Some of the best camera placement on YT. I'll watch as many videos as you put up, and the more the better. More conversation from you and complete ATC comms would be great!
What a pleasant surprise seeing you and Woodstock again after all this time! Great flight, lots of radio traffic. Thoroughly enjoyed. As always, thanks much for sharing. Steve
Beautiful flight! Definitely enjoyed the video! The 360 lets you add so much visual interest...thanks for going through all the edit machinations to get it to us.
The GLASTAR has to be THE BEST looking light aircraft EVER ! ! ! I loved it from the very first time I saw one, It has lovely lines and looks so sleek and cleverly built too with glass fibre over the steel structure . Great to see Amy so happy with her mew plane -- enjoy.
I think this has got to be one of the most beautiful videos you shot. The camera placements, scenery and overall look of this aviation flying was just perfect.
So happy to see you and Woodstock again ... great views with all the cameras and the 360 under the belly ... your landings are so perfect, absolutely brilliant!
Very nicely placed tailwheel on the stripe when taxiing. Great rudder control. My Aunt lived up on Beacon Hill years ago and we used to walk down to Georgetown and take the bus to Boeing field. (before the freeway). Great memories. We have been to Seattle many times. Love your videos and just subscribed. Ex Stinson driver here in MN.
More please! :) Wonderful flying, expert landings, and one beautiful aircraft! I really hope someone produces a model like yours for MSFS 2020 (even with the same paint scheme) so I can have a Woodstock of my own. Keep the vids coming, Amy!
Wow! The big runway at BFI. I don't think I've ever landed on that one. I always seem to get assigned the little one. Great video. Nice scenery. Happy to have you back! Thanks, Amy.
Enjoyed your video! Boeing field was where I got my PPL. Living in Pierce Co now so I'm flying out of Thun Field (PLU). Beautiful airplane! I'm building a Vans RV7 and hope to be flying that here in a couple years.
For those who have the X-Plane simulator, there is a Sportsman 2+2 plane available which has Woodstock's exact livery. Beautiful plane. Just wish my landings were as nice as Amy's. :)
Thanks, Amy!! My first thought, "Why so technical, radios, traffic?" Boeing Field!! In a pretty yellow tail dragger, and VFR to boot!!! And almost enough shots of the tail wheel that I love so much, too! Very nice for you guys to be able to commute once in a (sort of) fair Northwest day, and very cool to see Seattle from that point of view. Thanks again.
It took me a while to figure out what your home base was. I actually had to watch several of your videos until I saw the fuel farm and the open "carport" hangars before I recognized KCLM. I fly a Maule based out of 0S9 and often fly to PA when I'm just warming the oil with a local jaunt. I'll keep my eyes peeled for Woodstock when I'm there. Your videos and sound are really well done. Way to go! There's a GlasStar in the hangar next to mine that I've flown in several times. It's a great plane. Enjoy.
Nice! 1200fpm on an 0-320, YEAH! Also, that was a perfectly acceptable return landing; a nice solid "clunk" is much easier to be consistent with than a greaser... and I notice how you stick it on once it hits, and then fly the tail down. Nicely done. (Also - love the landing light! WOW!)
Nice day for a flight in the PNW. I LIVE IN SKAGIT VALLEY AND THERE'S NO BETTER PLACE. LOVE IT HERE. NICE FLYING AND LOVE THE NAME WOODSTOCK FOR YOUR PLANE. 👍👍😎✌✌
Amy, enjoyed that video I flew my first solo cross country 22 years ago same route. That view of the Seattle waterfront is something else when youbare on your own for the first time on a cross country. Ian from the Netherlands
Great video and you included some super shots with the editing! Loved that Seattle skyline section. Cheers and blue skies! Why we get dislikes on these videos is way beyond me!
Brought back memories of Port Angeles, at least that looked like the pier and the spit off to the right. Flew out of the Coast Guard spit there for about 5 years. At the time the nicest place I had ever lived.
Great video Amy. New to your channel. I've seen your N number on Flight Radar before but never knew it from UA-cam. Interestingly enough your video was in my recommended. Was cool to see the pull up to Modern. Our Shop is right next door. Also funny to hear you comment on life flight. They are competition to us.
@@amywhite375 I have a little N3 Pup (need to put the wings on it and gitt'r up, literally, just that), but---I've always thought it would bee neat to have some plane (even an N3 pup) and make very VERY complex wings. A 'more perfect' plane for my idea would be something like the NXT (that plane that they use in Reno).... Calculate the optimal size wing for cruising, it will be TINY. Then get your tiny wing and go crazy with triple fowler flaps, slats for the leading edge. Make it so the plane has an 'acceptable' stall, say, around 60mph, and that would be with the massive slats & flaps down... People don't realize how amazing airliners are, they stall at 100ish and go up to 500mph(ish), at least the olde ones would. Sorry---some rambl'n there. The lines of yer bird are so fine....yellow with polished aluminum....oh-ya-baby! AND it's a tail dragger (as it should be!)
Hi, I’m enjoying your videos with your GlaStar. Hope you make more. Perhaps you could make a video of your “story”. For example, how your became interested in aviation, why you decided on the GlaStar, your current location and why etc. Am sorry if you have covered this in other videos. Let me know which ones. Thanks Charlie
Nice to see that you made a wheel-landing into Boeing Field. I have a lot of time in taildraggers and very seldom do I see anyone make a wheel-landing, in person or on youtube.
Hello a greeting from Italy. congratulations for your very beautiful videos and congratulations for your skills as a pilot. In your last video I saw the sunshields hooked to the frame, very beautiful, could you tell me brand and model? Thanks in advance for your kindness. a greeting and see you soon.Henry
9:35 section, you talking is about a third of the volume compared to the earlier radio transmissions in in the airplane. Great video and I'll need to check out Boeing field in FS2020 sim
I think this is a very beautiful plane! but why did you convert it to tailwheel? I enjoy your flights, the videos are good montages and the sound is good!
Very nice Amy. Editing is very time consuming. Are you using a voice recorder with a mic in your headset ear cuff? I see a wire coming from your right ear and I saw what looked like a recorder in the left seat during pickup. I have a very expensive GoPro adapter that has failed. I ordered a replacement, but I'm thinking of getting a digital voice recorder and go with the mic in the ear cuff. Great flying videos. Keep them coming. I got to fly with my new AV-30's and really like then so far. Gary
I’m loving your videos. Do you prefer wheel landings or 3 point? I just bought a Kitfox and I’m starting my Tailwheel training in march and needing as much advice as I can get.
The goal is to be proficient in both! 3-points are the most fool-proof, as you pretty much just flare the airplane. Even if you bounce a little, just pin the stick back and ride it out (BUT KEEP IT STRAIGHT!). Wheel landings can require a lot more finesse and timing, but offer advantages for cross-windy gusty days. The GlaStar tends to be nose heavy, so it actually wheel lands great! Some aircraft require you to come in level and fast and stick it on (Champ) whereas others do best with a "tailwheel low" method of wheel landing. That is, a slight flare to minimize rate of descent of the mains and then releasing that back pressure when they touch. ALSO --- CONGRATS on the airplane and getting the endorsement in March! That's awesome!
Flying with the big ones! I'll bet those C-17 crew members were looking at your airplane thinking, "I'd rather be flying that..." Such a pretty plane!
I bet the wake turbulence is horrible from that C-17

Ok..that is way to cool!! She picks up her boyfriend in a plane.
Splendid job of editing of audio and video; I especially enjoyed vicariously riding along into KBFI. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching!

@@amywhite375 no problem.
Great Post Miss Amy! Looks Like you are getting along with GlaStar very well.....
Those reflections off the bottom of the wing are amazing!
Some high quality images, very nice to see.
The reflections on that surface, magnificent.
As always, a great video. Thanks for sharing, and thank you and your BF for your service. Ha! The video was released on my birthday.
Nice wheel landing, especially when the controller was talking to you while the tail was still airborne!
Handy to have the PTT on the stick for such things!
@@amywhite375 - definitely a skill in my book. Nicely done!
I noticed that, too. Nicely done.
Nice to see you are still getting in some flying
So happy to see you and Woodstock again ... great views with all the cameras and the 360 under the belly ... your landings are so perfect, absolutely brilliant!
The mirror effect from the wing cam is very cool
Haven't been here in a while. So nice to see this again.
I always enjoy your videos. Your editing skills are second to none. Thanks.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback!
I sure like the look with the new gear.
Thanks! I’m a big fan of it too.
Beautiful airplane!!!
And the sights are awesome in that area, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful plane, Amy. I love all the big windows that make it so bright inside.
Im so impressed with your airplane, I've started the search for a Glastar or Sportsmen. Great Content!
Very nicely placed tailwheel on the stripe when taxiing. Great rudder control. My Aunt lived up on Beacon Hill years ago and we used to walk down to Georgetown and take the bus to Boeing field. So good to see you back Amy. The polish on the wings is looking awesome! Hope you had wonderful holidays spent with family and loves ones.
Now I just need to do the other wing. 🤣 Thanks for the comment!
Beautiful airplane, your wing cam gives a great view. Also, I like the new landing gear configuration.
I made four trips from Roche Harbor one weekend flying people back-and-forth 45 minutes of flying over a two to three hour drive and 2 hours on ferry
Isn't it wonderful?
What a nice airplane! 10:38. I know your iPad passcode. :)
You do a really nice job with these videos.
Thank you. (I changed the passcode. Lol. Couldn't tell in my small editing window that it was visible.)
Very nicely done. I am surprised how much I miss your music-oriented editorial style, but having the narrative is awesome all around.
Thanks for sharing your flights with us, Amy.
Excellent video and editing as always. Keep up the great work!

That’s coolest yellow airplane I’ve seen in a long time. I use to fly a yellow Beech Sierra we called it the Cub Scout
As always, great! Loved the 360 belly cam views.

The GlaStar a pretty specific mission profile. Be great at everything, but the best at no particular thing. Sorta STOL, sorta fast. It’s fun for sure.

Nice wheel landing!
Great video Amy! The night shot at the end was cool.
Your wheel landings are much better than my wheel landings.
Good video after a long absence. Thanks!
What an awesome mix of aircraft! Would love to fly there one day.
Beautiful flight, and I love that airplane, the colors are perfect!
No dirty talk lol 😆
Great looking plane 👍
I'm going to do a gloss black or hunter green .
Nah gloss black.....beautiful plane .
So cool!! No way borrowing JDs jet would be as cool!!
Experimentals will be the new norm. Much better performance and way more fun to fly than a production. And did I say 200% cheaper?

Nice that we got a few days of flying weather in WA this month....
MMmm those nice low energy wheelies
Always nice to have another pilot on board. Flying with a mission is a great thing. Did you ever get the AV-30 issues resolved?
Mostly. Their software fix along with the ability to do a hard calibration has really helped.
