I never would have guessed a pool cost that much. Our house came with the pool. It is a lot of work but nice to have.

What’s nice about technology and creative humans is that they are always evolving and there are several options that are quicker installs and less expensive. Recently I’ve stumbled onto pools made out of storage containers that are really cool. Might be an option for certain designs.❤️

    Hello Bobby,
I have a lot of large container plants in and around my yard. I have learned that the hand truck a.k.a. hand dollie is your best buddy for moving the large planters around. Good thing of container plantings is the ability of moving them around to different locations.

Great video - would help to give an idea of location when giving these prices - they can change dramatically from state to state.

@Dr. Jimmy Rustlan. Thank you very much for the comment and watching! I live in St. Louis, MO so I would say that is the middle of the market.

I thought that you were going to give a guide to the price of the design work, as in an architect's fees. I watched it anyway and wasn't surprised to find out that pools can be expensive.

Not sure where you’re located but this is extremely high! I live in Florida and for 75-80k you can get a beautiful pool package including landscaping and a lanai.

Florida is definitely a different market. I live in St. Louis, MO. Pools here go for a premium. Only a few companies in town that really do a great job and with Covid EVERYONE wants a pool now so pricing is a premium. Thank you for the comment and watching!

Bobby, this was very helpful. At 7m mark, I see a transparent wall. I am thinking about having that around my backyard to provide protection, without losing the view. Can you share what they cost and are they sturdy?

Interesting! Many times it depends upon the height, thickness, and the hardware/posts used to support the panels. My best advice is to contact a local glass company and tell them what you want and they’ll be able to take it from there.💪

Ok I'm going to binge watch all your videos! This came across my life for a reason 😂..... We're just starting to look at pools. We have a very big backyard ( terraced) my husband and I have been doing a lot of the work( landscaping) but how do we save on the hardscape around the pool? We have a retaining wall , so my thought was if we don't butt the pool up to the wall we can save $$$ by leaving the wall as is for now then focus on hardscape around pool ( 14x25). Ideas??

Thank you and that may be a possibility. However, I think I would need to put my eyes on the space to know if that is for certain. If you want, go over to my website and under the get started Tab you can schedule a consultation with me. I can look through photos and go through the process with you on what I think needs to happen. Hope to talk to you soon!

I think your budget is realistic...I'd estimate $100K to $125K depending on the company and how busy they are.

Hey Bobby you, have videos on pond design

    • @BobbyKDesigns
      @BobbyKDesigns  2 роки тому

I used to install ponds but stick to water features like bubbling boulders, urns, and unique focal points. In my archive of videos I do believe I have a video on how to replace a pond liner.

Just discovered your channel, we just got an in ground pool and now we need to do landscaping. We went to a professional landscaping company and I actually thought I was gonna have a stroke when he told us the cost. 40,000😳😳. What the heck….seriously??? We have not committed yet….I’m searching you tube to see if I’m getting ripped off…🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️…… but it’s hard to tell, prob bc I know nothing about landscaping.

For someone who’s not a millionaire, Spending more than 20k on a pool is outrageous to me!! I think you Americans like to over complicate things. I’ve learnt the whole process myself including collecting pebbles from rivers and beaches and use my selfmade sieve for pebble consistency. I can buy 10 bags of Portland white cement, collect pebbles(and they are just as good as pebbletec‘s I have seen it myself), some Color and basic knowledge of plumbing which is notoriously easy. Excavating, plastering and all need skill but in my experience, skill equates to interest.
Also I can’t believe you said that the seating area and stepping stones costs up to 10k! I think people need to learn some skills because this is not good advice
