Thank you so much for your video! I love your spunk and enthusiasm!! 😃 I’ve been considering a degree in Biomedical Engineering (I’m a science girl - majorly!). I have a background in nursing studies, X-ray, and laboratory. I feel like I want to go down this path. 😊
informative as always:)
watching your vids regardless of them actually applying to my pursuits XD
so well-made!!
😭😭 love you tiffy!
I’m having a really tough time in grade 11, deciding courses and just overall what I want to do. I would love to become a bio engineer but I don’t think I am smart enough for it. I love Bio and physics but I suck at chem :( Having to decide what I want to do and the courses needed for this specific field is killing me
hey, you still have lots of time to learn! honestly, if you have a keen interest in bme, chemistry will just come over lots of time and practice.
I know that I personally struggled with physics in grade 10 (when I took grade 11 physics), but I kept going at it with physics 12 and IB physics HL until it was my absolute favourite course.
best of luck w course selections and applications! you got this :)

I’m not good at math, chemistry, biology and physics 😂 I applied for Biomedical Engineering and I hope to learn a lot and hopefully I’ll be able to manage everything mentally and emotionally. Just start and try, and then we’ll see if it’s for us ❤
@@Mina9135 me sitting here going into the arts 👀 LMAO congratulations to you for going into bioengineering that’s a big achievement. I wish that was the path for me but sometimes it’s good to know where you will excel at and places where you might fall short. For me it was the former. Wishing you an awesome time at your studies
Thank you for this video!!
Love this video thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you for such a very informative video
i can't imagine taking 6-7 courses per term
engineering students built different
LMAO the stereotypes of engineering students complaining about the workout will always be accurate 😂
but ngl cs students are actually goated w those employment rates :o
@@floguo LOL its only at like 50% rn
something something 225%
🤔
@floguo how many credits are each course? I'm very confused with engineering studies in America. It's so different from where I'm from (Belgium, Europe).
Here every engineers have 1 and 1/2 year together with the same courses. Then we have to chose 2 options (I took chemical and biomedical engineering) for 1 and 1/2 year too. Then we can chose from the 2 which field we take for the master. So messed up lmao. 1 year is 60 ECTS (credits). I usually have 6 courses per semester.
Anyway I was wondering if you have as much credits as well for 4 years therefore learning way more biomedical related subjects than us. Or if you have less workload and therefor we are just learning more than we should because of the mandatory 2 options and the 1 and 1/2 year of mandatory courses. Sorry for my bad English
lol engineering? Business has the most courses and credit hours.
Is it required to join a private tuition for BME or is the education provided by the university enough?
Actually I want to study advance diploma in biomedical engineering at Centennial College. Is it a good choice or should I study another subject?
Thank you it was useful video 💕🙏
aw my pleasure! I’m glad you found it helpful 🥺❤️
What a great video!
I had one question by the way,
I am a Junior in high school and taking many classes related to biology and doing lots of health care extracurricular activities, but I haven't taken many computer sciences or engineering subjects. (I took just one AP computer science class, lots of math, statistic, and physics.
Do you think since I haven't done any extracurricular activities for codings and computer science, I will be limited to the chance of entering BME major in college?
Thank you! and I am getting tons~~~ of information from you :)
Thanks for making this great video, once again 😄🥰
I'm glad you found this helpful :)
Honestly, you can definitely take this summer/time before uni applications to explore personal projects or join new organizations. Since you've already done AP CS, trying to build a health-related app and shipping it would be a great place to start.
As long as you're involved with other extracurriculars, it doesn't really matter whether you have CS experience prior to uni - I definitely didn't have much coding expertise in high school haha
Best of luck!!
@@floguo that was so much helpful! Thank you so much!!
Hi
Can I get into 3rd year of bme right after prepatory classes ?
7:15 i thought about doing that last term but still haven't been able to get it together so looks like that video will never be made LOL
LOL one day... 😅
Thank You for this!! I'm planning to go into biochem but BME sounds cool too, could you give some insight on the differences.
第一第一!High quality video!
hhh 谢谢!!
Thank you for all of these information 💕💕💕
Quick question: does Waterloo require some sort of essay when applying as an undergraduate? Or do they just look at your grades?
Waterloo also requires a supplementary application (admissions information form) comprised of around 5-7 short answer/paragraph responses :)
@@floguo Thank you!
I'm a electronics and automation tech. Can I pursue masters in bme ? In which feild?
hiii! thank you for this video! if you don’t mind, what do plan to do with this degree? would you be doing post grad? ✨
I'm still exploring my options through my co-ops! I'm currenting interning as a digital product desiger, but I plan to do something within the tech space (considering design, product management, software) post-grad :)
Hello which core subject core thats allow to study bme in diploma
i live in Srilanka,,,I wanna be a BME And work in foreign,,,can u tell something about this ?
Hey, I just want to ask for your opinion. I’m good at chemistry but I suck at Biotech 1 (as a highschool student) and I want to be in biomedical. I feel like because I suck at biotech I won’t stand a chance in Biomedical and it’s crushing my soul lol. What do you think? Should I just give it time?
Definitely give it a shot! I find that in my degree, I don't actually do a ton of biotech stuff -- mostly typical engineering courses with bme applications and the odd engineering biology or anatomy/physiology course.
Though, it definitely depends on your program of choice, as they may have different courseloads. If you end up not liking BME, I also know people who have transferred into other engineering programs as well.
Best of luck! :)
I have one question. Please reply me. I studying bme in India. How can I get job in Japan please reply me
Thank you
Hie as someone who's about to start year 12 next week i am kinda confused i know i want to do biomedical engineering but physics is kinda hard for me and also i haven't done computer science can you share some tips on what subject requirements a biomedical engineering degree needs
In the beginning of undergrad, you cover core engineering courses: math, physics chemistry. You also cover biology. Further into the program you cover basic circuits, programming, material science, mechanical analysis. Depending on your interests and college program, the rest can vary.
Am I able to study extreme type of physics lessons in BME?
hey there! do you mind specifying what you mean by extreme types of physics?
I'd note that I only have one elective per year in first and second year. you can always use one of these slots for an additional physics elective (we take statics I in first year and dynamics in second).
you can find a list of the approved electives here:

Hey hi...
Can you pls help me out...
I'm weak at maths and phy
But I'm interested in biomedical engineering
Is it maths and phy very difficult....
Biomedical is good career for girls ?.....
Pls help me out by your ideas...
what aps did u take back in high school
hi can i ask if i need to take bio Alevels to become a biomedical engineer? im taking chemistry and physics, but not bio. will that be okay?
I personally didn't take biology 12 since biology wasn't a requirement for most Canadian BME programs, but not sure about the UK system!
Your video is so exciting. I just saw it. Do you have a video about how can we improve ourself in bme?
I am studying bme in Turkey, as well.
I love this major. If you do not have any video about I said, could you record and upload ?
It would be fantastic
Thank you for watching and the video idea! I’ll add it to my list :) Glad that you’re loving BME 🦾

I have heard that it is better to study another engineering like mechanical or electrical engineering and then doing a master in biomedical engineering. What should I do? Is it easy to find a job? Greetings from Spain
Did you found an answer ?
@@hildonomyme1810 not really. I just choose biomed. Now, I am at first year. My teachers say that it is a good degree, with a high probability of finding a job in the future. If I were you, I would choose which of them you like the most. Biomed is a broad and interesting field
I would say it depends! If you know that you want to work in health but don’t know which facet yet, I’d choose BME. Otherwise, if you’re determined to do a specific type of engineering, I’d choose a more specific discipline :) All the best with your studies!
@@hildonomyme1810 i just chosed what I liked the most, and that was BIOMED. Trust me, engineering it's a hard degree so at least choose one that you are interested in. BIOMED it's really interesting and I'm sure you'll find a job.
you're so pretty wow
aw thank you! you're so sweet :)
hi just saw this and damn now im torn between wanting to design houses and dedicating my fickle lifespan to construct a baymax robot
informative video btw ur so pretty
LOL i feel ur comment on another level… have you considered ux/product design? it’s a nice mix of design thinking and getting to build cool tech things :)
@@floguo i don't know if i have it here in our country but i mainly set my goals to go for architectural design in college but idk im still in high school and its been eating me up for days lol anw thanks for the video miss
Thanks a lot
Can you explain bio elecrtric course in bme?
Hey Shayan, I haven't taken any bio-electric/signals signals courses yet in my first year! Sorry to disapoint :')
Tnx pls guys help me any mini project for biomedical enginnering pls pls guys
What if I d like math and physics
After completion of Diploma in bio medical engineering what we do

Can you go to med school to become a surgeon with a biomedical engineering degree
yes
@@kimjong-un8543 what how is that??Nd since it’s easier than getting into medicine from the start then why don’t all pp do it.
??
@@mnnr9310 To do a medical post graduate degree you only need an undergraduate degree. Most people will do biology or some medical related field like neuroscience or anatomy but you could do literally any degree and it wouldnt stop you from getting into med school.
@@kimjong-un8543 and then you start studying the 6 years again? Or is it just 2 since your undergraduate degree is 4 years?
@@mnnr9310 Im not sure which country youre talking about but in the usa you need to do a 4 year undergraduate degree (in anything) and then you do your 4 years of medical school. In australia for example you could do the exact same thing or just do medical school out of high school except itll usually go for 5-7 years in that case.

Simple question: is it hard for a guy who doesnt enjoy biology?
Not necessarily - you can definitely still do BME! The extent and depth of biology that you want to study is up to you and what type of BME applications you want to explore
@@floguo oh thank you for this. I needed it 😊
Hi, we are the official account of biomedical engineering in Spain and we have just seen your video on the interner. We would like to dona collaboration with you if you like☺️
The tuition is not your average coffee money 😭😭
Btw, Mechatronics Engineering is also quite interesting for those who are interested in robotics ;)
LOL agreed... 😭😭 literally > 2x ubc eng tuition
also tron is indeed pretty awesome :D
If you want to be a doctor and engineer at the same time. Lol Im working as a biomedical engr for about 5 years now.
that's awesome!! hope you're enjoying working in industry :D
