe some training grounds for each M+ dungeon where you go pack by the pack with indication, etc that tell you what everything does I don't know man, I honestly shocked each time I see this type of video from you, I can't believe people are really this bad

I'm not a very old player in WoW, so can someone please explain this conversation about: "This guy is from XYZ realm". Are there realms where the majority of players are bad? Is that it? Why is that?
Ya since they added Mythic+ and let all realms interact with each other there has been a bit of a collective awareness that there are outliers within a few realms. Its a complicated topic, but if you don't already witness it, then its something you can mostly ignore. If years from now you never experience it, then that means you beat the trends.

Vdh here, think a big issue is most people play the fel scarred hero talents which are so dependent on your demon form windows for survival. It’s possible to do well with it obviously but I very much preferred the Aldrachi reaver hero tree because of all of its mitigation capability that you could keep pretty good (75-80%) uptime on and fill in the gaps with meta. It’s less visually resplendent and more rotationally complex and takes some getting used to so people don’t play it nearly as much. But it takes away your complete reliance on demon form and allows you to get through keys with a mediocre healer/kill bosses by yourself if the group wipes. Just my 2¢
@@whokilledkenny67 the issue with VDH is that it's super weak defensively compared to other tanks, a dungeon that's super difficult on vdh was super easy on my paladin.
I tanked 10s on both chars at roughly 600 ilvl, and on the VDH, literally any mistake on the defensive usage was gauranteed death, there was 0 room for error.
while on the protection paladin i was just cruising
ik prot paladin is meta rn, but that's due in large part to the utility and damage, VDH is insanely squishy imo, especially coming out of dragonflight

I’ve done plenty of 10s on VDH with AR and I’m speaking through experience when I say it is the tankier hero talent and superior to FS in every way when it comes to mitigation uptime and healer independence. It just requires the tank to have half a brain to play well.

This season is just too hard for pugs. From not kicking casts, to standing in avoidable damage, to tanks not using defensives, to healers not healing enough, to dps just not doing enough dps to time the key. S4 of DF even after the squish was no where near this bad. I don’t know what the main cause is really

The Latin America servers seem to me to tend to have players only in the extremes. They're either really good or really bad, and this is a text book example of the latter.

Pugs like that are why I default to presumption of both maximum incompetence and maximum malice. I'm not perfect, but jesus fucking CHRIST why are people doing mid keys (mid in this case being hero track crests) without having the absolute basic idea of mechanics. I've seen several tanks in grim batol not hop on the dragons to do damage and just derp right into the pull without realizing there's a nice little minigame to eliminate as much trash health as possible before the first boss.
Perfection isn't expected, but the bar's 6 feet under the dirt in hell and people still want to tunnel under it.

People in low keys are those people who take a test and expect to Christmas tree it and pass it. People who want to pass or atleast do well on their tests will study and do research. If only there were a dungeon journal or maybe a billion videos on youtube that show you stats and mechanics....

I'm not surprised how that run went. I think there are a bit of bad players/new players in wow. Your vocabulary seems that you are highly surprised at this. If you are already doing 10s or higher M+ with no problems then you are pushing into the top 10% player base. Low keys 2 - 9 are like equivalent to normal/heroic progression for raiding but in M+.
M+5s I think is near the beginning into Heroic as the crest tier states if I recall it correctly. Blizzard can't force the game to teach these kind of players how to play their role, because people complained in the past. They didn't want a gate keeper to prevent them from playing/enjoying the game their way. Mists taught Blizzard not to do that. (I don't know when you started, but during Mists of Pandara there was a requirement to reach silver in the proving grounds just to queue for heroic 5s. People complained and raged about having to do it.). So, instead Blizzard creates what they can for these type of players to suit their playstyle, so they can stay engaged with the game. If they have fun playing this way then so be it. All blizzard can really do is try to mitigate how other players affect the more experienced players when playing the game.
I'm always surprised with HOW it unfolds. These low keys manage to find new ways to surprise me every time haha
Not to sound elitist: The ilvl delves provided has made people who normally wouldn’t run keys try them. While that was probably Blizzard’s intent: it leads to this.
Mythic Plus can be challenging. It’s not forgiving. You can’t “hide” in the group like you can in a raid. I’m not sure how to fix this. You either trivialize the content (which I am against) or this keeps happening. Some people just don’t learn mechanics.
How do you think they should address the influx of non-traditional M+ players?
They shouldn't. Those players just need to learn from their mistakes. As we see here this is entirely player made difficulty. Hopefully this player will learn from this.
@ I hope so. I’ve attempted the generic “if you guys have questions- ask” kind of thing and it’s either crickets or defensive responses. Lower keys are wild. I’ve leveled every tank and healer so I’ve seen the entire spectrum of players lol. Great video once again.
One of the most dangerous things you can find in wow. Ragnaros player. 10 years of wow and I have yet to complete a five or higher key with a Ragnaros player.

@@konekopon2865 it's more then that. I never had a good experience with someone from ragnarous. To many terrible experiences. If everyone is know has had multiple bad experiences with rag players. It tarnish the server as a whole and thats why I won't risk it. Maybe they have good players but there few and to far in between.
Kazzak, Tarren Mill and Ragnaros are the 3 realms i refuse to invite (EU)
more than half of my keys that have been ruined have been large in part due to someone from one of those realms.
(a lot of) Kazzak players are super trigger happy when it comes to the leave button
(a lot of) the Tarren Mill players are just easily riled up, and hurl the least creative insults imaginable as the first reaction to anything going wrong
and (a lot of) Ragnaros players are just... ragnaros players..
In my experience it’s either they are some insane gamers or absolute dog water, no middle ground
complaining about players unable to play low keys is af if the same people forgot what happened in cata heroics, but it was glorious. i liked cata heroics prenerf, so much that i recrafted the tankgear just to have something to do back then.
I remember back then we had to use CC on trash or we would wipe.
It was hilarious to run them, after facerolling wotlk dungs, and wiping on first pulls xd it was that time to put cc skills back on the bars

@@skylarius3757 I don't think it works like that. Pretty sure you have a debuff after you get on one. Otherwise one player would do all four while the tank and healer gathers all the mobs.

The are probably in decent guilds that have some good players that also carry them through keys. do you think M+ should have some sort of barrier to entry? im not really sure how you can make players want to be better and make the system have ease of access.
@@TheUnderJaker ya nothing can be done really. If you get battered so bad that your gear breaks and you quit the run over it, then you should know you need to learn and improve.
If you DONT, then you are just beyond help.
I think most of the people who know the dungeons are doing higher keys and avoid low keys, so who is left on the low keys? People who don't know the dungeon, and poor saps who may know but are not confident or geared on an alt, so they do a lower key. I genuinely think these keys are harder than higher keys, simply because you have people that dont have a clue and are probably not well geared so it's already going to be hard, and made harder. Also, never invite ragnaros. Seen more keys bricked by ragnaros in the last three expansions than any other server and its not close. Something is just off about the culture of that server where they will do bad, brick keys, and have zero concern or care about it. I've even seen ragnaros groups advertise no ragnaros in LFG, it's nuts.
@@typicalzergling9955 I feel this comment so much. I started this expansion on my Mage only 3 weeks ago, and now I'm farming +8 keys. And I swear to god these +8 keys are way easier than much lower +4 keys I was doing last week. No joke, being 100% serious lol 😂
100 percent, lower keys are harder due to the population of players.
The key was the tank and healers key, I joined, then the DH and Hunter, so not really my choice. I couldn’t have left but you never know. Should have been easy
Stormrage, Illidan and Area 52 have been invaded by players from Ragnaros, Queltalas and Azralon. Since their previous realms have gained a incredible amount of infamy they had to do this in order to get invited to groups.
They're still the same trashy players, that doesn't change no matter where they come from.

simply remove this player ban this players that dont know or what i do. If it was i would leave the dungeon simple and if i get banned by leaving dungeon i send the picture of a noob player dying to blizzard and ask them if its my fault that i leave dungeon
Dude here's a harsh piece of reality for you. If you leave a dungeon it's ALWAYS your "fault" because leaving a dungeon is a choice YOU make. NOW, if you say to your group that you want to stop and the group agrees that doesn't count towards the ban. IF you leave occasionally that does not count towards the ban. The ONLY time a "leave" counts towards the ban is if it is a UNILATERAL decision made by ONE person to end a key. Otherwise, you made a BINDING agreement to finish the content when you signed up for it and didn't leave before the content began. Be an adult and do what you said you would do or don't sign up at all. It's as simple as that.

I think one of the underlying points one should take from these videos is the importance of progressing yourself and your character(s). You shouldn't be in low keys for too long if you're adamant about pushing keys.
Plus, since they joined as a duo, it's a carry. You'll have this even at higher keys. Just with less frequency.
I don't think this is an argument against the leaver punishment in any way IMO. On the contrary, it's motivation to get yourself in a situation where you'll be with better players.
That would be like if you queued for a competitive match in literally any game, and then one person on your team was worse than everyone else, and then instead of punishing you for leaving, they should ban the bad player
if you are doing keys with terrible players, that's your own fault.
