"Although the Clone Wars were over, some people never seemed to get the message. The worst case of denial was Gizor Dellso, a Geonosian Separatist who'd somehow escaped Lord Vader's efforts to wipe out the remnants of the CIS. Lord Vader tracked him to Mustafar, and brought us in to finish the job. It seemed like a simple enough mission, but when we saw the fleet of droid ships, hovering over the planet, we suddenly realized that Delso's denial mechanisms were a little more dangerous than we'd imagined."

"By the time we'd made our way to the molten surface of Mustafar, it was apparent that Delso had been a busy little bug. All by his lonesome he'd found a previously-hidden droid factory, fired it up and cranked out his own private army of battle droids. Needless to say, this got the men of the 501st ... a little hot under the helmet, and not just because of all that lava. Truth be told we'd all had our fill of those gear heads during the war, and we couldn't stomach the thought of going through another one. So we blew them up -- blew up the droids, blew up the factory ... damn near blew up the planet."
Gizor Delso had the best hold out. It took the 501st, and massive casualties in both space and ground, in order to crush his holdout. One Geonosian caused the Empire so much trouble that they dedicated Vader's Fist to take him down, one bug did all of that. That just shows how much of a badass Gizor Delso was.
Those missions in BF2(2005) were an absolute pain, but were so satisfying and enjoyable to finally win and fight in a nostalgic battle of Clones and Droids. Only without the machinations of Sidious to hold both sides back.
Both sides went all out, and it was so incredibly bloody. When going all out, both sides stopped at nothing to achieve victory.
    And it was glorious!

If the Separatists also accepted recruit some across the Galaxy, the Republic wouldn't have stood much of a chance. Case in point, the Clones were trained to fight against droids, not organics. Even when they do fight against organic resistance groups that fight with the Separatists, they hated it so much. While those few that did where largely driven to near economic collapse in order to fund the droid armies. That’s one of the things I really like about the Clone Wars as it shows just how masterfully Palpatine manipulated the whole affair to ensure that things would always play out in his favor.

Most battles in the Clone Wars were fought between Planetary Defense Forces against other Planetary Defense Forces whithout a single droid or clone in sight.
The clones were not trained to fight only against droids, their training took place way before they even knew they would be going up against an army of battle droids and the ones that were born during the conflict entered service way after it had started.

It comes from the video game Star Wars Rogue Squardron III: Rebel strike. It’s from the Relics of Geonosis mission, specifically the foot-combat section. Upon landing, the battle droids open fire upon Wedge, R5, and crashed Imperials, who also use a LAAT/I Gunship, which was piloted by Sarkli.

@@ratte6090 The novel, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader.
Don't have the actual book myself, but I've read about all that happened on Wookiepedia, as well as watched a video or two by Star Wars UA-camrs on some aspects of it, and it sounded pretty awesome. Fun fact, in Legends this was how Obi-Wan learned Anakin had survived, since the outcome of the battle was broadcasted on the Holonews on many planets, even Tatooine, to scare people into not resisting the Empire, and the broadcast mentioned how Darth Vader led the Imperil forces and killed 50 Jedi, that last bit was, of course, propganda as there were only 8 Jedi on the planet and Vvader only killed 3 as the other 5 escaped.

I love the CIS it was always my favorite faction as a kid. I love that, since they are droids, they can almost entirely be restored given a good enough enemy or ally or whatever. The droids are not really good nor evil and its epic. Kalani proved that even further, the droids deserve so much more, id even like a cis or droid perspective show or movie.

You know knowing many separatists joined the rebels against empire I don't think we ever learned how the new Republic treated them? We're they allowed to not be part of the new Republic? Did they decide to join them, or were they not given any choice

At least in canon they have two separate governments that NR had border disputes with. One is full-on corporate side of the Separatists, the other are just normal Separatists. So Separatists even separated from themselves because they got screwed over by corporations.

In the end, the Confederacy of Independent Star Systems fought the ongoing colonization of the core worlds of the Republic to their last stand. Both inorganic and organic forces of the Separatists are battle hardened guerilla fighters and warriors fighting against Clones, the Jedi and the storm troopers of the Empire.

He’s referring to the Rebel Alliance but there was also two different Separatist successor governments formed after the battle of Endor in the new canon, (The Confederacy of Corporate Systems and the New Separatist Union) though as of yet we know virtually nothing about them other then the fact that they exist (or existed anyway) in the immediate aftermath of the GCW.

This was a big oversite on the remaining CIS forces hold outs. They shoulda fought to join up an combine forces with the Rebels or worked with them to fight the Empire however they could.
An is it really a "kill" or "deactivation" command/switch if your product can decide "nope, denied I'm not doing that... I refuse.."
That's like telling your random house appliances to do something like stop overcooking your food or turn up the temp on the fridge food is freezing too much.. an they tell you "no"

There was a part in the video where some CIS forces did rally up and join together to fight the Empire, but it simply wasn't enough because they were heavily outgunned and outnumbered.
And technically it can be classified as a deactivation command as while some products did refuse to shut down or got reactivated, 90% of the C.I.S did get deactivated and stayed that way.

I would love to see a new Dave Filoni animated show about the rebel alliance. "Star Wars: Alliance Anthologies" Where it just starts taking characters back out of legends, and telling of key moments in the Rebellions history. The Bothan Raid to get the Death Star plans, the tactics different cells used, a few of the big victories and defeats.
I'd also love to see a show diving more into the fully-established empire, maybe 10-8BBY, that delves into how many did join to help make the galaxy peaceful... of course, only to find out that the order they are supporting isn't the best solution. The Hand of Judgement (the five stormtrooper deserters) would make a great intro. Wouldn't be exactly like Bad Batch, as the Stormtroopers did believe in the imperial cause from the get-go. They also tried to keep up their vision of the empire when they left, taking their version of imperial justice to remote places.

The Bad Batch should have followed Clone Force 99 serving The Empire until they truly realized how fucked The Empire was.
    • Following The Bad Batch while they serve The Empire longer, seeing how The Clones are treated, but different Clones Legions and Companies receive different prototype Transitional Stormtrooper armor, and experimental weapons in their fight against Separatist Holdouts and even Jedi Resistance.
    • Slowly, Clone Force 99 becomes disillusioned with The Empire after witnessing Phase Zero Dark Troopers AND other suspicious activity by the new order.
    • Then and only then do The Bad Batch leave The Empire, with the Clones at this point beginningto be phased out.
The Rise of The Empire is a unique era that is heavily temporary, if you fast forward through the little events that make it so fascinating, you rush right back into The Empire vs Rebels which last at least a good 15 years or so.
Let's explore the early weapons, armor and vehicles The Empire tested and played with before being phased out for what you see by the time of a New Hope and Rebels.
I'm just ranting, but man do I love Legends for how they stretched out Clone service and interesting plots like a seppie holdout on Mustafar and so on.
