Just discovered this show a few weeks ago and could not be more hooked and/or obsessed with it and Pete. Gone much too soon.
In my job i come across a lot of men of all walks of life. I cannot still find a man that has flashing brown eyes, beautiful shiny hair and smile to melt any heart, Pete Duel there is a lot to live up to you out there still. Rest softly.

Michele D. IVES-DAVESS - I truly know what you mean about everything that you have said. Peter/Heyes was my last crush, not the first, but still not forgotten. And the only one that I cared more about was My first, and, Thank God, he is one of the few still alive. So yes, there are those who rate loveing for a lifetime and Pete Deuel was one of them.
Loved this series as a kid. As already said they had a great chemistry on screen and it made me laugh then as it does now. Sometimes it was just the expression shared that said it all. So sad it ended in such a way.
It was the days before downloads,tv recording was an expensive option and if you did not get in front of the set in time,you'd miss it and have to rely on your school friends to bring you up to date.
As another writer said,there was a chemistry between Ben Murphy and Pete Duel and for me that shone from the screen. They made it real, two outlaws hoping for amnesty in the Wild West.
It came as quite a shock when Pete died,the first time a death would affect me. Even though it was a tv star it was personal and made me sad for a while.
Ben Murphy tried to carry on but it was obvious his right hand was missing.
I could not watch anymore of it anyway,Pete was gone and so had the reason to watch it.
Don't even know to this day if they got amnesty or not.
Now I have discovered the re runs on TV and will once more enjoy what an eager faced wide eyed new teenager looked forward to every week,"The two most successful outlaws in the history of the west." Thank you HH for putting this video up and thank you Pete,the original Hannibal Hayes, wherever you are.
Some times Mr Duel can totally floor me. Amazing profile, can never get enough of watching him when i have had a bad week at work. Its thanks to these lovely videos that keeps him forefront in our minds and in our hearts, never quiet letting him go. Thank you.

The chemistry these two had was one of the best between 2 actors. Could watch for hours Pete Deul riding a horse. He seemed to do it so naturally, had a good seat (no offense meant).
