Imo let's plays should start at very hard (or hard atleast) so that we get a feel for what Aloy gets to go through on a daily basis as the story is going on instead of learning after the story.
I play the first one on ultra hard and have been watching people play the new on on very hard and it just doesn’t seem like it. It looks like the difficulties in the new one are much easier than the first one. It looks like it’s on medium difficulty compared to first game. Just my opinion tho and I haven’t played it yet either
I played the first one on easy mode and the new one on story mode (I’m not a huge gamer, I do it to relax) it was much harder for me to play the new one on story than the old on easy
250 hours and multiple UH playthroughs in each game has shown me that Forbidden West is orders of magnitude more difficult. Not sure where you get the impression that ZD is harder. Literally all you have to do in ZD is freeze any machine and it’s gone in 3 triple notched arrows, maximum. FW requires much more planning for any machine encounter. Hell even Watchers are way tougher in FW.

If he wanted to do it as default as possible in regards to weaponery, then I imagine no mods.
How can I charge arrows, like you? On my Playstation 4 it doesn’t work…
You need to have the overdraw ability unlocked. You get it by upgrading your bow. Hope this helps.

Nope, you have to gather them. But they are pretty easy to find!😁

Just wait, it's a little painful in the beginning until you started getting the better weapons/armor. Had to walk away from so many machine fights

The Tremortusk site to the north pretty much always has 2. Maybe up the difficulty if you want them to spawn more frequently.
