Could I ask what difficulty this fight was on? This A-Spine seemed a LOT less aggressive than the ones I’ve been fighting

Video really Obviously shows an almost real first time approach :) 2 years ago obviously. Anyway with basic weapons even legendary its a tough machine... as shown here. But already with an hunter bow coiled for tearing off is helping a lot. Aiming on weapons and tail doing a lot more damage than this pounding arrows in the machines head :) of course it takes a lot longer. I never felt the slaughterspine a lot more tougher than those other machines. Maybe because throughout my play through i constantly took time to upgrade the weapons? After starting to use the more roping approach game really becomes quite easy. But for me always hunter bow pushing the tear off in any way is very effective.

I had trouble with this one too. And I took all the removable weapons out, and it got even more aggro. It became very difficult to dodge by the end.

one should always deal elemental damage first & then throw explosive spikes. it really does make a difference

idk how you play this, but hes just several arrows with 2000-3000 damage (even in first game and before endgame)

They're fucking annoyingly tanky and aggressive. Not only that but you also can't shoot the sac in the chest which was the go to method for killing them in Frozen Wild dlc, unless you don't need the upgrade mats

Once I use Power Shots and Forgefall it's dead after three shots. I don't even use up ammo

Don't forget apex Fireclaws. In my opinion the second most dangerous enemy in the game. When you don't ambush it and try to fight it head-on it will get damn difficult.

it's basically spinosaur concept of the machine. he even lures around water areas, what he usally did millions years ago. clawstrider is basically velociraptor ;) for every dino fan this game gives another lvl of enjoyment.

You really need look for weakspots and components to tear, then actually try to aim. You made this look harder than it needed to be

i know you can fight these guys at any time but where is the side quest for it

Seeing how Horizon 2 has 47 machine types, Horizon 3 is probably gonna have over 70 of them. And since a Horus was "just" a DLC boss, makes you wonder what they have in store for the next "big" game. It's gonna be nuts. Nemesis machines, FZ/Hephaestus hybrids, oh my.

Slaughterspines and Tremortusks are my favourite machines to fight in this game since the battle music makes it exhilarating on another level. Gives me the chills while fighting these beasts.

lol is dangerous bc you hunt it on the most bizarre why ppl trying to go near to grab the cannon. This was easy compare to other Apex, since is super slow.
