I am caregiver for my 96 year old mom who has dementia and I watch a UA-camr doctor who I recently took a live workshop with. She's a psychologist who specializes in geriatrics and dementia. One big thing I got from the workshops was her "buffet plate" lesson. When we deal with dementia there are many undesirable behaviors, comments, attitudes, opinions, comments, etc. At a buffet, we don't load our plate with stuff we don't like so in life, don't load your plate with stuff you don't like. Take all the great stuff, the good comments, the enlightening moments etc. and leave the rest behind. If you find your plate full of yucky stuff, go back and get a clean plate and start over. I really liked this analogy and have really tried to use it daily. Choose happiness and leave the rest behind.

There are people who ask for an opinion and when you give it, they have a problem. Most of the time, these are difficult folks who like to verbally spar with you. I appreciate your reviews; knowledge is power and can save you lots of money. Also, everyone's skin is different so your dry skin might still be different than my skin. I'm also older than you and certain products just don't work for me anymore. I did watch that documentary a few years ago and it was eye opening, particularly when it comes to the counterfeit products that could be harmful to your skin and eyes. As always, thanks so much!

This MAY be the first time I've commented on one of your videos but please know that I thoroughly enjoy them all! I appreciate HONESTY about the products you try. You have saved me money when you don't like a product and tell us why because it may be that I have the same issue. I do take into account that our skin types and coloring are different and proceed accordingly. I've never felt that you were trying to sell me something...I take everything you say as a "review," not a "sales pitch," and am surprised that any viewer would do otherwise. Companies need to do more to help crack down on these fake products. I always try and buy from Amazon only if it’s the company page. I think that helps avoid scams. I’ve had waist length and I’ve been bald. So I consider anything shoulder length hair long. Unfortunately the more views could bring trolls. Honesty is more important than saying you like everything. You’re not a negative person, if you were I wouldn’t watch. That was my concern with the shark, it looked bulky/heavy.
I don't know why but whenever I watch your videos, they remind me about the old days of youtube where people were just talking and sharing about makeup and skincare, just for fun..missing those days and thanks to you for being real..

I have a hard time watching an influencer review a product or subscription box a company sent them. I feel in many cases they aren’t being honest with their reviews and why would they be, if they mention they don’t like something that company will stop sending them free stuff. I don’t make comments on these peoples channels, I just stop watching them. I like it when you give an honest review. It saves me time and energy when looking for products for myself. I have purchased many items (especially Christmas presents) per your recommendation and I thank you for your honest feedback.

I’ll never understand why some people in this world actually seem to enjoy being mean and/ or negative towards others. You certainly don’t deserve to be treated that way and I’m so sorry that it’s something you’ve had to deal with. As far as a replace for the Eucerin lotion, I use Cerave Diabetics Dry Skin Relief, which does have urea in it. Technically, it isn’t a lotion made specifically for the face, but I did some research before buying and it absolutely can be used on the face. Thank you so much for your fun, informative videos. I watch you because you are like a friend. I am 63 and have been blessed with bum lenght hair in a beach sand colour with non-pigment coloured (Canadian spelling) streaks.(that I hated in my younger years...always something to hate) I have never coloured my hair but I am sure grey is around the corner and I might or might not think differently about colouring in the future. I will admit there is a whole long hair community out there that charish their locks. I have just always had long hair. But the great lenghts 😂 of treatments and oils ones go through to have long hair puts them in a whole other catagory of what is long hair. I agree your hair is long just not l-o-n-g as in " wanting super long hair." You have to pin it up, it's long! Keep up the content you keep up smiling😊

New subber here! I Love and appreciate your honesty. Honesty is imperative when “decluttering” your closet, make-up drawer, or life.
I don’t like it when influencers tell you how much they “love” an item or “can’t live with out it” but literally say the same thing about pretty much everything they demo. It kind of compares to decluttering the “closet”. You can’t possibly like everything and you need to be honest about that or the clutter just builds. It’s all chaos and anxiety piling up around you. Without honesty nothing changes for the better, not for the long term. Nice job.

I bought Blinc mascara from Amazon and it was a goopy mess. When I contacted Blinc they said they couldn't vouch for a product sold this way. I didn't know why until today when you explained. And ignore petty comments! You are awesome!
I buy Blinc from Sephora. I like the old, original version, not the voluminizing version. Sometimes it’s a goopy mess too. Sometimes all new mascara is a goopy mess! I will normally take some off the wand with a paper towel until it doesn’t come out goopy anymore.
You are not a negative person but an honest person which I appreciate. Just ignore the naysayers and don't let them rent space in your head. They aren't worth it.

I haven't watched any of your videos in a bit and just checked in with this one. I wish I could say I was surprised by how horrible some of those comments are, but I'm just not. You're a very real and genuine person and say exactly what you think and mean, and in this day and age there's a huge group of people who just can't handle that. Heck, even Wayne Goss, and extraordinarly pro makeup artist on UA-cam, has released similar videos to this 'ranting' about how horrible some people are. To paraphrase, he basically said the if you can't just be decent and kind, then don't say anything and don't watch his videos. He's right. And as for the term "spastic", it's literally defined as "affected by or resempbling spasms". It was a descriptive adjective in general long before it was used as part of a medical description, so use it if it applies. The term is not owned by a small, select group of people who may or may not want to wield it as a weapon of victimhood and you've nothing to be ashamed about. If people want to take offense, there's nothing you can do about it. That's them being weak and insecure. Continue to be true to you, and continue to be genuine. Those are increasingly rare attributes nowadays.

Hi! I have mild roseasea too. I use maybelline green cover stick with a concealer brush and/or cover girl green trueblend color neutralizing trueblend base skin primer. They work really good for me. Your skin will look green with cover stick and slightly green with primer (I can blend it in sometimes enough where I can use it alone …when just staying at home but have people coming by to leave deliveries etc). Foundation covers both products really well. Let me know if you’ve tried these and if they worked for you.

1000% you are not too negative. We all watch UA-cam because we want to learn, so the influencers who just “love“ everything they try, that tells me nothing. I only watch people who have high standards, are picky, show discernment, actually say what they don’t like, as that narrows down the giant world of products for the rest of us.

Not only is honesty the best policy, but why would anyone want you to lie about what you think of a product? I appreciate your opinion and since I’m also 57 with very dry skin, it saves me from wasting time and money on products that probably won’t work for me. And never once did you push a product, and so what if you ever did. People today are so different than when I was growing up.
