One of the coolest actors ever. Irreplaceable. Lost to us much too soon.
It has been 50 years today since that terrible day that we lost Pete and it still hurts. I just wanted to acknowledge Pete today and show that he hasn't been forgotten. Thank you Pete for the joy that you gave us and the way you inspired us. Bless you.

A huge Pete Duel fan, loved alias Smith and Jones. As a teenager, his untimely death so bothered me. I’ve kept his news clipping to this day.
He's adorable ❤️, I was nine when he died. Such an awful ending in the prime of his life.

I don't know how I reached here, I didn't know about this tragedy. I was a kid when I watched the show (there wasn't internet at that time)my TV set was black and white... So sad..

I fell in love with him when I was 11 in 1971. His birthday was 24 Feb and mine is 26 Feb. Somehow I just felt a spiritual connection with him. I still do today..

So sad after all these years. Not sure if 50 years later if any head way has been made in treating clinical depression.
I was 13 almost 14 when he died. I would be 14 on Jan. 21. On Jan 23, 1972 I met Ben Murphy on a plane that landed in Dallas. I got his autograph. He was with Lee Majors and a bunch of women. I always wondered if Farrah Fawcett was one of those women.

@@juggalohomie73mr I wouldn't doubt that he killed himself either, the more you learn of Hollywood it's more likely that he was killed.If they know you have an Achille heel they will use it against you.You either commit suicide , die of a heart attack , drug over dose , car crash , you name it. It happens if you rebel or don't tow the line .look at all the actors/ actresses/entertainers who have died.

I have read his biography, he killed himself, the question is was it an accident or not. Either way, we'll never know and can only feel sadness for the loss of such a handsome, talented, but troubled soul.
