As I struggle with the decision to get my license, I find myself asking the question, "What am I going to do, just fly around?" Your videos provide the answer, "Yeah, dammit, I'm just gonna' go fly around - because."
I've been aviating for 36 plus years. Flown many different types of birds. Some designed for long trips that don't do well on short ones. Some slow, some notsoslow. All wonderful. Yep, just flying around is a beautiful thing😁 Doran Jaffas Tailwind W8 N625MS KY70
Doen't matter what you fly; or where you fly or for what purpose. What matters is that you fly! Because once you've tasted it; if you turn away from it; you will regret it till the day you die just like I do! I try not to think about it, because it truly breaks my heart that I can't fly anymore! So don't listen to that little shit in your head telling you to stop. Give him the finger and go enjoy yourself. There will never come a day you will regret it!
You get your license to learn...the $100 sack lunch, $100 burger run and do something similar to Amy's broadcast...go have fun! The ultimate weekend ride...bar-none.
Wow Amy, another gorgeous video! Not only are you an exceptional pilot, but now an extraordinary video expert as well. I love the scenery, visuals and music....nicely done!! Congrats!
wow Amy what a stunning short vlog . I loved the landscape eye candy. I have to say it's great to see you back as i think the videos you produce are simply outstanding, the editing job with the music and differnt angles are captervating. i suggest you could become a film maker in the big leagues. i sincerly hope you do more of these in 2020. I LOVE YOUR WORK !!!!
Learned to fly in a 150 and owned a 152. Loved them! The feeling of putting the first notch of flaps in was my favorite part of the flight! Your plane is beautiful!!!
Sweet Video Amy. I love the 150, I have many hours in them. I love the chirp of the stall warning as you touch down, it brings back many wonderful memories. Keep it up, I look forward to every video you post.
Awesome video Amy. Came across you this morning by pure coincidence and my eyes lit up when I saw your beautiful Cessna. I bought a '76 years ago here in So Cal, got my license in it, then painted it myself in same colors to the one you fly. Our N#'s are close too. Wow the memories! Thank you for posting your flights! My former 150 is in Florida now I believe. I miss it....❤️
Amy, I love your UA-cam Aviation Vlog niche. Excellent scenery and editing, shorter videos with no dialogue. As the song said “you’ve got a lot to say but don’t need words“
That looked like a lot of fun Amy, Cessna 150 tag even if you got lost all your friend had to say is hey follow me/ us, I guess he knew where he was going . It was what ever you wanted to make it a breakfast bunch or a lunch bunch. Up here all we did was to climb into our Grumman AA1A's and fly up to Blairstown. The breakfast's were good and you could sit down and watch the humming birds at the bird feeders which were attached to the eves of the restaurant?? Good times good friends, good memories??
As always, brilliant views, great editing, tasteful music choice and above all, great flying. Funny thing, whenever there was a cockpit view in your video I could literally SMELL it. 150 smells differently then 172 that I fly recently, so it’s definitely not my clothes or anything.
Amy, Your 150 told me she was very homesick, and wanted to come back to her beautiful place by the water in eastern NC. Hope all is going well on the west coast. I remember your videos from just a few years ago when you were learning to fly her. It seems like it was just a few days ago. Wow!!
Wow, that was fun! Never been to the NE part of the country. I wanna go too...😃 Kinda bitter sweet watching that...when my dad was alive, he and I used to fly Cesna 150 and 172s when I was about 12 yo. That feeling of him letting me fly...will never forget it or him. I would love to learn to fly some day.... Thanks Amy for sharing.
@@paulbergman8228 thanks for the reply! Oops, typo, I meant NW. Very nice, fun to go down low I bet. While watching I was always looking around for a place for you to put 'er down if you had an engine out. ;)
Paul Egan Yes, lots of gravel bars being used by backcountry pilots; when flying over the river their tire tracks can be seen. During the high water we’ve had this winter, I’m sure most have been erased until spring flying. 🛬
Beautiful scenery. Well done. Personally, I like the view from the cockpit - what you see. Never crazy about the under-the-wing shots back at the cockpit. N293CT.
Amy - How long is runway 34 at your home field? - I noticed that you appeared to not be using any flap at all on landing at the end of the vid. Back in the day when I owned a FRA 150M Aerobat, I always used a minimum of 25deg flap on landing [very rarely, the full 40deg]
Could you please include your flight plan in these flights? Us Flight Simmers would really like to recreate some of these. :) Longer videos would be cool tool.
This lunchtime airport looks remarkably similar to that famous video of the Bonanza that barely made it over the trees due to high DA and heavy. Is it the same place? Cute guy...
Its always nice to do a lun ch bunch, on a Sunday afternoon flying from Kipper now Central Jersey Regional out to Republic Airport and eating at the 458 bomb Group.I had a great time.
Get tired of these pilots saying " flying for a $100 burger, breakfast, sack lunch, etc" Don't they know most people could never afford and airplane let alone a $100 dollar meal. Please just stick to flying instead of throwing your money in their face. And $200 a night hotel room among other things. I do enjoy the flight VLOGs and the places these people go and the views they share, just not the throwing money around especially when a lot of people are strapped for money. Sorry, left out the loud music in flight videos is terrible.
$100 burger should not be a derogatory term. It’s used a lot as an excuse to go fly and stay proficient, NOT to brag about money. But everyone is entitled to their opinions.
There's always gotta be a contrarian on UA-cam... I really enjoyed the whole movie. And I now need to get current, and find a nice 150. Thanks for the inspiration.

Yeah, to paraphrase a quote on hunting vs. killing: We do not fly in order to get a $100 hamburger. We get a $100 hamburger in order to have flown.

Wow. That is some amazing scenery!
Great job as always! I saw you’re chasing another airplane down the river at one point. Looked great
Owned a 150 30 years ago so enjoy your vids. Current owner is in Tupelo, MS. 30 years later back in the air with a 46 Ercoupe. You do a great vid.

I love airplane smell.
I missed my Burrito cross country flights back in CA, the only frustrating part is when they ran out of tie downs.
Thanks for sharing.
Fly safe!
Beautiful scenery! I'm peanut butter and jealous.
Wow cool video! I’m really digging the sound track!
Looks like a beautiful day for flying. very nice
Very cool, another 150 and a 140? Thanks for sharing, good editting, too. Fly safe!

I love flying rivers, just have to keep a sharp eye out for cables and powerlines.
I used to fly out of Washington state, actually just outside of Spokane. Fairchild AFB.

I'm a little confused. I see a good amount of flap on that last landing. At least 30 degrees on that one.
@@amywhite375 May be my mistake but at 4:30 there seemed to be no flap. Perhaps I caught it at the wrong moment.
@@arunsharma-dx4yn That was just and ending clip of me cruising over the water.

Fun flight up river to Concrete. Short walk down road to Cascade Burger if you forget your picnic basket next time 😬
Thanks!!
Great videos, you should do one how you got into avaition, and the store of your 150, your landing are great, enjoy your flying
Holding ones breath between your video’s is definitely not recommended, ha,ha. Thanks for the movie, beautiful scenery.
Hi Amy
Do you feel much turbulence in the 150 ?
You got a really a nice and a beautiful looking plane .
Videos like this make me want to get a 150

Lol!

The 150 is a fun fly!!!
Is it legal to fly at this height? 1:20
Yes. FAR 91.119. Over sparsely populated areas= 500 feet from any person, vessel, vehicle, or stricter.
